This movie is not for everyone since there is a lot going on requiring your undivided attention. This is mostly due to the constant changing of time period. If you like fantasy/Sci fi then this is probably a must watch, the movie as a whole is a great mix of drama, action, and mystery. The visuals are fantastic, the cast is phenomenal, and the musical score compliments everything really well.

The story changes so often it makes it difficult to always know what's going on. The scenes and backgrounds are exceptional though and the actors do a great jon with their many roles.

This movie was about 3 hours long. It was very involved and jumped back and forth in time frequently. Definitely a movie that required thought and attention.

This is a good movie with great cast and stunning visuals. I t purpose is to entertain you and provide an escape vehicle for a specific time-frame . that purpose it delivers.

If you like multiple story lines this one is a good buy. I won't tell everything and play spoiler, but you have to watch the movie to get everything it tells.

This movie is a unique mix of what appear to be disconnected stories, each one interesting and intriguing alone. This film asks for a bit more attention and effort on the part of the viewer than your average sci-fi run amuck with too much action, no character depth and pretty special effects. More than a glittering, shiny object, Cloud Atlas rewards those who can work with non-linear story-telling. Nicely done blu-ray!

I love a movie with sequences that take you from one time and place to another, but this one never really connected. Love the actors in the movie. Have been a big fan of each of them. Guess that's why I really never thought twice about loving the movie..till I watched it. It's not horrible but it never resonates. You really walk away from it unaffected and I was hoping to be laying in bed that night thinking about what I just watched. Instead I was thinking I should have redboxed it and saved myself over $20!

It wasnt what i was expecting, but still had some great action. The plot was hard to depict because it was all over the place until the end. Great ending!

In these times of short, fast satisfaction comes a movie that is clever, exceptional adaptation of an amazing novel. Too bad it was not a block buster in the movie theaters but hope it will be one on DVD once word of mouth spreads. The actors in this movie, including Tom Hanks and Halle Berry, change roles as the script requires in masterful ways, as well as other well known stars that are also part of the cast. Cinematography , music all good. It's a long movie that you don't want to end.

This is one of those movies that looks fantastic on blu ray. The quality of this film on looks alone is great. The movie itself is hard to follow though.

My wife loved this movie and was happy when I picked it up for a great price. I've not watched any of them, but there was an extensive list of bonus content.

I'm kinda disappointed in this movie -- Every Tom Hanks movie I've seen, I've really liked -- except for DaVinci code and its sequels which had ridiculous plots, but I was still at least entertained. You have to really pay attention to this movie for it to make sense, but it's hard to when it's so boring... and LONG!

I had never seen this movie until I was lucky to find it in Best Buy, and boy, I was luckily surprised! This film is so good, everybody has to check it out at least once. Even though it's close to 3 hours, it feels like it passes by quickly. Picture quality is great and the soundtrack is amazing. The extras are nice to see what the actor's thought, though there aren't that many. Highly recommend!

Great acting, but it proved again that making a movie from a complicated novel is not easy. Good for philosophy students!

I've been too busy to watch several of my recent movie purchases, so I ran this briefly for this review. Yeah, I'm going to really enjoy this flick. It's obviously well-made, and like the reviews I've read suggest, a very thoughtful movie. The disk was recognized easily in my B-R/DVD burner/player and picked up OK by my Cyberlink software. This hasn't been true for a large number of my other B-R/DVD purchases, so this is looking good.

Certainly an entertaining movie. Nice interwoven plot themes. Good acting performances from top-notch Hollywood stars who played multiple characters. The only downside is that it was filled with leftist talking-point propaganda interwoven within the storyline (so typical of Hollywood these days). The confusing part is that the conclusion of the movie was a perfect argument against their single-party, totalitarian dreams.

This movie while not gaining the attention it deserves, offers the viewer a concept of time and history in a stunning, unforgettable manner

The movie was good. The actors were fantastic. I would recommend to a friend but the movie also had depth that may be had to understand for some.

The movie was just ok. I enjoy fiction movies so I did like it. but it's not great. Worth a watch if you buy on sale.

Tom Hanks and Halle Berry? It's a no brainer that this movie needs to be seen. Interesting premise and lots to think about here.
