This game is a masterpiece. It's how turn based should have progressed to years ago. These guys made a fantastic story with phenomenal acting and some of the best turn based gameplay ever. If you like this type of gameplay then you need to get it.

Truly one of the best rpg experiences in a long time. While being turn based you are never truly waiting on enemies turns to finish you dodge,parry and many other things. The soundtrack is breathtaking the story is so unexpected. It took me 65 hours to beat fully. Highly recommend.

Turn-based RPG that still lets you feel the action of combat. Fascinating setting that mixes wonderfully its dark, mysterious core with the ephemeral beauty of world. The decidedly French spin on everything really makes it stand out in a field inundated with Japanese games. Recommend for all who love RPGs.

I'm about 2/3 of the way through thr games main story and clair obscure is easily one of the best turn based rpgs ive ever played. It tells a story that reallt tugs at the heartstrings, great and believable characters, and a shockingly addictive combat system. Would absolutely recommend for any turn based fan!

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 hits every note you'd want out of a high budget RPG, while avoiding the bloat and confusion that often accompanies large projects. From the heartbreaking prologue to the amazing and varied music, this is the fully realized journey we've wanted since the PS1 RPG days.

This game was phenomenal and is a must buy for rpg lovers. The story was a little predictable but had many surprises i didnt expect. I say buy this game and just enjoy it. Its very much worth the buy.

One of the best turn based rpg ever. The dodge & parry is so satisfying when performed properly. Amazing story. This game will go down as one of the best, alongside Chronotrigger, FF7, Secret of Mana, etc. Do not sleep on this game. It's a triumph.

This is hands down one of the best RPGs you can play. A god amongst gods. Not to mention a very low price point for such a work art.

One of the best gaming experiences I've had in quite some time. From the unique world, the soundtrack and the interactive turn-based combat...it's all very well done!! The developers poured a lot of passion into this project and it shows. I can't recommend it enough.

Fantastic game. When AAA games are hitting nosebleed $80 launches while broken, once in awhile you get a small dev team who knocks it out of the park with a $50 game on launch.

game is amazing get a copy before its all gone, while not a triple aaa game it really is good enough to pass for one, wonderful graphics, great game play might have to get used to it because its a bit different but really good like dark souls parrying with the option to dodge

Solid game. Can't say anything the metacritic reviews haven't already. Glad I went with my gut and preordered. I got notice that it missed cut off for the carrier to get it to me by release day, but the delivery service was still able to get it to me that evening.

11/10 Game and it should easily win GotY. If you are a fan of story intensive RPG games and are looking to get lost in a fantastical world this game is for you. I think gamers should experience this game in some fashion as the quality is just there.

Meant to write this review sooner: The game is good. The delivery was terrible. OnTrac is a horrible delivery service that has messed up in some way at least half the time when retailers have sent stuff to me via them. They almost sent it back to Best Buy because of their incompetence.

I called ahead to confirm my pre-order’s delivery date, and the person I spoke with was super helpful. The game itself is a work of art—definitely my GOTY so far. I’m very happy with both the purchase and the service from Best Buy. I’ll shop here again!
