Conveniently cheap for a DVD. The price was worth it.

It took two viewings to catch all the changes in personae reincarnated in this rather slow moving film. Stick with it, suspend your disbelief, and it will eventually give you something to think about. Good, but I think other films and actors deserved Oscars that year.

Cloud Atlas requires the viewer to keep track of multiple characters (played by the same actors) over several timelines, while trying to discern the over-arcing plot amidst several smaller stories. Personally, I love movies like this. The audio and video quality of this blu-ray were superb, as well.

I feel like Halle Berry pics movie roles that I don't really fit her I'm not sure why I feel this way but sometimes she's just not believable certain roles I think because of your beauty but I did enjoy her Boomarang if you have a few that movie go watch it it's great romantic comedy.

I wanted to see this in theaters when it first came out but didn't have the chance. The movie has a great premise, that souls can be shared across many different time periods. Great acting, nice set pieces. But it jumps around a lot and may confuse those with short attention spans

This is a movie that you should pay attention to. I got caught doing something else along with the movie and ended up starting it over to make sure I knew what was going on. It was watchable, but I should rented it or something instead of buying it. I'm not sure what I was really expecting.

OK perhaps you may have to watch twice to just tie it all together. Great cinematography with some of the best actors. You have to pay attention to the details though or you may get lost. Not a bad thing, but just soo much to it and they make it worth watching more than once.

Cloud Atlas is the kind of movie that makes friends & family wary because everyone has heard at least something about it, but they're always glad after you convince them to watch it. Glad to find this in the discount bin to lend out to people.

I was fascinated by the actors playing multiple characters in different time periods. I bought the DVD so I could fast forward and go back to certain scenes. I actually missed quite a bit by not being able to do that the first time I was watching the movie.

All thought the story is a little confusing with several actors in multiple parts converting may stories from different time periods finally makes sense at the end. The blue ray copy is much better than of old DVD of the same picture

I normally love to rip on movies. I loathe 'writers' of the day - I find them uninspired idiots. This movie, however, is truly incredible. Each actor turns in stellar performances. (Yes, plural.) The message of the movie is equally amazing. You can watch this one over & over & always find something new to 'take home'. Do your soul a favor & buy it. BTW - I ALWAYS check Target, Amazon, eBay, Best Buy & Walmart for the best deal... guess who I bought this from? (I'm also on here as LUV DISNEY AT TIMES)

A visually attractive film with major actors doing an impressive job of playing different characters in different time periods. I felt that the storylines could have been shown in larger continuous segments to get a better feel of the emotions of each character in each setting. As it was, this movie would shift from time period to time period sometimes showing as little as a single line of dialogue before going to the next era. The moral of the story is that each person can have an impact that effects other people and other times. Whether this is karmic, or fate, or reincarnation; that the viewer can decide. Ultimately, it is a simple truth and it should not have taken a painful (almost 3 hour) journey to get there.

This was advertised as coming with the digital copy. It did not come with that, you get the bluray and that's it. I called customer service, they said they were going to mail another one; STILL did not come with the digital copy. I am pretty sure after looking at other websites that this does not come with digital copy. I do not know why you are advertising it as such. As far as the movie goes, I love a bit of mystery in movies along with a ton of action. This goes beyond that and more. Characters were well developed and completely into their roles. Love the time hopping aspect of it as well. Well made scifi movie.

Loved it. I need to watch it again to pick up on all the parts I missed the first time, and also the parts the actors played (I'm not saying anymore so as not to spoil it for others). The multiple eras in which the stories take place keeps you riveted!

I had heard this flick stunk up the theaters, but was happily surprised at the fine acting, twists in plot, the meld of characters between the timelines, but most of all the underlining message Great movie to watch with loved ones

interesting concept movie. multi-parts for main actors very cleaver. the "future" dialogue was somewhat hard to follow. oriental actress as southern belle was a stretch. I wish they would give more extras on concept, making of, actors comments.

After being mesmerized reading the novel, Cloud Atlas, I continued to be drawn in by the film. I would recommend reading the book first as the story line is complicated, and I can't imagine following the movie plot without prior knowledge.

Some people love this movie, some hate it and others just don't understand it but being a fan of the book I loved this movie and how the storylines and characters came together. I would highly recommend this film to everyone.
