Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is one of the smartest, most charming puzzle games of 2014. Treasure Tracker takes the core concept of Captain Toad and runs wild with it. It’s a smart, adorable puzzle game that presents some awesome locales and really rewards you for taking the time to unpack them. Despite the control issues and menu problems, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker proves that you can still be great without being Super.

Toad is the best, and this game is good if you like puzzles. the Amiibo adds in a little extra when you replay the levels. The only complaint I have is the Toad Amiibo is exactly the same as the standard toad Amiibo. I wish they had made it unique to this game. If Mario can have seven Amiibos, Toad could have two.

Captain Toad is not only a fun puzzle game, but one of the few games that I don't mind playing with the Wii U gamepad. The game scales well in difficulty and has around 80 levels including the Bonus levels. The included Amiibo is from the Super Mario line and is used only as a bonus feature and does not affect core game play. By activating the Amiibo, you can replay a previously completed level to find the 2D Toad (sort of a mini-game). Highly recommended for people of all ages.

I enjoyed the Captain Toad levels in Super Mario 3D World, so I wanted this game. When the price dropped, I picked it up, and I wasn't disappointed. The levels are well-designed and the graphics look great. The game is oozing with Nintendo's charm, from the colorful worlds and characters, to the little details, like Toad shivering in the cold. I took off one star because, even though the game is great, and short (less than 10 hours, easy), I felt it started to drag on towards the end. To me, this game felt like two $15-20 eshop releases put together on a disc, and I think I would have enjoyed the game more broken into two pieces and played at different times. That said, this is still a very fun game, and a worthy addition to any Wii U owner's library.

Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker is one of the funnest games on the Wii U. You control Toad and you must track down treasure as the title states. Tilting the gamepad will reveal hidden secrets in each level. Make sure to pick up the version with the Toad amiibo to unlock extra challenges.

Although Nintendo has moved on to a new system, there are a few gems that Wii U owners could still add to their collection. This game not only gives Toad a starring role, but it comes at a reduced price and includes the Amiibo figure. Sure, it is a bit short, but it has that great Nintendo charm and addicting action-puzzle gameplay. It's worth dusting off the old Wii U and giving it one last spin.

The game is very simple and fun. The simplicity of it makes you want to complete everything in the game so beware, and there is a gateway amiibo if you buy this version

Got this with GCU for 31.99, and it was worth it! Amiibo plus a really fun game! Similar to the toad levels in Super Mario 3D world.

What an awesome game and amiibo bundle - hours of fun!

If you've played Super Mario 3D Land, you will recognize this game immediately. This essentially the mini-game in SM3DLwhich involves solving a puzzle by moving you character (Captain Toad) around a building and solving ways to get to the goal. If you enjoyed it in SM3DL, then you enjoy even more of those types of puzzles.
