I did not know whether to purchase a fire stick or this chromecast but I decided to buy the chromecast instead I love the remote nice simple and I love that the fact that it uses an actual stock android operating system in its very quick compared to what my TV had to offer

Easy to setup, and works great. Turns an older hdmi tv into a smart tv. Fast and smooth interface.

New Chromecast w/ google TV is perfect! I wish this was released earlier this year, I would have purchased a different 4KTV a few months back if so. Menus are easy to navigate, apps and channels are organized and its Google's UI, which I like. Once you plug into a HDMI and power outlet you are good. If you are watching cable thru another hdmi and power on GoogeTV it automatically turns on and changes the input for you so you dont need to pick up an additional remote to turn it on. You can also sync with your remote for power and volume. I also bought an additional unit for a older non/smart TV so I have access to all the latest apps and streaming services on that one too. For $50 its a no brainer in my mind.

This is what Google should have released to compete with the Fire Stick, wayyyyy better in terms of users interface, ease of use, and finding content. Got plenty of them for Christmas presents this year.

This is an amazing streaming device! - very easy to hook up to the google home environment - very speedy and responsive I bought several more I was so impressed! Highly recommended!!!

This device has some nice upgrades from prior models. The 4K streaming works well and the interface is similar now to a Fire stick. No issues with any glitches while casting which is most important to me.

Awesome upgrade to regular Chromecast. I kept having issues streaming content with my original Chromecast that was about 4 years old. I have excellent wireless speeds (200+ Mbps) so I knew it wasn't my WiFi. Rather than drop a large sum of money on a new Apple TV 4K, I decided to give this new Chromecast a try. Immediately noticed a difference. Setup was quick and easy and I've been able to stream games through MLB.TV in HD no problem ever since. All the typical streaming options work great too - Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, YouTube TV - it's all great. Great value for the money, especially when compared to the Apple TV 4K, which is roughly 4 times the price.

The TV portion works great, it was easy to install and configure. The only minor nit I have is that I wanted some native browser support via chrome and it doesn't allow that. Not a major issue if you are using it for casting/tv though.

The product is very easy to set up. The quality of picture and audio are very good. Very good product for screen sharing from mobile to TV.

I love the app suite and voice activation on the remote. We installed this on a 15 year LCD TV and it works flawlessly.

Just purchased and set up 2 days ago. Setup was very easy. Having a remote with voice capability, and downloadable apps available through Google play store make this much improved vs older chromecasts.

You can’t beat this streamer at this price point. I have an nvidia shield and this thing is right on par with it at a fourth of the cost! Don’t forget to change the “match” source quality option.

It is the only way to watch 4k tv and have high definition audio. I love it so much! Fast, smooth transitions, and great screen savers. I use it for all streaming and playing just dance on my phone

I have been anticipating the release of this product since the early leaks. My intent was to use this to help me cut the cord from cable. I was paying $50 per month just in box rentals and DVR service. By signing up for YouTube TV, I was able to save quite a bit. I had the original Chromecast units, but having the remote that is included with this set allowed for us to finally drop traditional cable. My main concern was if my wife could navigate around, which she had no issues with. So in summary, buying three of these allowed us to drop our expensive cable. Picture and sound quality has been good. It has been easy and convenient to consolidate all of our streaming services into one place.

This is a great update from the previous generation of Chromecast that is quite easy to use. I also like the look and the remote that everyone can learn to use in minutes.

Good performance. Definitely an upgrade over by 6 year old Roke. Love the fact it comes with remote and voices search. Easy to install and integrate with other Home appliances.

The old Chromecast had quit working. This one was to replace it. Pleasantly surprised at it's great speed and with the remote. Remote a little small but effective.

I've had one of the original Chromecasts for years, and recently only used it to watch a couple apps that are not supported on my LG OLED. After getting tired of the phone controls, I purchased this new Chromecast and I wish I had done so sooner. I don't even bother using the built in TV apps anymore, the Chromecast does it all and the remote can control my TV and Sonos speakers as well. I've had the Chromecast for a couple months now and once or twice I've had to cycle the power to get it to work correctly, but it is been trouble free for the most part.

This product is excellent. It is easy to install and use and has given us great quality pictures.

This is the second Chromecast I purchased, if that tells you something. For those of us who are still hanging on to our "older" TVs and waiting to buy a smart TV, this is the product that turns that TV into a smart TV. I lost my TV remote but it doesn't matter because I replaced with the Chromecast remote, which also has a volume control. Also, because I have Google products and the Home app, the setup was awesome, didn't have to setup all of my apps to watch TV because it was done automatically (immediately logged me in to Netflix, Peacock, etc.). Finally, the picture quality with the 4k built-in to the Chromecast is a game changer.
