The red and black color changing feature only lasted for a couple months. Now it is a murky pinkish grayish brown, all the time (see photos of hot and cold kettle). Yes, it’s fast and quiet, and it does its job of boiling water well, hence the 2 stars. But since I bought this to replace a very nice nickel kettle that had been on our counter for years, it really is a downgrade. :(

Kettle is heavy but keeps water hot. Kind of fun to watch change color. Heats water in a good time.

I had a Caribou kettle prior to this and the lid shattered, so I returned it and got this one. I like this one so much better!! The capacity is great and it heats up really quickly. We use it every single day. My husband loves that it turns bright red when it’s hot. :)

This was a present for my brother who loves tea. He set it up on his birthday. The color changing is the best part. You are able to see it reaching boiling point in case you want to stop the process. The boiling was quite fast. A unique gift for sure.

Bought this cuz I ruined my roommates tea kettle. Left the stove on and all the water went bye-bye causing the ceramic coating on the inside to chip off and that’s probably not good for you. That’s probably not good for anyone. But I solved that problem with this electric one since it won’t even turn on if it is empty. Although it wouldn’t be any better if you were colored blind cuz it turns red when the water boils. I am not however so this is an awesome kettle. Don’t really use it to make just ramen soup which is does beautifully. Not actually putting the soup in the kettle but heating the water is a breeze. It’s 2 steps. Fill with water. Push down button. Soup. Ok 3 steps.

This cute little Kettle changes from black to bright red when the water is hot. Doesn't take up a lot of room on the counter and works fast! Bought it on the deal of the day, so the price was reasonable.

Bought this with a bit of skepticism, but would recommend after having this for about a month now. Heats up very fast and lobe the color change to red when the water gets hot.

Followed directions. Filled half way first time,it took 5 minutes to boil. I like the color change from black to red. I would say it was faster than the stovetop kettle.

This little machine is fast in heating up the water & it's really easy to use! I love that it's read when it's hot.. it helps if you have kids.

Quickly heats up water. I use it for steaming my tea bags. I LOVE IT!!! An item I wish I had purchased one years ago.

I really like this kettle, especially the changing color when the water is hot. It's a good size that doesn't get too heavy to pick up when it's full and it boils the water quickly and then shuts itself off.

I was happy with the product, but only for a month. I primarily used it to boil water for my tea. It stopped working after just one month of use. It was quick and loved the color changing to let me know it is ready.

I bought my mother this electric kettle because her other kettle started to wear down. My mom loves it and she says it’s perfect. As long as she loves the product I’m good. Definitely recommend to people like coffee or tea.

Its best Feature is that it lets you know when your water is ready to serve. It heats up water fairly quickly as well, no leaks or malfunctions.

Color change from black to red when the water totally @boiling point, only bother you when the cool down period with the "click..." noises.
