STAY AWAY !! Worst Possible Outcome - DO NOT BUY

The first one arrived DESTROYED. After some hassle, a 2nd arrived. It was damaged, but I could build it. I built this and placed a protective cover on it. 3 Months went by before it was used. After I pulled the cover off, the grill was riddled with rust. Paint was chipping all over and ever corner was rusted bad. I used the grill. Cleaned it, and put it away for a week. Upon the next use, it was worse. I contacted customer support with CharBroil. They stated that this had been approved and we would be able to fix the issues. After a month with them, they decided to ship me the parts that were damaged at my expense. Mind you, I did not pay a shipping charge to begin with. After being told that they would look into another solution, 3 weeks went by with emails being written every week. I called 3 times (over 3 hours total) before speaking to someone. They stated that there was nothing they could do. Now the regulator has failed (after 3 uses of gas) and the charcoal grate/well has rusted too. This has had 2 uses (since the gas is not functioning). I would shy away from any product that the manufacturer does not stand behind. STAY AWAY!!!

It took about an hour to assemble.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, this grill is the best of both worlds; you can grill over charcoal to get a good hot sear and then slow roast your meat of choice on the gas side. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the grill is not the heavy duty quality of a weber, but it cost's nearly a 10th the price. The front adjustment knobs for the charcoal side developed surface rust quickly.
