This game is perfectly crafted and is everything it was intended to be. With a compelling story of battle against will. You fight to reach the top of the mountain. With every perfect jump you land, lands you a step closer in accomplishing that feat! Latch onto walls, bounce off of spring boards and use the environment around to make it to the top! If you’re a true explorer, while searching every corner of the game you will stumble upon the original Celeste which this game is based on! Limited Run games blessed us with a remastered classic and I can’t say thank you enough. Pick up this game. Don’t think about it, just buy it and enjoy this fun thrilled adventure. You may even shed a tear for Madeline. (Tear of Joy of course!!)

One of the best games I’ve ever played! I understand why it was nominated for so many awards, including Game of the Year at the Game Awards in 2018. If you like fun but challenging platformer games with fun gaming mechanics and a great plot involving mental health this game is definitely for you!

More than worth the price. Phenomenal, responsive controls, clever level design, and a surprisingly impactful story. I've spent hours and hours with this, and the difficulty curve really good for any experienced game player. I think anyone can get through the story, but the extra levels will *really* test you. Great game.

I bought this game because I was looking for something that resembled the Neopets game Hannah and the Pirate Caves thar i played as a kid. Its not that similar lol but familiar enough i can pretend! I normally don't enjoy games where you die millions of times, but Celeste is different. I really appreciate that one you clear an area, you don't have to repeat it when you die. So many games make you restart an entire level, but in Celeste I can get 2/3 through a level and die 50 times on the last part and not have to redo the whole thing. This takes the anxiety out of the experience, so i can actually enjoy playing! Great game. Worth the buy.

    A Super Challenging Modern Classic

Celeste is one of the most challenging games you will ever play, period. However, the challenge never feels unfair. You’ll feel compelled to try again until you get it, and the sense of accomplishment upon finishing a challenging level is something few games can boast. The story is far deeper than most games, let alone indie games, touching on themes of depression and existentialism. A must play for any gamer.

Finished this game in a couple days and got hooked when I started it. The controls are easy to learn and there is a lot you can do with the movement options given. Be prepared to die a lot of times but in the end it is worth it. The story is actually good too and it is fun to play.

Celeste is a great game. The graphics are awesome the gameplay feels fluid and the story is great. I immediately fell in love with this game because of how fun it was and beat it it about 11 days time. This game is now one of my favorites and I look forward to playing it a second time. The only thing I personally think was bad was that in order to access the final stage you need to collect four hearts which you get by completing b-sides and I had no clue the hearts existed until the end of the game and while a small hiccup I still must remove a star for it.

A definite favorite game of mine. Great platforming, great challenges especially after beating the main story, music is absolutely fantastic and the story itself is one full of heart and meaning, and honestly hit close to home for me. 10/10 I definitely recommend this game

I first played Celeste almost a year ago and it is such a good game. The story seems basic from the outside, but when you actually start to make progress you eventually learn more about the main protagonist, Madeline. The platforming in the game is top notch, but can be very difficult later in the game. The Limited Run physical release comes with a small ~30 page Instruction Guide/Artbook as well as the full game and Chapter 9: Farewell DLC on the cartridge. Whether you purchase the physical version or digital version you get the Chapter 9: Farewell DLC for free. I highly recommend anyone who has even a little bit of interest in this game play it, it will not disappoint.

From the level design to the soundtrack Celeste just draws you in to its incredible world. It has to be one of the absolute best platformers in the last 20 years and to have a physical copy is just the icing on the cake. Thank you Matt Makes Games Inc., Limited Run Games, and Best Buy!

This game came highly recommended, and after playing for a while, I can see why. This is, like a few types of games on the Switch, a simple and simply constructed game. Or so you initially find. After a little while, you get sucked in, and find yourself playing continuously even though the game can be really tough. You'll struggle, like the character, but you will enjoy the whole thing.

Lot of the reviews you will find online for this title are spot on. It is hard to put down and very difficult to master. Celeste tracks your total number of deaths, and despite being a seasoned platformer I was surprised how quick my total hit 1,000 (and it is still climbing!). The game is still fun though as you learn fast with each failure and want to keep pressing on. There is also an assist mode for players who are not quite getting that next jump.
