Honestly for the price and whats currently available. This device is a great choice. Legion go 2 is beautiful but its not worth the extra almost 500 bucks just to get slightly better performance. Feels solid havent had any issues yet other than some factory settings for deadzone but easily fixable through settings

This device has truly blown away my expextations. It was released earliee this year and is still the best all around handheld to date. I've had them all and tested them all and none come close to this device at low TDP and battery efficiency. When on the go you want a device that can play anything without draining the battery an this is the device to get. I have tested the XAX, the Legion Go 2 and in terms of performace this gets you the best performance overall bar none. The screen on the LeGo 2 is gorgeous but, in order to play demanding games you need to increase that TDP which drains the battery you wont have that issue on the Claw 8 AI. It will take a bit of time to set up and get ready but, this device is amazing. Great, handheld MSI I hope the next version sticks to the script!

EXCELLENT. I had an ROG ally xbox, what a disappointment that was... wow. But this MSI claw is incredible. Here is why its better: 1. bigger better screen 2. hall effect joysticks 3. superior speakers 4. runs cooler and quieter 5. dual usb4 ports 6. more efficient cpu The intel lunar lake APU is more efficient than the AMD Z2E in the ally. it runs at higher FPS at equivalen battery drain. Meaning you can get much better battery on the lunar lake for the same performance as the ally. Skip the asus nonsense, get this. oh, and msi has incredible warranty

I travel a lot for work, and so ive had the trust Asus Rog Ally Z1E since launch. I only use the handheld when im on the road, so it met my gaming needs for the most part. However, it began to struggle with some of the new releases, even when changing resolution to 720p. At that point, I would rather not even play it anyways. I recently upgraded to the MSI claw. I was on the fence between the Legion Go 2, and this device. Luckily, my preorder was pushed back into December, making my decision even easier. I couldnt be happier. The 8" screen is a huge upgrade from the Ally. It offers great visuals in comparison as well. The VRR does wonders too. This thing can play anything i throw at it, without much compromise. I can play every game at 1200p, with medium to high settings, depending on the game. The battery life is also fantastic. I use to struggle to play demanding games on Asus, with just the battery, but the MSI easily doubles the playtime from my experience. Yes, the MSI software isnt as strong as the Asus, but it gets the job done. I saw people complaining a lot about it online, with them all sounding frustrated, but that just hasnt been the case for me. Ive traveled a lot recently, and it really passes the time on airplanes, and at hotels. Its the perfect handheld and I couldnt be happier.

Wow is all i can say. Ive owned multiple handhelds and this is by far my favorite device. Intel graphics driver updates cobtinue to make this better than any AMD apu product and it just provides an excellent, carefree. Immersive gaming experience whenever i play it. The screen is fabulous and draws me into immersive play, the speakers are the best i have heard on any handheld. The comfort and stick/button layout are super easy to get used to and just feel natural. Battery life and silent fans are great. I put xbox full screen experience on this and it takes less than 60 seconds to turn on anf jump into a game once all the shaders are downloaded ghe first launch after a driver update. I find myself wanting to llay this instead of my Legion Go 2 because of the total immersice experience ofbthe screen, sound, and comfort combination. I also have a legion go s z1e steamos edition which is also very confortable and great performance so between this device and the Lego S i can choose windows or steamos and have a great experience with both. I will be returbibg my Legikn Go 2 after realizing how great this device is and the msi screen does not leave me longing for the beautiful OLED on the Lego2. Some people complain about MSI Center M lagginess, but making the proper adjustments to microsoft power settings completely solves this issue. No complaints from me here!

I had this for a month now and love it. Plays any games you can throw at it and at high setting.Update it and you will be fine. had every handheld this is the best.

It is an excellent product. The only issue is that it’s a little heavy.

It looks nice but it kept kicking me out of the games, i returned and went back to my ps portal
