Catan is a great game. We played it for Thanksgiving and had an awesome time. I recommend learning how to play it by installing the Catan app on your phone as indicated in the game rules. We followed the instructions from the app step by step and were ready to go. Have fun!

For family time, we've been looking for games that are popular and that we can play with the kids. This one was one of the first that we bought on recommendation and it's been great. Very fun that we bought the expansion to play more than 4 people. Learning curve is not bad and many others play so chance to play with others is pretty good. It's a staple like monopoly to add to the game bookshelf.

Watched a video online of someone playing, read the reviews, was not disappointed. This game is fun and easy enough for my 6 year old daughter to have a firm grasp on.

I was introduced to Catan a few years ago and it's a great game. I think it's the most fun with 4 players, but if you have more people and don't have the expansion you can have teams of two. There is a slight learning curve, but once you play it a couple of times you get the hang of it. The game I received was well made and I had no issues with it or any of the pieces.

I grew up playing this game for years at summer camp. Everyone played it. It's relatively simple, but is packed with fun. There are a ton of expansions for it if you want to add more rules or complexity.

This is a very fun strategy game. We play with our 7 year old boy, and he can understand the game after playing one time. It is a very fun game for the cold winter. We plan to get the extension for the next winter.

Catan has simple rules that combine to create a complex game. Sometimes frustrating when rolls go against you, but many ways to win.

I went to visit a friend in NY and her husband is a board game fanatic he has probably all the board games ever. We decided on a game night and he choose Catan. We had a blast playing. Just recently I had a game night at my house and had different people playing. It’s appropriate for different ages and everyone has fun. Just recently bought the 5-6 player expansion.

I have been wanting to purchase this game for a while. Was glad they carried it at Best Buy and I could put some reward zone points toward it.

This is an excellent game that allows anyone to win any game regardless of how the game may start. Most board games don't allow for a different experience each and every game. Huge strategy boost with the differing game layout each game. My lone disappointment is that I wasn't introduced to this game years ago.

Our son encouraged us to buy this game at thanksgiving and it was the only game we played that entire weekend. With 5 of us in the family we had to go out and get the expansion pack so all of us could play. Definitely a keeper that will be in the family game rotation. We would love to share with our friends as well

After this game, Monopoly feels boring and based only on luck. Great strategy game, especially when combined with the Seafarers expansion. Awesome purchase for cold seasons - gather with friends at cozy place and have fun! :)

A great game that becomes even greater with expansions that add more players. Trade, scheme, build, and win! I have never played a more entertaining board game. You might lose friends, however.

Catan is a great introduction to the world of board games beyond Monopoly, Sorry and other well known board games. Easy to start and explain. Its a great activity for people of all ages!

I enjoyed learning and playing this game. I will say the younger set picked it up faster than I did. There are some confusing points to the rules, but overall a fun experience.

Play this game frequently with friends, and we all love it! It is for only up to 4 players though, so the expansion pack is needed for up to six players.

Catan is a classic board game. This set has very good quality. Doesn't like the cheap fake set sold on Ebay. And it is very very fun to play with friends.
