Good radar for the price. Detects from quit a distance and doesn't give false alarms like my old passport would. Only thing I wish it had was the plug in cord have the mute button on it lIke my old escort

Seems to work great and is an affordable price you can't beat it.The cord it comes with is short and the mount is useless,so be sure to buy the straight cord and a new windshield or dash mount.

Works great but you will get false alerts from cars with collision avoidence systems like the Audi and BMW

Went on a trip from Texas to Florida in a rent car and left my trusted radar detector in my car. Stopped at a BestBuy in Shreveport and grabbed this detector for the rest of the trip. The detector power cord barely reached from the windshield to the lighter plug with the ultra short curly cord. The detector overall picked up the expected speed traps along the way, however it gave us several scares with false alarms... mostly for trains. It paid for itself on the return trip through LA with an early warning of a speed trap ahead with troopers using momentary Ka. We slowed and passed with a sigh of relief. Generally a good detector. Loud enough to hear over the radio and road noise. Took a little getting used to alert tones, but only because familiarity with another brand detector. Not sure what the train warning was in the middle of a highway, but oh well. I'd recommend this to a friend as a low cost solution. And I would also recommend buying the optional straight power cord. The curly-q thing is annoying and really short!

It works fine for my needs. The only thing I don't understand is when It says a train is nearby and I am no where near any tracks.

This thing has saved me several times, only issue I have is the suction cups in the hot fl weather they tend to always fall off. But overall this thing is awesome!

I for one don't care to have buyers remorse so I try to research the product that I'm purchasing and see the pros and cons of that item. After reading the many reviews that are available for the vast radar detectors that can be purchased, I felt like this Cobra was the best bang for the buck. I have been pleased with this product and would recommend it without hesitation.

Digital text is easy to read, loud enough to hear over my speakers. This cobra has saved me from several tickets already!

Love my new radar detector! It works so much better than my 10 yr old one.. This one does not seem to have as many false alarms. If it goes off there is usually a cop or emergency vehicle somewhere close by..

Why would anyone want to pay such exorbitant prices on detectors when you can buy this model for under $50 and know you have great protection? Excellent range, even in a mountainous area like I live in.

Easy to operate and very user friendly. A lot of false alarms and train signals keeps it from 5star but it works great and has saved me several times already.

I Drive over 100 miles to work and it has saved me a few times. Detects all range of radar plus trains and emergency vehicles.

Easy to setup, easy to understand. Uses voice and actual text to tell what type of radar or laser is pointed at you. My only problem and the reason I subtracted a star is I cannot get the intellamute to work at all. It always says it failed. No idea why.

This a great radar. It does what it claims it will. Nothing more so just don't expect it to pick up police from 10 miles away.

This Cobra radar detection system is a great value for the price paid. The features of the product are useful and the operation of the product is good, as well.

Has definitely warned me of police in the area, but it also alerts me to approaching trains all the time, even when there aren't any train tracks nearby. Very annoying!

This detector does it all and detects the radar well before you are close.

I have bought this brand before and I have no regrets. It has saved me many times. This one was for my sister. She loves it too.

This radar was bought for my husband who travels a lot. This is by far a great product and really gets the job done. Recommend this to anyone

The text display on this one really comes in hardly. It seems like this model is more sensitive then model 5300.
