1:3 scale convection oven

If you want the benefits of a convection oven, but on the countertop, this is pretty much just that. A small scale full blown convection oven. Anything you can do in a standard oven, such as bake and broil to convection features like air fry. From toasting bread to baking cookies and making full meals.
The design is simple. You have an analog 60 minute timer, temperature settings, function setting and a toast timer when using toast mode. Functions included Warm, Broil, Convection Broil, Toast, Bake, Convection Bake and Air Fry. The timer and toast timer are essentially the same function, but the Toast timer displayed as darkness of toast. You have a wire rack, a broil tray and an air fry basket that helps keep your food lifted off of the broil pan, but does still need rotation when using that function. There is also a slide out crumb tray to help clean the bottom easily.
This little oven has done everything I have expected of it and provided plenty of room for even a small pizza. It would be slightly better if it had a way to provide added circulation along the bottom of the oven for added uniformity, but it at least has heating elements on the bottom that most air fryers only have on top. It would have also been better if the oven rack was designed more like the air fry basket so that it can hold smaller items providing for 2 layers of cooking products. You can see how air circulation and the rack design affect the toast though.
Overall, it has more capability than typical basket air fryers. It is huge and provides all the function of a larger convection oven, just at a smaller scale. The analog timers do leave a bit to desire as you don’t have precision and your only notification of completion is a single ding. If you have the counter space and the need for a small oven, this will do the job.

Versatile - a daily use appliance

This toaster oven takes the place of a toaster and an air fryer (I ruined my big air fryer accidentally, so this was the perfect replacement); and acts as an additional oven and broiler, not to mention warmer and convection oven.
I like that it does not take up much counter room and is so convenient for additions to our meals. A few things I've used it for; baked cookies and biscuits, broiled pepperoni & cheese snacks and air fried onion rings.
I still prefer my indoor grill for meats (hamburgers, steak) and my instant pot for some quick all-in-one meals, but this appliance definitely has a useful place in my kitchen and I use it almost daily.
I deducted one star because sometimes it seems to cook too rapidly - browning the outside before cooking the inside like on cookies and rolls. I've adjusted temperature and cooking times on a few items.
It's very easy to clean - and has a pull out crumb tray at the bottom.

A good size oven combination

A handsome looking toaster, it fits perfectly in the corner of our kitchen. With multiple functions that it has, this is a decent choice of a small size toaster/oven/air fryer combination. I tried the oven-baking feature, the air fryer and the toaster with mixed result. First of all the toaster feature. When I first tried toasting bread in the “light” option (you get light, medium, dark), the bread came out burn. Subsequently, I am getting a better result. Maybe that first one was just because the it was brand new, but I am always very cautious now when toasting bread because a neighbor who has a similar looking oven (a different brand though), mentioned that hers also running really hot. Fortunately, there is a light that you can turn on (and off) easily so you can watch your bread being toasted. As soon as you open the oven door, the heat stop — a good feature, I think, so your food is not overcooked. I also used the air fryer, first to ‘fry’ a frozen chicken nugget. This turns out to be a very good option. I have the regular size air fryer that requires a lot of cleaning afterward. With this chefman, there is a substantially less cleaning involved because of the size. You just need to place the nugget in the basket and make sure the pull out tray is in place, set up the dial to air fryer with the desired temperature and timer, and a few minutes later, the nugget comes out crispy and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended to cook chicken nugget. I also used the air fryer to cook Brussels sprout from the recipe included in the booklet. The suggested cooking time was 20 minutes, but by the 15th minutes, some already looked burned. That’s why the light feature is such a good addition to this oven. And lastly I used the baking feature to make a ready made pillsbury croissant that I filled with fruits and sausage. I’ve made this many times in our regular oven and the result is always good. This chefman oven, on the other hand, I think it’s a better option because the outside of the croissant turned out to be crispier than when I used the regular oven. I am guessing the small space distributes the heat more intensely and evenly.
You are supposed to be able to use this oven to bake a small whole chicken. That would be our next one to try. Because of the size, there is an endless opportunity that you can use this oven for.
One feature that I am missing though is a digital display. I know that seems overkill with the dial, but knowing exactly what the temperature and the timer are, is a good feature that I like on our previous oven. And our previous oven also has the pre-heating feature. This one doesn’t. The suggestion in the user guide is to allow 5 minutes time before we start the cooking process.
In conclusion, this is a good oven/air fryer/toaster combination. You might have to make some adjustment in temperature and time to make sure that your food come out as you like. And also the lack of display make you have to guess on how long you have before the cooking is done, a feature that you might need to consider when purchasing this item.

