**Google Chromecast Review** Google Chromecast is a simple, affordable way to turn any TV into a smart one. It’s super easy to set up—just plug it into your TV’s HDMI port and cast from your phone, tablet, or laptop. It works with tons of apps like YouTube, Netflix, and Spotify, and you can even control it with Google Assistant. Perfect for streaming without the fuss, though it lacks a remote or built-in interface.

A great 4k streaming stick at a very affordable price. Bought as a techie for someone who does not understand all the features of it, and even they are impressed by it. The user interface is fantastic and finally having an OS on a chromecast is a game changer. Setup is easy, and the device itself is very fast and usable. I like how it combines everything from all your services on the home screen for you. Can't beat it for the price!

We’re extremely happy with our Chromecast with Google TV. I originally purchased it so we could stream HBO Max. However, the picture quality of everything we usually watch, including Netflix, looks better through Chromecast for some reason. Set-up was a breeze and took only a few minutes. The remote is well designed, easy to use, intuitive and very responsive. The addition of Google assistant is a big plus if you ever have any questions.

Was looking for an alternative to the FireTV Stick because I'm already into the google home ecosystem. After seeing an excellent review from LinusTechTips I decided to pick one up. The setup was very easy, simple and done under 5 minutes. One of the best features is not having to use the includee remote for volume control as it allows you to program the included remote to do so. The remote is very simple and has everything I need on it for navigation. Now for the Google TV itself. The UI is excellent ad everything is easy to locate and navigation is a breeze. It is a little bit choppy at sometimes but I believe it is due to using wifi and not ethernet. Video playback is very snappy and seemless and the integration with the google voice assistant is fantastic. I would definitely recommend purchasing this over the FireTV.

This is the perfect streaming device. Got this for my mother to use with her older non-smart TV, and it’s made me want to get one myself. So easy to use, great simple remote w voice search, good interface with all the apps we’d want, and nice integration w Google accounts if you care about that. Best bang for your buck in the product category as far as I can tell. Very happy with my purchase.

Works exactly as described. It's connected to an HDMI 2.1 port on my LG C1 OLED and runs all apps smoothly. Although my TV gives me Dolby Atmos and Vision when supported from apps I find myself using the Chromecast more often than not especially for music services. I can run the ambient mode Google screensaver and listen to Tidal or Amazon Music HD simultaneously without the annoying LG screensaver stopping Tidal. The LG CX Oled let me do this with the art gallery and my music on my server but the Web OS 6.0 of the C1 doesn't seem to allow this, hence the use of the Chromecast. All in all it's a handy little device. I threw one on my 1080P bedroom Vizio and got rid of my second Xfinity STB. It does upscale the picture, not the best, but better than it was. Casting works perfectly and basically it uses Google Home for setup. Simple to operate, works with CEC and the remote can change inputs and control volume, has voice assistant and power. I've not had any issues with either unit losing network connections as some folks have reported. Google has updated the UI and it's fast and intuitive. For the price it's a win.

The new chromecast with TV is GREAT I just purchased it and then bought one for my father-in-law. I've used chromecasts and my phone for a few years now, and this is SO much easier. Like a smart tv or roku it takes at little time to set up channels. I watch the National championship flawlessly with it. We've it for channels my LG smart TV doesn't have like HBO Max, ESPN, STARZ, etc... I've had not problems with it.

This latest Chromecast is easily able to compete with flagship streaming devices from Apple, Amazon, and Roku. I’ve strayed away from most other Chromecast models due to the lack of a dashboard interface. But, the new Google TV interface is fantastic. The content aggregation is helpful, the menus are responsive, and the casting functions are powerful. This model also comes with Bluetooth pairing which is a plus (ex: connecting to soundbars/Nest Audio/Google Home speakers). My favorite feature is actually the remote itself. Although not as premium as the Apple TV’s Siri remote, the Chromecast’s remote feels great to use. It’s also not as easy to lose on a couch unlike Apple’s remote, due to its color and rounder design. The buttons are well laid out, and the volume rockers on the side are intuitive. I did run into some connection issues between the Chromecast and the Google Home app on my iPhone. The app would say it’s unable to connect despite my phone being on the same network. It appears connecting the device on 5ghz WiFi was the culprit. My household changed to a mesh network and the issues disappeared, but hopefully Google releases a fix (Ethernet connections are possible with an adapter from Google). There’s actually a lot of peripherals you can add to the Chromecast thanks to the USB-C port, from external storage to webcams (Google Duo can be installed from the Play Store on device). I’m glad Google went in that direction to match modern standards. It really is an affordable and premium device in the streaming market.

