This Machine Head CD has some hard hitting songs and some catchy riffs. They are an even better band to see live!

Not the best album, but it’s still a good jam, had some good mix of machine heads classics with new stuff.

Machine Head's most diverse piece of work released

Definitely not there best work but there are a few good jams on it!!

Having been a fan since 93, I've seen Machine Head go through so many different changes While Catharsis may not be their best, it's still MUCH better than some "fans" say that it is.

The lyrics for a little cliche but the sound behind them is still good. Not as good a the older work but still worth a listen if a fan of Machine Head.

A good piece of work by an excellent metal band. Their earlier albums are far better but they have set the bar high for themselves. Definitely check out their early work!

Just because its different doesn't mean it isn't good. Takes some getting used to but has a lot of good songs. Not as heavy as usual and more slow songs than expected.

This isn't the best album Machine Head has released but it's pretty good. Definitely give it a shot if you enjoyed their past albums because it's bound to grow on you.

You would think at their 9th album, Machine Head would be starting to sound repetitive and stale. I'm pleased to say that's not the case they took some chances and with some bold statements on this album released a very solid piece of music. Not their best work because it's 75 minutes the album is a little bit bloated. But definitely another solid album from a great American heavy metal band.

Machine Head continues to reinvent themselves with each album. This one is no different. Crushing songs that have defined them along with some new, softer material give the album a solid mix of dynamic. A concept album with stand-alone songs. A must for any Machine Head fan.

I'm happy machine head is still going strong. Many great tracks on this album.

It's good but not their best. I really dig the album overall minus a few songs.

This album is pretty decent. Mainly picked it up for the awesome live dvd.
