Bought this DVD for my 2 year old grandson who is a big Jake fan. However, this was a little too busy for his attention span. Perhaps when he gets a little older, he will enjoy. As for myself, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

jake has evolved.captain hook is not the simple adversary anymore.plots and villains a little darker and more complicated.still captures the attention of the kids.i admit myself I like the anticipation of the next villain.

My daughter loves this collection of shows . old jack finally becomes a captain in this set of shows . lots of action and fun for all kids and kids at heart.

My grandson just loved it, keeps asking to watch it over and over again. It has several episodes that gives variety. Came with free Colossus Puzzle Ship.

This DVD contains the double length episode where Jake becomes a Captain and 10 additional episodes. Running time is 117 minutes. The special episode contains a somewhat frightening bad guy ( not Capt Hook) and a sea monster which may be a little scary for sensitive 2-3 year olds. There is nothing potentially frightening in the other Jake DVDs we own.

I bought this for my 5 year old son who loves pirates. He and his 2 year old brother both enjoy watching it.

My two year old loves the adventures Jake and the pirates bring!! Very entertaining and keeps his attention.

My children have always loved this show. And it is one I don't mind them watching on long trips in the car.

Sometimes it is just better to just turn on the TV an not buy some movie based on a TV program. Jake is ok but I think tv shows do not let kids think on their own. Just saying. Kids need to develop critical thinking...even as as young as 2 years old. You would be surprised.

My kid loved it. Had it on repeat for a week straight. I also enjoyed watching some of these.

What kid doesn't love Jake, love that it came with a boat for the kids to construct.

This is a little more intense than the usual Jake stuff, but my son loves it.