I’ll start by saying my wife has been skeptical of getting another toaster oven as our old, small toaster oven ended up relegated to the garage from lack of use. Now, not only does she love using this for everything from Sourdough bread to baking cookies, it’s now on my mother-in-law’s Christmas wish list.
It’s not small as far as counter space goes, but it makes good use of the space it takes up. I have no complaints from any of the foods I’ve cooked using most every setting. As I mentioned, my wife likes sourdough toast and normally has to flip a piece of bred over and cook it twice in a normal toaster, so this works perfectly for her avocado sourdough toast.
The first thing I tried out was frozen chicken wings using the included basket on convection bake. They came out so perfectly golden crispy and tender inside in about 17 minutes. Frozen wings are now permanently on the list as this was quick, easy and extremely delicious.
We baked a small batch of cookies, which worked perfectly with the bake setting and cleanup was easier since the included tray is smaller than a full sized baking sheet.
The broil setting made beautiful cheesy garlic toast, and the air fryer perfectly browned a batch of curly fries.
Overall, I’m very happy with how it has cooked everything, but I have a few complaints as well.
1. The dials are just bad. The timer is the same type as a traditional wind up kitchen timer. You have to turn the time past 20 minutes and back to a shorter duration if you want to cook for a shorter time.
The markers for time and temperature on the dials are ambiguous at best. I still don’t know for sure if I cooked my food at 350 or 375 when it was on the line. I’m tempted to buy an in-oven temperature gauge just so I can know for sure.
If they put just a little more effort into marking the dials and included an easier to use kitchen timer, this would absolutely be a 5 star product. It’s been a great kitchen appliance so far, and I would recommend it in its current iteration, but I’d love to see this with a digital timer and more clearly marked temperature settings.

Worked great at first but now after only 9 months of use the top heating element is broken so it doesn’t toast anything easily. Half of the elements don’t work at all and the 2 remaining have hot and cold spots.

Best Grilled Cheese Sandwich EVER !!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
After trying out some smaller circular shaped air fryers that serve a single purpose it was nice to have an incredible usable medium sized oven with slightly increased countertop footprint.
My wife is a big fan of my pan fried grilled cheese sandwiches, so I was reluctant to deviate from a tried and true recipe.
I prepped the sandwiches as per usual, butter on outside, mayonnaise, cheese, tomato and jalapeños on the inside. Took a wild guess that 4 minutes per side should be adequate, so I blindly popped them in, flipped half way, watched while the bread toasted and darkened, and voila.
Best grilled cheese I’ve made, without all the mess and cleanup. The best part is the sandwiches weren’t greasy at all, the Air Fryer Toaster Oven was able to reduce the buttery grease of pan-fried sandwiches with a golden brown crisp outside that added an entirely new dimension.
Our old Air Fryer just got demoted to a lesser used counter, while ChefMan occupies the prime space. I can see this being incredibly useful for the myriad of frozen pizzas we enjoy more than I care to admit, and without having to heat the entire kitchen with dual top stove.
I’d classify this medium size despite decent capacity incl 6-slice (3x2), as larger items like Thanksgiving Turkeys would still require conventional methods.
One mistake I made was in haste without reading the manual, I left out the drip tray, below the rack, creating a tiny cleanup for myself.
PROS
———
+ attractive countertop appeal
+ high-quality contraction and feel
+ much faster than convection oven pre-heat cycle
+ did I mention the grilled-cheese sandwiches ?
CONS
———-
-medium size means this won’t replace convection oven 100%
-a bit larger than a counter top microwave
-analog control dials prevent exact digital timer
-size might occupy more counter space than available
CONCLUSION
———————
Just as technology continues to make everything better, it has now made it’s way into the kitchen appliance market. This is a really solid performer that I am happy to recommend.

