Really Bright and Flexible

I’ve been interested in getting a light like this for my office for some time. I have been using it now for a few days and am very happy with how bright it is and how it makes the room that I spend nine or ten hours in per day more comfortable.
Maybe I’m just willing it to be beneficially mentally but I truly believe it has helped to improve my overall mood during the day. I’ll start out with the brightest setting in the morning and go to the medium setting at midday and finally the lowest brightness level as I start to wind down. I think that pattern has helped me feel better throughout the day. You’re not getting a tan as this isn’t throwing UV rays at you but it does mimic the brightness you can only get by being outside. I always feel better after I’ve spent some time outside either being active or just hanging out on my patio. There is just something about natural light that can lift your spirit and help to put you in a better place. I’ll take whatever I can get!
The construction of the lamp is sturdy and I like that you can hang it on a wall if you choose or just stand it up on your desk. The light itself swivels in its base so that it can shine up, outward or down depending on how you prefer. It can be slightly top heavy so you have to adjust it so that it doesn’t tip but that is minimal and won’t cause you any issues. As I stated above, there are three brightness settings and you will find the one that fits you best.
I don’t think you can go wrong with this light. I’m going to get one for my teenage daughter next to see if it helps her mood!

I use this light in my craft room, especially for sewing! If you are a Senior sewist, and can't see that well with the sewing machine light, this light is for you! I can see what I'm doing sooo much better with this light! It is not harsh, but very much like daylight. It is small and compact so that you can move it in close to your projects. The base can be twisted so that it can be used at an angle. Highly recommend!

Hey, This Actually Works!

I should say upfront that I received the "Circadian Optics - Lumos Light Therapy Lamp" for purposes of providing an honest and unbiased review. As part of the review I agreed to use the lamp for a week and share my experience after using the lamp for that period. And you know what, this actually works. I say that somewhat surprised as I have reviewed a few devices that proved to simply be gimmicks, but this works. I'm planning on picking up a few more because mine is now on my wife's desk. She loves it, too. She's admitted that it's helped her feel more alert and energetic in the mornings.
Whether you are working from home or are still working in an office settings, the Lumos is a small light therapy box that can easily fit on most any desk. The ability to swivel and position the lamp make it incredibly versatile.
If I had a nitpick, it would be the brick AC adapter takes up a fair amount of space on a surge or outlet. But, that's really my only complaint. The lamp cable is long. The three lighting options work well.
I think this is an excellent lamp and highly recommend it.

Good Light for therapy and room lighting

The Circadian Optics light is a nice light that will brighten any room. It’s suggested to use it daily for brief periods, but not all day as your main reading light. I own similar lights that can yield similar results, but they don’t get as bright as the Circadian light. It would be nice if it offered other shades of lightning, but the one shade it offers it does well. You can also adjust the brightness. The top folds down when not in use, but it does not close flush. It leaves a noticeable gap. So far it’s a good light that I use in a room in our basement that has no windows.

This is not your traditional desk lamp, but because of its design, I wish it was. This light to meant to simulate daylight for use during the day. They say it helps you focus and energizes your brain. The downside is that you should not use the light 4 hours prior to bedtime as it could keep you up.
It does do a somewhat good job of improving focus, thought i didn't find myself to be particularly more energized than usual. It also offers terrific backlighting for video calls. I love how flexible it is, the light can be turned 360 degrees which is really handy.
Whether it would really keep me up night, i'm not sure and I wasn't willing to try, but that's what they say. I wish I could use it at night though, it's a terrific device.

I have a hard time staying asleep so I am always on the lookout for any help. I got this lamp and set it up in my kitchen as I spend 10-15 minutes in my kitchen first thing every morning. I have noticed no changed in my mood or internal clock. I am wondering if this will be more effective in the winter when the day light is shorter- I mean it is now June and SAD is not in play. In the mean time I have a really nice adjustable bright lamp.

Our bodies are supposed to get out in the daylight so that our “circadian rhythm” remains in sync. This lamp is supposed to mimic that daylight for those times when we don’t have access to daylight. I would guess a lot of us were lacking that during the long periods during which we remained inside our homes during the “pandemic”.
This model lamp is the slimmest of Circadian Optic’s light therapy line and with multiple hinges, it is adjustable in any number of ways to put the light right where you need it. This lamp has 3 brightness settings and is extremely bright in the highest setting. It also has medium and low settings, both of those also being quite bright! Though this lamp is bright, it doesn’t cast very far no matter what angle I set it at. So for me, this doesn’t give enough room light to do things. Another problem I had, due to the brightness, this lamp gives me quite a headache. You’re not supposed to look directly at the light, and I didn’t, yet it affected me negatively. I have always been very sensitive to bright light. I know everything doesn’t work for everybody, so this might work for you. It is certainly worth a try.

The Circadian Optics - Lumos Light Therapy Lamp is a great, affordable way to really brighten up your day in more ways than one. Working a 9 to 5 desk job indoors for many years now has had a significant impact on my health and happiness although I didn’t realize the full extent of it until I started using this lamp.
I never really thought about it before but it is clear to me now how biologically, our bodies and mind really do depend on sunlight to operate at our best. Using this lamp daily while I’m at work has made me feel more energized and alert during the day and I can honestly say that I feel happier. I am sure many people’s work environments are similar to mine and I highly suggest these people invest in themselves and purchase this Circadian Optics - Lumos Light Therapy Lamp.

BRIGHT LIGHT!

I purchased the Circadian Optics Lumos Light Therapy Lamp that sits on a table. Its an attractive table lamp that sits about 16" high, with the "light bulb" arm reaching out and extending about 12" beyond the base, with the light pointing down.
It's a nice lamp. It has 3 brightness settings, which helps, because I find that the lowest setting is best for me but I need to turn off after only 30 minutes because it does start bothering my eyes a bit ... as noted in their "warnings" booklet that came with the lamp. I have it next to my desktop computer because my office space is a bit dark and I thought this might be a nice addition to get more natural lighting. The "light arm" is about 24" away from my face, as directed by the booklet.
Long term, I don't know if I'll use every day, but it's within easy reach to flip it on. It looks nice on my desk and takes very little space.
Nice product.... but only purchase if you need light therapy in your workspace.

We use this in my daughter's room. Her room is naturally very dark and she would get exhausted during online school. I noticed a huge difference after she started using this during school!!

I've used this for about two weeks and didn't expect it to make much of a difference, then the weather got rainy and consistently dark. I found the quality of light from this lamp far better than what I usually use at my nightstand or desk. I also think, over time, that it has indeed improved the time it takes me to wake up. Of course, I'm not sure if it's only because I EXPECTED it to...but at the end of the day, my mornings have seemed better since using this lamp. It appears to do what it's built to do!

Working night shift, 6 pm to 6 am, my Circadian rhythm is not ideal and mornings start at 2 pm. Turning this lamp on and flooding the room with daylight-bright light definitely helps kick-start my day. Time will tell if there are significant benefits. This light is slim and sturdy and fits nicely on a desk, providing ample light for all needs.
