It was thrilling and entertaining. Even though this movie didn't relate to the book and so much different from the original movie, it was still a great movie. The storyline was not well scripted, but the actors did a great job. The costumes were creative, and the music and stunts that occurred was superb. The kids love this movie which is the most important thing.

Shopping online and picking up at the store was so easy. I was able to save on the shipping cost since I picked it up myself, and the movie is great. I got home and watched it that night. My daughter wouldn't stop watching either!

Tim Burton delivers another home run with his re-adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic. Johnny Depp once again works fantastically with Burton to give a charming, funny and memorable performance. But the star of this, and all Tim Burton flicks, is the imaginative imagery and cinematography. Tim Burton remains a treasure.

When i saw this movie it was a million times better than the original! it has more excitement and gusto. Now that i saw it, it has to be my favorite movie now. i cant believe that there are individuals that dont like it. to me its impossible to think that. this movie is HILARIOUS!!!! I would recommend it to everyone!

Johnny Depp is great as Willy Wonka. Definately different than the original but very entertaining. My family loves this movie and have watched it several times.

We had a copy of this movie that we lost and we just needed another copy since we love it so much! And this time we got into the extras where my daughter could learn some of the Oopma-Loopma dances - she LOVED it!!

loved the movie it was more like the way the man wrote the story ! Dont get me wrong loved the orig with Gene Wilder but it wasnt like the book while this one was and Depp played it fantastic !.

Another incredible film by Tim Burton. It's funny, quirky, and colorful. The score by Danny Elfman has some great themes and I love the new Oompa Loompa songs.

Tim Burton movies are always the best. Johnny Depp does a good job playing this character as he does in his other movies. I like this one better than the original.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this DVD. The portrayal of the whimsical tale was spot on and very entertaining. The musical score was annoying to me, though.

This recreation was medicore at best. Depp, acting was, well lets say not up to par. Also it seemed like every scene Depp was in the surrounding area was gloomy, no bright colors, I understand that the character was sad, but this was supposed to be fun, vibrent, and funny. This movie was none of that.

I love Johnny Depp. I love Tim Burton. But I absolutely HATE this movie. I wanted to give it a chance, even though I felt it was unnecessary ("Willy Wonka" is a classic). But it was just TOO weird. The feel of it wasn't right. Where Gene Wilder was offbeat and funny, Johnny Depp was just...creepy. The back-story about Willy Wonka's dad was so not needed. The kids did a good job, but the fact that Veruca Salt didn't sing the "I Want the World" song takes this movie down more points for me (my favorite scene in the original). And the only GOOD points of this movie can be found in the original. All in all, new technology does NOT make a better film. See the original. Forget this one. By the way, the Oompa Lumpas are not nearly as cool as they were in the original. They're kinda stupid in this one, actually.

Based off the Roald Dahl childrens book, This twisted and bizarre remake of the 1971 classic film, and directed by Tim Burton, is extremely poor. A relatively good cast and production team goes to waste here. Stick with the infinitely better 1971 version starring Gene Wilder and titled 'Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.'
