Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the ease of use, delicious food quality, and the surprisingly good value for the price of the 2.5L Analog Air Fryer. Many appreciate the low oil usage and the crispness achieved, resulting in food that tastes as good as deep-fried alternatives. However, some find the cooking basket to be on the smaller side, limiting the amount of food that can be cooked at once. A few users also mention some minor issues with the timer's functionality.

In my finding, this item read the best option for the money. I've now used this unit beginning 1/2019, the basket handle release button clear cover broke off in first month, and only once since new in 7/2020 has the timer knob stuck in place without counting down. The fix was to adjust timer knob 1 additional minute, hasn't repeated issue since that one time. Now, the real gripe is the air fryer basket and the quality of non-stick surface material used. The overall handling of fryer basket feels lightweight & semi-flimsy and on the cheap-side, but the non-stick fryer basket surface makes this unit only 3 STAR due to extreme poor quality material used for the non-stick property. The fryer basket's non-stick surface began its peeling at first wash and has degraded completely since, food sticks during cook cycle requiring a heat resistant spatula or tongs to remove cooked foods. Fryer basket cleanup isn't simple, but requires soaking and serious cleaning effort to insure a bacteria free basket. This air fryer fries foods extremely well and evenly if you follow pamphlet instructions, so don't think you're going to fill this basket to the brim and get a great result because it isn't designed that way. This air fryer unit handles in my opinion adequate servings for two persons, maybe four tops depending on the type of food being prepared, but not more. This is my first air fryer and may be my last, my thinking of these apparatuses are in-line with most gimmicks leaving one's questioning is it really necessary. In my pics I had just used it, and I wanted to show the clean-up needed.

I've actually used this quite a bit so I think my review is fair. First, this little guy is super easy to use. Put stuff in the basket, turn the knob and let it cook. Cleanup is also super easy. It says dishwasher safe but the most I've had to do with the non-stick surface is hot water and maybe the soft side of the sponge. This is basically a tiny convection oven. If you don't have a convection oven then this is really a nice way to experience the benefits. However, I have a convection oven so I am familiar with the concept. In my opinion this is not an actual fryer like what they try to say. In order for anything to cook to a "fried" result, it has to be turned up to the highest temperature setting and it has to have a lot of its own fat or oil. For example, fresh chicken wings or tater tots (really great tater tots) can be crisped up just fine. However, if you want to make fresh french fries, you will probably be disappointed even if you toss them with oil before you start. I also tried some deep fried favorites like egg rolls, breaded zucchini and mozzarella sticks but none of those worked very well at all. It makes a good re-heat unit if you don't mind waiting a lot longer, even at the highest temp, for your food to get done. I would much rather re-heat a slice of pizza in this than a microwave for example. It works great for baked foods you would normally make in an oven like stuffed potato skins, chicken breast etc. because like I said, it's just a small convection oven. The really great thing is if you would normally heat up the oven to bake chicken, you can do it in this little oven and not heat up the kitchen and it uses less energy than using the big oven. Bottom line is that I like it, but don't expect it to "fry" anything like good old fashioned oil. It's nice to have and I'm glad I got it, but if I had paid full price, it would have been packed up and taken back.

I'm kinda disappointed with this product .. to do fries it takes a out twice as long as it says and you can't do that many at one time so in the end if you have to do a few batches it will take an hour or more just to make fried. Not ideal

I like the concept, but not sure the execution is good. First thing we tried was homemade fries and it was just like baking them in the oven. Not something I need a bulky, secondary appliance for.

Pretty large appliance, but small basket for food. The fryer makes a humming noise when cooking. Like the food when done. Good for one or two people. Saves time. Food turns out crisper than when backed in the oven.

Very basic air fry. It does the job ok. After several uses, oil got stuck on the basket, can't be cleaned well. I guess it's because the non-stick layer doesn't last long, like all non stick pans and pots. I would get better quality next time. For now, it still works ok for me.

The Chefman 2.5 Analog Air Fryer is my first try at using this technology. It is simple and intuitive to use. I like saving the calories this appliance affords by not adding any oil to the item being cooked. It also cuts cooking time by one-third to one-half. After using it for over a month, it reminds me of a good quality toaster oven in many ways. I recommend serious cooks/purchasers buy an air fryer with more feature thn this basic model.

This was our first air fryer (we have since bought another brand), so we were happy with what we were able to make because it was new to us. We bought this thinking we'd use it to make homemade potato fries, but quickly found that they weren't as easy or quick as we thought they'd be--involved a lot of prep and attention, and the batches were too small. Some things heat well and some things heat unevenly, so it's a lot of trial and error. Our main issue is that the non-stick coating is peeling.

The product seems good but takes much time to prepare fried foods. That isn't exactly the kind of taste and crispness but the health is important. I might not use so frequently and eat actually fried food and do some exercise :)

Purchased 3 of these one for myself, my mother and my brother. My mother instantly fell in love with it she was cooking everything in it and telling everyone I thought she was making a a commercial for the company! The one for my brother stopped working shortly after he started using it and he contacted the company and he sent in the purchase information like they asked and he has yet to heard anything else from them he also loved it, disappointed with the service he is NOT receiving. My mom says her's is not working right.
