This is one of Sufjan Stevens most emotional cd's to date. You can really feel it in his lyrics about the death of his Mom. A must have for anyone who loves music and likes to feel it too. I played this cd everyday for a month and then my daughter and I drove to Indianapolis to see him live. Amazing show!!!

Just buy it; it's not quirky or upbeat. It's a heartfelt tale about his estranged relationship with his stepmother. The song that will tear you up profusely is 'Fourth Of July'.

This is an incredibly personal album that many will relate to. The music and lyrics are beautiful. Best album I have heard so far this year. Highly recommended.

very chill, very one sided, so voice and instrument don't look for anything else of this or look elsewhere, chill album, nice voice plus my girl likes it too

Great album. Played non-stop for a good while. Gets back to his roots. Great story telling comes through in a simple presentation.

There are few singer songwriters around today more gifted and compelling than Sufjan. A very moving collection of songs.

Carrie & Lowell is another great album by Stevens. Quite a departure from his others, but probably his best.

I streamed it online for a month before buying it. My favorite song is Should Have Known Better. if you are a fan of Sufjan's other work, you will like this one.

Stevens is just so creative with his writing including mythos in such surreal ways. Plus, he's so calming to listen to on the drive. Love that guy!

This is a good/well written CD, if this is your kind of music. Not my favorite genre, but if you like indie, you should love this.
