This is a remaster/re-release of the og Catherine game. I don't want to say it is the same game--it is in some aspects but still offers new content in story and gaming wise. No spoilers but if you haven't played the og, I recommend playing this game without any walk through or context for a unique experience. Tip: don't play it in front of others. Because reasons.

If you've played the original Catherine and enjoyed your time climbing block towers, then you will enjoy this version as well. The voice actors remain excellent, and the new character is very interesting. There are new additions to the story even if you choose one of the original two heroines. If you missed out on Catherine the first time around, this is the version to get.

I can say for nothing else that I have never played a game like this before. With that said it was accompanied by fun gameplay, that although did get a bit stale by the end was very fun nonetheless once I got the hang of it. The narrative was the reason this is a must have, the hilarious, awkard, and sad situations the character goes through is worth a watch.

This game is a lot of fun and delivers a good combination of fast paced puzzle solving and social sim elements. The story is also handled in a very mature, well done way and the characters feel human. Can highly recommend especially when this version adds many convenience features such as the safety mode for those who have difficulty doing these puzzles under time pressure.

This is really not that different from the original, still very fun, some added storyline and extra parts but overall still a hilariously fun game.

I Played the first game which is a mix of adventure, action and puzzle elements and I did enjoy it so this sequel should be more of the same.

I'll preface this by saying the original Catherine was my favorite game of the ps3/xbox 360 era. This is a slight tweaking of the original levels with an added in 3rd option RIn. The puzzle half of the game is challenging and addicting and the story half is engaging and will make you wanting more. Absolutely pick up this cult classic.

This is unqine Japanese game that was on ps3 and 360(play both of them and only beat one). Now remaster for the ps4 with more add story parts and also more modes like co op. Only thing I have to say it is still a awesome game but I recommend this for mature anime lover of storytelling and puzzle fans.

Most of the story is almost the same with so many changes along with extra scenes and just so much more than the original last gen version. Think of this as an expansion or remake maybe? It's a great game with some intricate puzzles but that just might be me who thinks that they're intricate.

This game is so unique, I can't think of a single other game to compare it to. Part action puzzle platformer, part relationship simulator with an insane and engaging story. This game goes into topics that few games bother to touch and with this version, brand new characters and story elements have been added in to make things even nuttier. The puzzle elements can get tricky and stressful since there's monsters at your feet, but this new release offers an "saftey mode" to skip these puzzles if you're only interested in seeing the story arcs play out. The story is perhaps not for the weak-of-heart, but my wife loved watching me play to see how Vincent would try to get out of his precarious and insane situations. You may see people trolling this game due to "censorship" but what they are referring to is literally a single letter being added to a single character's name IN THE CREDITS ONLY. So pay no attention to the trolls on this one and check this game out ^_^

A graphical upgrade from the PS3 version and adds another female character to the mix--turning this love triangle into a love rhombus. Climbing the tower of cubes is still as tight and brain teasing as ever. All the same quirks and laughs from your typical Atlus game. Love it.

I would have enjoyed this more if the conversation decisions were more nuanced and had more weight. Instead they were very binary and simplistic. The puzzles are HARD, so if you loved the more elaborate Tetris style games, you'll probably love this one.

This isn't just a lazy port. They added new dialogue, new scenes, a third romantic interest to the game, a remix of the puzzles, and even Joker from P5(as DLC). Even if you've never played the original and are on the fence on this game, it's worth the investment.

This is a remaster of the ps3/360 catherine. The new character, Rin, is added to the story from the very start. Surprisingly, they feel like a natural fit and like they were always there. This is the best version of a cult classic.
