The worst thing about this game is car handling/physics. Handling is a loosely used term, because your vehicles are atrocious to drive. Epic fail. The AI have the ability to zone in on you, attach themselves to you and push you around until you explode and/or fly 100 feet into the air. You do respawn for more senseless torture. It's like a kiddie arcade game, except it's violent nature is something I wouldn't think of letting a youngster play. The satanic soundtracks grow really old fast, unless you're into that sort of sickness. Fortunately, they can be shut off completely. The "smelly bushes" achievement. Nice double entendre. You need to find 50 of these tiny suckers in gigantic maps. Good luck. No guides online as of yet. No clue in game as to when you might be near one. Now for the positives.......wait, wait, wait. Okay, I can't think of any. I would not recommend this title, period.

First off, I have not played a Carmageddon game before, but I played pretty much every other car combat and demolition derby game to ever exist, I don't know how the AI was in the old Carmageddon games, but it was god awful in Max Damage. 6 cars per event, not counting enforcers. 2-3 of the AIs would relentlessly come after you within 15 seconds of every event start, and the rest would go on to participate in the event. Their cars had 3x or so more power, weight, and durability than what was recorded (you drive X car and Y car pushes you around like nothing. You switch to Y car and X car pushes you around like nothing), and it got very annoying very quickly. The most fun I had was when I unlocked the final enforcer (I assume you unlock them by destroying them enough times, don't quote me on this but as they scale, it's 10/5/1), which was a pretty quick, very heavy, very lethal armored swat truck, and I don't think you should have to use something that OP to have fun in a game like Carmageddon. If half of the field of AIs AND the enforcers wouldn't come after you exclusively, it would be 10x more fun. Story took me a good 4 days to complete, got 90% of the achievements, absolutely nobody found in Matchmaking... if you're unsure, wait for a sale.

Was excited that this was coming out for Xbox One because I played Carmaggedon 2 on PC back when I was a kid and had a blast! That game ruled, so I was stoked they were kinda rehashing into a new generation platform version. Though it can be frustrating at times, tbis game is certainly fun, lived up to my expectations, and brought back memories!

Playing this took me back to when the first GTA came out on PC. but with better graphics. Loads of game play options, challenging and fun. I have found myself playing this one more often than my usual habits.

If you enjoyed the first two Carmageddon games back in the DOS days, this is like a "greatest hits" version of both of those games. I haven't gotten to play it for a long time, but what's here is good and fun.

This is a reissue/update of a 15+ year old computer game. If you're looking for some mindless fun then this is a game you should get. It also does wonders for tension and stress relief.

The controls are clunky the cars all handle the same and the graphics are horrible... The fun of running people over and reliving the twisted metal days wears off quick.

Outrageous graphics. Politically incorrect humor and strong language. This is not a proper drivers education course for the insane.

I got this on sale for $20. The game is fun when playing with friends, and the single player/campaign mode is alright.

This was fun to play worth the low price if you like crashing cars and going crazy this is for you.

If you played and enjoyed Carmageddon 1 or 2 you will love Max Damage. A few new modes have been added. It's not a technical powerhouse but it's super fun. If you enjoy smashing into other cars or running over pedestrians, give it a try.

Haven't had a chance to play game yet but looks like fun

Game very similar to the likes of Twisted Metal and Full Auto but does not add anything new to the table.

Had to purchase this to feed my video game addiction. i played this when i was in high school and had to try this newer version. plays just like the original and has better graphics.
