I prefer to write reviews after I have used the product for a while....I love having a dash cam front and back....This one has taken my abuse....Despite that I ride alone, I do move stuff in and out and the wiring has tolerated a lot of movement and activity around it....I turned off the alarm cuz it just gave me fatigue.....The one design flaw is that the rim around the lens is just a little too short to protect the center of the lens from scuffing when it inevitably turns lens-side down....I try to be careful not to let it land face down like that, but only after I got a cloudy spot in the middle from random scuffing.....If the rim was just a tad bit deeper, it would prevent that from happening.....So be careful when you set it down while unloading media.....

I like the fact that it has two cameras. I like that it has loop recording, impact detection, temperature protection and included Sd card (16gb). I don’t like that it doesn’t have night vision. Very basic requirement for dash cam. Even 50 dollar dash cams have night vision at 720p res. For 200 dollars without night vision it’s going back to the store. Set up was extremely simple. It also includes plenty of wire to make the rear camera work. All in all if you drive during the day it’s great. If you drive at night don’t bother as its useless.

This is our second dashcam from cobra, the other we had was a previous model but stopped working a few months in. Then we got this one for our other vehicle. Built quality seems better and more sturdy. Front and back cams were easy to install and plugged. There was quite alot of cable, i installed on our hatchback but with the extra cable that i had to hide, i think it could easily be connected to a full size sedan without any issue. I do however wish to have this installed hardwired so it does not take up a USB port on the vehicle and just overall will make the car look cleaner

The camera does what it advertised--front & rear recording. However, I really wanted one for the benefit of protecting myself (which I explained to the Best Buy floor guy) and that would be more of a top dash cam. This item is costly and if you are going to have someone else install it, you'll need some additional items. Be prepared to download the manual because it does not come with the product. It is still useful for insurance purposes if I was involved in an accident. Also, it continues to record when the car is turned off.

This camera gives you the ability to have proof of what happens in front and in back of your vehicle. When people get too close and see the camera in the back window, they tend to stay off my bumper since I have the proof. I like the price, build and functions of this camera. Highly reccomended!

It does the job. Small and nice design. Not so good at night

This dash cam has great video quality and cable for the rear camera was able to reach the whole length of my extended SUV.

The is fully featured and very easy to use. Its innovative flexible mounting system allows for discreet installation of the rear camera on the windscreen facing out, or even the front windscreen looking in. The cameras ability to record both front and rear-facing video offers double the protection on everyday drivers. The rear camera can be changed so both cameras are facing out of the front of the vehicle covering multiple angles if required.

I was dubious that installation would be as easy as the instructions claimed. (they promised total plug and play.) But it was. I literally stuck the cameras on the windows, laid out the cords, plugged everything in and started driving. After a short trip around my neighborhood I had high quality videos of my trip. I have no idea if it will be reliable long-term, but after one day I'm definitely a fan!

The images are good and installation relatively easy. You need to secure jacks well as time and vibration cause errors.

Had to be replaced twice again does not hold up well in the heat the whole plastic parts of the camera thankfully I I had kept purchasing the warranty & might have to be replaced again but this one is lasted longer than the other ones

I’ve had the front cam only version but you could be rear-ended as well! This terrific camera covers both and is user friendly....bought one for my Friend

Easy to install and operate. Great views from both front dash and rear facing cabin cameras. Protect yourself from riders if you give rideshares.

Great video quality but the Y cord is a pain to work with. I cannot recommend to anyone looking for clean install

The product isn't terrible but it clearly is not made by people that thought it out much. The video quality is not terrible, although it is not good at night. My issues tend to be with the software and the lack of real functionality. I was really looking forward to use the api but the is absolutely none. All around I give it a 2/10.

This camera provides a safety net in that it records others driving behavior. Video proof will outweigh eye witnesses.

The memory card is only 16mb. Way too small for a dual camera. The installer told us we could put a more capacity card in. The camera wouldn’t work. We emailed Cobra a month ago, still haven’t heard from them.

Excellent camera. I’m always on the road, so it’s very important for me to be monitoring when I drive.

After installing the front and back cams and driving for a few weeks I decided to look at the recordings. There was 1 from the first day, another from a few days after installation and 4 from the day before. So I updated the firmware from Cobra's website hoping this would fix it, and it may have, but I can't be sure because now the unit is constantly giving me a message that the back camera is connecting and disconnecting. The connections are solid between the cables so if it is a short, it is within one of the cables. However since it started happening immediately after the firmware upgrade I'm inclined to believe it is a matter of flawed firmware (which was to replace the previously installed firmware, also flawed) This is one of the pricier dashcams and coming from Cobra I expected more. The lane departure feature goes off randomly as does the collision warning. Both are completely useless. I'm returning this. Don't buy it.
