Performance is good but what a buggy device... Already had to reset it twice after updates (error screen) but is seemingly running fine now. Make sure to setup your volume controls for soundbars/arc separately in the advanced settings for best results! Just enough buttons on the remote for a spare TV with a few inputs. I would not recommend trying to use this as an everyday remote for an advanced Home Theatre setup.

This thing is almost the best streaming device there is. If you take the price into concideration it is the best. If price isn't an issue the Nvidia Shield is better for people with a 4K TV 55" or larger because of the AI upscaling. I saw the above as someone that has almost every device. I have an Amazon 4K Fire Stick, Roku Ultra, Chromecast Ultra, 2019 Nvidia Shield (Tube), Roku TV, and many more.

I wanted to finally ditch cable and Chromecast with Google TV has been more than I expected it to be the chromecast remote has been awesome in an easy transition away from cable.

My reasoning for buying this version of Chromecast is because our TV is an older model and perfect size for our room. The cost and features outweighed purchasing a new TV during a pandemic. I knew once we connected it to our TV my husband would not move. He has every movie subscription, social media app and all the channels in one place. It’s easy to set up especially if you’re tech savvy. Enjoy!

Really enjoying this although surprisingly there is a bit of a learning curve coming from regular android TV such as the shield. It is noticeably slower than the nvidia but that's to be expected due to the cheaper price. Only issue I have had is it does not like to be paired with wireless headphones. If they are paired it freezes while loading videos or does not play sound. Maybe its a headphone issue the wireless speaker works fine over BT. Hopefully that will be worked out at some point. Overall pretty happy with it for the price.

I brought this new one to replace my old device. I accidently put the remote for my old device in the wash and it no longer worked. After taxes and shipping a new remote was $5 less than purchasing a new device. So I opted to buy a new Chromecast. My only issue is the power cord is a little short and there is not a lot of storage available, but it was a great investment.

Love it. Super smooth and incredibly easy to set up. Hbo Max works with it. Super fast

Been waiting for a long time for Google to make an official inexpensive device that runs Android TV. This one does it well and because of the way the remote works, I don't even need my TV or sound bar remote. Perfect for my OLED in the bedroom as it does all major HDR formats and for a price that can't be beat. Way smoother than using a Fire Stick or Roku

I bought this so I could watch Spectrum cable on my Insignia Fire TV. I still can't load the Spectrum app, but I can start Spectrum on my Visible phone and then "cast" it to the TV. The phone is the n the controller. Not what I planned, but I'm glad I had the android phone and it works.

The best streamer out there. Great picture and sound. The remote is surprisingly great.

Best product ever by google. Works like a charm and converts your dumb TV to a google TV. Only down side is the remote. Wish it had extra buttons for Play/Pause/Forward/Reverse along the navigation wheel as some of the apps wouldn't recognize the navigation wheel left/right buttons as FWD/Reverse buttons.

Fast and free delivery in 2 days even when Google's warehouse was claiming at least 15 day delivery time. This product is truly a revolutionary leap in the Chromecast line. The voice-controlled remote is an absolute gamechanger. The only complaint is the quality of the remote, still has some sharp edges left due to subpar craftsmanship, a very minor inconvenience though, especially for the price point.

This is a beautifully upgraded version of the traditional Chromecast. The voice control remote help to launch all the programs and TV shows easily without going on typing old fashioned on the display keyboard. The Chromecast also now helps you to customize the apps and can be installed on it.

Very happy with my purchase. It does however make my tv staticy sometimes when I turn it on. It doesn’t happen all the time and goes away pretty quickly. I’ve noticed it did this with another tv I have it connected to as well. Love that everything is connected through one remote.

Overall the unit does as advertised, its a decently priced 4k media player and casting device. Passed that its very basic. The unit has an awkwardly small amount of apps which is surprising considering that it supports so many casting services. This is the main reason behind my lower rating. Secondly, it feels suprisingly low quality and poorly designed. The unit itself is fine but lacks ethernet support. The remote is the main disappointment. The plastic has a matte finish but scratches easy and is incredibly slippery and odd to hold, the button orientation feels awkward and uncomfortable. I wish that it had a headphone jack like the rokus to give easy private listening. Setup isnt horribly difficult for most people but I can see people who are less technologically inclined to get lost or confused easily. One thing i found very cool (at the same time lacking) is that even if you have an older TV or external audio system you are able to program the remote to control said hardware. But what im lost at is the lack of power control for the audio hardware, it only allows you to control volume. Overall the unit is nice but lacking in my opinion, i will be returning it until there is further refinement and development.

Great way to stream. Having YouTube TV is a game changer. Love the remote.

Great product. Easy to install/ connect. Only issue, Hulu ads lock up access, you need to exit hulu and restart. 4k access is great.