The Toaster Oven, Redefined?...Well, Maybe Not

This isn't my first toaster oven, nor is it my first air fryer, but it definitely is my first toaster oven air fryer! I was compelled to try this CHEFMAN ToastAir because it might eliminate the need to have 2 things on my counter-top by combining the toasting function with the air frying function. The good news is that it does just that, the bad news is that I'm just not sure how long it'll keep going it based on the quality of the unit.
Firstly I'd like to say that with this unit you get a nice roomy toaster oven. It toasts, it bakes, it broils and it also acts as an air fryer and it does these all really well. The oven itself preheats quickly, has a night light function so you can see the progress of whatever delicious item you may be cooking and has pretty self explanatory and easy to use knobs. Most people won't have an issue operating this little oven without ever looking at the instruction book. You'll receive a few different trays and baskets to use for different types of items you might want to cook and that's a pretty nice plus for the unit. The inside is spacious and has plenty of room for cooking small pizzas, making a bunch of chicken nuggets or air fryer enough wings for a few people. It's really convenient to be able to go from toasting to air frying without having to do anything but turn a knob.
The unit I received came a bit damaged and this concerns me as the box didn't seem to be damaged, so I'm assuming that it came from the factory this way. This damage was all cosmetic, so I'm not all that worried about it, but what does concern me is how it reflects on the durability of this item. There was a small dent on one side and it looked like someone put a scouring pad to it on another side. As an item that will heat up and cool down a lot during it's lifetime and that comes with moving parts on the inside, I worry that the cheapness of the fit and finish on the exterior may also indicate that other parts of the unit may also lack in quality. For a unit of this price I didn't expect paper thin stainless steel or plastic feeling knobs and buttons, but that's exactly what you get. The accessories that came with it are also very cheaply made and feel flimsy. Overall you don't get a sense that the product is well built when you place it on your counter. If this unit wasn't a multi-function air fryer/toaster oven, one would assume it would be at the entry level of bigger toaster ovens when it seems to be advertised to be a much more robust unit.
Overall I'd say this unit would be a good buy if you want to free up some counter space and you can catch it on sale. The function is there, but the form is just not up to par for the price being asked. Keep your expectations in check and you may really love this unit if you catch it at a good price, but there is so much competition in this market segment that I can't whole heartedly recommend the CHEFMAN ToastAir.

Nice Multi-Cooking Unit

Well packaged and a nice-looking unit.
Fairly heavy air fryer however I found the door and the racks to be light weight. Nice Air Fryer Combo multi-cook unit.
I found the times recommended, in their recipe guide, to be off a little however I find that with most Ovens and Air Fryers, etc.
I have cooked multiple foods in the CHEFMAN ToastAir 20L Air Fryer Toaster Oven and had many great meals. Again, I will say that you must watch your time and pay more attention to the internal temperature of your food and check your food often.
Cooking a steak in the house is not my idea of cooking a steak but I did cook a good ribeye, based on the recipe in the CHEFMAN Air Fryer Combo, and was surprised with the results. Following the MONTREAL STRIP STEAK recipe in the CHEFMAN recipe book the results of the cook were exceptionally good. 5 minute and turning for 5 minutes, on air fry, top rack, 450 degrees Fahrenheit and the streak was 141 internal, a little above the CHEFMAN cookbook note of 135 F but as you can see in the photo the steak is cooked evenly throughout.
With some foods I found uneven cooking however it could be the food not the cooker.
Cooked many food items in the CHEFMAN ToastAir 20L Air Fryer Toaster Oven, 7-in-1 Combo w/ Convection Bake & Broil and I am impressed. The ease of use, flexibility, and ease of clean up is impressive and nice to have in the kitchen.

Flexibility in a appliance

This is review of CHEFMAN - ToastAir 6-Slice Convention Toaster Oven + Air Fryer - Silver.
The combined options offered with this model fits to convenient and multiple purpose cooking small dishes to mid size in one appliance. Include pan, wire rack and basket.
It comes with seven preset cooking modes warm, broil, conv broil, bake, toast, cone bake, and air fry. Each can be combined with timer and temperature. Except for toast exclusively has its own timer.
Tried each of mode of cooking and it does it intend. Only remark on the Conv Broil and Broil, the preset doesn’t seem to consider the preheat time. Hence for cooking need to add additional as 5 min or so to the total cooking time based the experience.
The controls are traditional rotary knobs, with push button for light control and its indicator. Inside it feels neat and spacious and can be adjusted to tow levels at bottom and mid level.
To the core of cooking in each preset mode is very convenient except of broil and conv broil as mentioned above. For more used mode every day for Toasting for who like coffee with toasted bread every morning, just place inside and set the time in toast mode. For AirFryer cooked pork ribs and turned to be bit too dry than I like but I find it is matter of learning how to set the time and more/less sauce to find my own perfect point of flavor. Then boiled beef shish kebab and in the first attempt turned bit dry again, but in second batch with with less time and bit more of sauce able to find close to the taste I like.
Baking pizza with naan was straight forward similar to making a toast. The top gets crispy and brown and cheese well melted. Only thing, in my case of baking it, the bottom wasn’t that toasted, but probably is due to the metal foil used and needed different timer and mode.
It is quite convenient everything offered in one appliance without much to dislike. Only some minor details that seems to similar problem to any brand for same kind:
1. It is bit bulky although it might be only way to build it for 25 L capacity.
2. Pulling out when cooking is complete is bit inconvenient as grab the basket or tray may self scorch as grabbing the pan/rack/basket is inward. Hence always need to be cautious to pull out.
And what I like most apart to it cook what intend, the analog mode that I can see at once all the available options without like digital ones that need to drill down option after option to learn about all of them.
The for last, it takes bit of learning how to adjust the control for desired flavor as it is quite strong and relatively faster cooking mode. And it has vent on the rear side, if it is placed against wall it might leave mark in the wall when used heavily.
Except of minor details that depends on person to person, it is good to have on hand in busy day and still have home made meal.

