hmm for the price it seemd nice ,,,but for the hometheater not so good .. no source button on dvd/home theater receiver,,,,dvd is not the best quality ,,kind of like watching a vhs movie on dvd,,,,poor,,,,,,,when unit is turned off and turned on,,,it defaults to the dvd player mode and can only be accessed by controller,,if you break the controller ,,,your screwed,,,volume shoots up to the maximun all the time,,,,,price is reasonable if your looking for something that looks nice and like a challenge; always adjusting the settings before IT PLAYS IN FULL VOLUME,(YEAH RIGHT!!) ,,,,but funCtionally,,no bueno,,WHAT THIS UNIT IS,, IS ALL BELLS AND WHISTLES ON PAPER AND SPECS,,,,,,BUT A LET DOWN OVER ALL PERFORMANCE,,,,SORRY COBY,,,BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME,,,

Cant hear it until its turned up at least half way, short speaker wires for rear speakers, remote is bad, can not read what the reciever says, returning asap wouldnt waste time on it.

Does not play loud, but I didn't want loud, so I'm happy with the system. Speakers were well marked and simple to hook up. I'm happy with this, and for someone like me who only wants a small financial inverstment for decent sound, I like this product.

what you get for the money is great. if you want a better system, spend more money. the sound could get louder. at #60 on the volume control, it's still not blasting.

And that's why I got my money back! Certain things can be brought over the Internet an this is not one of them, I was so excited just moving into my new apartment couldn't wait for my little system to arrive, when it finally came me an my boyfriend put it together to realize it didn't work!!! Not even the radio! The sound only went up to, two, I called best buy immediatly an without any questions asked they told me to return it, I wonder why? But that's what I did!! So people you can only imagine how I felt!!! I was totally refunded an I walked into a store an purchased a Bose system!!! Not saying a Coby is bad but the quality is way better LOOK IT'S YOUR MONEY DO WANT YOU WANT WITH IT!!! But after reading my review an a couple others I think the best thing is to go into the store you might find what your looking for

Do yourself a big favor and spend a little more money and get a decent unit. But this could be a good unit if you need surround sound in a small closet. Major disappointment!!!!

For the price you couldn't ask for anymore. The sound quality is very decent, the volume is good, it is visually appealing. Overall it's a definite must if you are looking for a good home theater system and don't want to pay alot. If you are using a PS3 or a Blu-Ray player it makes the system sound three times as good.
