It is a paradigm leap for Google as I have been using Chromcast for years and I always feel it is good but can’t compete other streaming devices for lacking many functions. This time Google has made a turning points and changed my perspective, this version is awesome snd user interface is friendly and easy to navigate. Smooth and fast browsing. I like it so far!

I have to admit I wasn’t too keen on getting another chromecast. But after purchasing this one I love it so much actually more than my Roku. The remote could be a little bit better it’s OK just a bit too slippery but the interface is very smooth and easy to work with. I just will be glad when the infinity out finally comes to chrome cast after that so Rocky I’m out.

The Chromecast w/ Google TV was plug and play out of the box. Attached it to my TV and connected it to my Android phone without any problems. Now I'm watching Disney+, Netflix, and YouTube in the comfort of my living room. It's a great device to access your favorite shows. It was a worthwhile purchase and I recommend this for others.

Bought this because the guy ironically named "Truth" that worked at the Spectrum Store said it word work with our Spectrum subscription..."Truth" lied :( ..Does not work with the Spectrum Subscription..Unless you download the app on your phone and use your phone as a remote....Other than that its great for a bedroom TV ! Wouldn't want this for primary TV though..I am not really into streaming, wasn't sure about this product but it has worked out ok....

Love this thing. I can turn on and off by tv since it's connected to my Google home. Has a ton of apps. I moved to this from a roku which I was happy with but may like this better. It's great that this comes with a remote but can also use a remote app from Google if I need to. It has tons of apps too and gives me the ability to cast my phone screen to the TV.

We are an older couple and just added our first totally WIFI supported television to our house. We needed the Chromecast to make sure that we got the channels provided by Spectrum and that we got the streaming services we subscribe to offering 4K. The Chromecast was one of the choices and it worked great. We also appreciate the Best Buy curbside pick up.

Best 4k steamer + stadia available. Just sign in with your gmail account and you're ready to roll. It also has a great single interface for accessing all your streaming services. I got it on sale but after having owned it for a few months, I am planning on picking up another to replace a Roku on a secondary TV.

    IMO better than Fire TV

I have owned Fire TV 4k stick for a long time. The sound is always way off on Fire TV. I have tried all sorts of options, but it never is in sync, not even close. If you fix it for one steaming, it messes up for another. I saw lot of good reviews and thought of trying Chromecast. Also I am an android user and have YouTube TV account, so it seemed like a natural fit. Overall I am so happy with Chromecast. The menu is simple and yet effective. The suggestions I get are very much aligned to my taste. The remote is super fast. I like the remote, although I would have liked it to be little bigger, little too small for a average user hand. All is not good with Chromecast yet, and may be future firmware release may fix some of the issues - Like for ex- even though I have updated my services I still get recommendations from services I have deselected. For ex, I do not have Disney+ and have deselected it, I still see recommendation for Disney+ movies. I guess google algorithm gives priority to your taste and recommends movies. Also sometime I see a movie listed as available on YouTube TV but when you click on it, it is available on some other streaming service. So there are some glitches that are annoying, however not enough to not own this product and recommend. It’s a keeper.

Already have 2 fire sticks, but also have a bunch of Google products so thought I would give this a shot. It links to my google account and I have a Pixel phone so easy to cast to tv. I am used to the Fire Stick UI so probably biased, but I am not impressed with UI on this so far, maybe there are ways to customize but I don't like having to click all over the place to get back to an app I use alot. I do like the set up and the ability to control TV.

I just purchased one a few days ago and now I'm going to get another because it does everything that my Amazon fire stick and my Roku does only better. For example, I purchased two Firesticks just so I could play all my digital movies and TV shows I have on my WD Cloud Drive (NAS drive) because it was the only thing I knew of at the time that would display the subtitles and CC on them using the VLC app. Well I found out quickly that there were lots of flaws to the app that was irritating the heck out of me. Like if you played a title that started with any letter, say a "B" (I look at the drive displayed as folders) as soon as you hit stop, it would suddenly show that title in the letter "O" spot instead of "B". Not only that but would also change the title to seemingly random characters/letters/numbers (didn't actually change the file name, only the listing in it's own display). Well the Chromecast with Google TV, VLC app, didn't do this at all. On top of that, I have all the other stuff/apps and more, that the other 2 had as well. I will be hooking a wireless keyboard and mouse up to it in a few days. I'm sold it's just the best of all of them combined and more.

I love this streamer. I've had everything out there, recently tried the Tivo device (3 times, all horrible) since I have Tivo throughout the house. I get HBO Max with my cell plan but it wouldn't run on Tivo. This device has every service I need and keeps it all in one place. It's a little slow to connect when switching over to it but overall I'm happy with it.

Me and my wife love the Chromecast. We bought it for our main TV and we loved that we can have both of our accounts on the same Chromecast. And the control it comes with was definitely a plus.

Very functional and useful streaming device. Simple yet very intuitive remote. Only issue is that after setting it up to control TV for video content and AV receiver for audio content, it's been hit & miss whether both TV and receiver remote's turn on when I push power button on the remote. I tried exact same set up with an Amazon Fire Stick & it works flawlessly with TV & receiver. So, great device if you don't need to also control audio through an AV receiver.

Best streaming option available IMO. Took a star away for always showing streaming options I don't have (even after deselecting some in settings). Almost feels like ads and causes a few more button clicks to navigate. The 2 best things are showing everything (and more unfortunately) in one area / searches all apps and that you can download Kodi. I've been able to keep up with sports, shows, and PPV with the Xanax repository. Youtube "Kodi xanax" if you're interested...

This product is nice for portability and remote if just using installed apps. Autosetup failed 5 times before i gave up and did manually. Buggy with BT headphones could not get it to connect after pairing tried 5 times, opencoms, never had issue connecting these to anything. Boseflex connected fine so did keyboard. Ineternet drop many times when trying to cast my screen from zfold3, the casting would constantly drop. Googlehome would show it as off even thow it was on. Never had issues with this on original chromecast. Casting apps from phone slow and glitchy. Not sure if new update has a bugs, but this is simply toomany bugs at once. If not casting from phone or using BT headphones it will prob be fine for most. Very portable stable with built in apps and nice remote. But very lacking and buggy with extended functions. Will be returning. I think i may just shell out the money for Shield TV not as portable but works flawlessy.