The oven came double boxed, and well packed. When unpacking, and looking it over, the construction fit / finish looked good, with stainless exterior.
I really like the relatively straightforward rotary knobs that can be set for different types of cooking, time, and temperature. Can be set for bake or convection bake; broil or convection broil; air fry; toast, warm, etc.
Included is a rack, tray, and an air fry basket, and a booklet with a few recipes.
This cooks in less time than regular oven, and using the "air fry" setting provides very fast cooking. Doing some frozen foods took only about 1/2 the time called for on package.
I also really like the internal light - makes keeping an eye on the food easy.
There are 6 heating elements for different types of cooking, and the fan for convection is in the middle on top - seems to provide improved heat circulation versus a side mounted fan.
The good:
Door closes well with no gaps, tray and racks are easy to clean, handy interior light, easy to use - and set - rotary knobs, numerous settings for all kinds of cooking, and a stainless exterior should should be easy to keep clean.
It does blow some hot air out the back, and need to keep space from wall while in use. And, looking at the light, seems it will be a bit of a task to replace....
Overall, I think this is an excellent choice for convenient counter top cooking, at a reasonable price.

I purchased this multi-purpose cooking unit while waiting for a part for my convection oven. While it air fries bacon well, it’s a massive fail for baked goods.
I prepare meals for working moms and sell and ship yeast rolls all over the country. So I REALLY needed something that would work. This oven did NOT!!!
The circulating hot air caused everything from biscuits, to cornbread to cakes and homemade macaroni and cheese - everything browned way too fast.
I tried reducing the temperature. I tried regular baking and convection baking. I tried lowering the rack and removing the broiler Pan. I covered the dish with foil (though the instructions don’t suggest that). I ruined SO many baked items just trying to make this work. No matter what I did, Nothing cooked properly all the way through!
The cornbread and biscuits browned quickly on top and dried through the middle while the bottom crusts remained soggy and doughy.
The macaroni and cheese browned on top but the cheese sauce (I make a roux with flour, milk and cheese)—it did not cook throughout. I ended up cooking it in my microwave.
I tried cornbread three different times and it always dried throughout and was crunchy from top to bottom but the crust didn’t brown.
I was so disappointed with the baked goods that I didn’t even try to make toast or baked fish.
I’m glad I saved the box and packing materials because after 4 days of MESS, this bummer will be returned!

We absolutely love this Chefman Toast-Air 6 Slice Convection Toaster Oven + Air Fryer! We replaced a 4 slice toaster AND an air fryer with this (big space saver!) and couldn't be happier. We can toast 6 slices at a time, reheat foods and bake and convection bake foods. But the best part has been the air fryer. It is more efficient and easier to use than our old fryer - food is visible to check on cooking progress and it is much easier to clean.

Next day delivery, thanks Best Buy, My wife and I have been using the Chefman Toast-Air-6 for a little over a month now and love it. Cooks very fast, easy to clean, great oven light, simple operation, we use the convection oven and air fryer settings most of the time, works great, one word of caution, this thing cooks fast and you will have to experiment with temperatures, we find a little lower temp. setting works best. five and a half stars so far. I bought this to replace my 2-slice toaster cuz we’re a 6-person family, and 4 Eggo waffles for 3 school-going children needs needed more. This is very nice toaster oven. It is roomy but not too large (although it is larger than our previous 4 slice non-air fryer oven). So far I've used the toast, bake and air fry functions and all of them work as stated.
The lack of digital components doesn't bother me at all since I've had toaster ovens for years and none have been digital. These dials work so I don't mind not having paid extra for a digital readout. This was purchased as a deal of the day, however, so I don't know if I'd have paid the full price since my former regular oven was working fine.
I love having the air fry component right there, though, for small batch air frying. I do have a full size air fryer which is too large to keep on the countertop so having a smaller option readily available is really great. That and the price were the main reasons I purchased this. It's also nice to be able to fit a full box pizza in the oven and not have to turn on the large oven for something small.

Love this air-fryer toaster oven! It makes great toast; roasts perfectly and the air-fryer component it just wonderful for chicken, fish and left-over pizza. Steaks and chops cooked perfectly. I especially appreciate the internal light source. It is just the right size for an individual, couple or small family. Its footprint is less than my old toaster oven. I did find that a lot of air-fryer recipes' timing was too long. So, by reducing the cooking time by one or two minutes the air-fryer foods were spot on.
My only small quibble -- and this has been mention in other reviews -- is the the lettering around the dials is faint and looks like it would be easily smudged. I need my eyeglasses to make sure that I get the setting right. And, yes, the toaster does "click" through its cycle. It doesn't bother me but might for some others.