It's fast. The voice button works extremely well with Google Assistant. The ability to use the remote or cast from your phone is amazingly convenient. It integrates with other Google Home devices. There's not much negative to be said. It would be nice if they had a "find my remote" function similar to the "find my phone" function with the Google Home devices. The remote is small and gets lost in couch cushions easily.

I love this device. I love it more than my shield tv that cost 3x what this does. It's fast. It has a nice remote. It's unobtrusive. Picture quality is great. I'm honestly going to buy another one to replace my shield. Only con is that it does not have a native spectrum app - you have to cast from your phone or computer. Same issue with the shield and my Android based tv though so no biggie.

Useful, easy to install. I wish they had the lower tier model in stock since my monitor cannot display 4k but I paid the extra rather than waiting for the lower tier one so I could install now. It runs well, very convenient

In addition to having a Chromecast with Google TV, I have a few Firesticks which I really like. The Chromecast is very fast. Has all the must have technology inside for compatibility with future display technology. I like the interface, menu, the many setting options, and the look and feel of the remote control. It's a new product and there are some improvement still to come, so I make sure to get it up for automatic updates. I only wished the internal storage capacity was much larger or was expandable. Overall, a great product for the price and purpose.

I had the Amazon Fire Stick for several years and I must say I wish I would have bought this much sooner. This is much easier to navigate, install streaming apps and start up of streaming apps is much smoother than that of the Fire Stick. I also love the remote. Very easy to use and the the fact that it has the volume control included is a plus.

The product is a great update from the dinosaur version of chome I upgraded from. I find the app easy to use and the remote that comes with the product is also a great addition to this chome device

WOW! I love this device! Watch reviews on YouTube, and I did for research, and every accolade is true. It's fast, very intuitive, and so easy to setup. I literally only use the remote to turn on my TV, adjust its volume, and access all my content on YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and free stations like Peacock, Tubi, TED, and PBS. I'm ultra pleased with this gift I got for myself.

Works perfectly, fast set up. I use it with an older 1080p smart tv. The chromecast ui is miles better than the tv, as you can imagine, and the tv has an older wifi card that doesn't work well. Haven't tried it with a 4k tv yet, but I figured might as well have the newer version of chromecast if I upgrade tv's, although I think most new tv's have chromecast built-in nowadays.

Bought one of these just before Christmas for our living room. I loved it so much that I was gifted another by a family member at Christmas for our bedroom. This is a great addition to our home! Super fast connecting to all of the apps and streaming. Love that I am also getting the use of 4K with supported apps on my TV as well. Super user friendly. A must buy for your home!

As I transitioned from DirecTV to YouTubeTV, a regular Chromecast and Amazon Firestick weren't getting the job done. I was torn between this and Roku, but I'm so glad I went with Chromecast w/ Google TV. Great interface, easy setup, good price, and no complaints. Note: you will need to plug the powers ourselves into an outlet; using a USB port on the TV or elsewhere won't work.

This is the best streaming interface I have used. Greater control than roku and Apple. The biggest flaw is that this device has far to little storage on it. You can fill up the storage with just streaming apps easily but it is very easy to remove and add apps. Android tv has a great variety of apps in the play store. This device is plenty fast and responsive.the screen casting is unmatched.

Be sure to get the full package with REMOTE AND GOOGLE TV. I have owned every TV Interface available and this is BY FAR my favorite. Remote is compact, simple, and super user friendly. Rarely needs battery changes. Easy to use and set up. Casting from your phone is seamless. Compatible with any screen resolution, refresh rate, and bit quality.
