Bought this for my son so that we can talk before going to bed. Definitely has good range and no real static. It is a little hard to use for the younger crowd, my son is 3, but believe this is a great product for the price.

My wife and I used these walkie talkies on our drive from Illinois to Oregon. We didn't have any reception issues, but the batteries drained really fast! We had to replace the batteries in each one at least once a day. The batteries only lasted about 10 hours of continuous use.

I bought these because it was less expensive than installing an intercom system in my house. Now my wife and I aren't yelling from one end of the house to the other.
