Handy, but
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This has been a handy tool. I got mine a few years ago at an Apple store. The remote is the best part. You can position your phone/camera and shoot without any movement. The stick attaches securely to my old analog tripod. Unfortunately the little tripod that comes with the stick is very flimsy and broke right away. So the only way to use it is to hold the stick or find a way to mount it.

Selfie Stick that's not quite PrimeTime

This selfie stick looks great, but it cannot go from horizontal to vertical. So when you attach this to a tripod stand, you're stuck with one frame orientation. If you're trying to do this while holding the stick, your arms get tired trying to frame a vertical shot. Try it--it's not easy and it's very limiting. Too bad. Also, the remote button gets lost easily, and the battery cover slips off (I put a bandage on mine to keep it on). Would I buy this again--not until they improve it.
