Excellent product from Compustar, installed in a 2010 Toyota Camry Hybrid in less than 2.5 hours, working great so far(crossing fingers).

This review would've been posted years ago, had I realized how much I enjoy having remote start. This system works really well. To remote start you click the lock button twice, you'll hear a quite beep after each press, then hold the start button on the remote. It will blink quickly then turn green with more chimes and let you know the car has started. Its great. And the range of the remote is awesome, I started my car from the seventh floor of an office building and it started way out in the parking lot. Definitely worth it, and if you can find it on sale, even better. Also, for those with push button, Lexus in my case, the car will stay running after you open the door and get in. There's no need to start the car again once you've entered, unless you leave the door open too long, the car will shut off after 45~ seconds if you're not in the car and pressing the brake. In that case, the car will turn off.

Still getting use to the protocol/sequencing. Rub your belly and jump 3 times on 1 foot simultaneously.. Not intuitive process. Engine has stalled. Timing may have to be adjusted. This was a great deal on sale. 2 way communications is an important feature, but only1 of the 2 fobs is 2 ways. Also, you still need to carry the original fob from car maker because the Compustar fob isn't an engine key. I originally thought it replaces the original. So you still need to carry 2 fobs.

This remote start was installed on my 2016 Nissan Sentra SV push button start. I purchased this item on sale for $249.99. All of the functions on my factory remote are included in the new remote- lock, unlock, trunk release. Unfortunately, you need to carry the factory and new remote in order for the system to work. Something I did not see in the item description is that it comes with 2 remotes BUT only one remote is 2 way. The second remote is just a 1 way. I usually start the car from my house and also when inside the mall or other large buildings and it works perfectly fine. Once you get to the car, you can unlock it with either remote. If someone manages to break into your car, once they step on the brake, the car shuts off immediately. Security is amazing with this remote start system. I don’t have to worry about my car being stolen. Once you enter the car, you have about 45 seconds to shift into gear. If you don’t do it within this time frame, the car shuts off after you step on the brake. When this happens you can just start it with the car’s button. I found a way to overide this 45 second feature by just tapping on the brake once. By doing this you’ll avoid double starting and wearing out the engine starter prematurely. Installation took about 3 hours and no further fees or parts were required.

Great remote start kit with installation. I bought one for my girlfriend last year and no issues so far. It has an excellent range and it was the best price around.

I recently got a new job that requires me to get up a lot earlier in the morning than I'm used to. In the winter months I often have to go outside to warm my car up and/or scrape the snow and ice off regardless of the time of day, but I dreaded the process even more with having to get up earlier in the morning. I initially purchased a different brand 2-way remote start on sale from BB and was told by the installer that the Compustar was a superior product but that it seldom went on sale. Sure enough this package went on sale the next day for less than what I paid for the other brand that was on sale. I purchased one for each of my vehicles and have had the first one installed for a week. It's changed my life! Thankfully I can start the car from the comfort of my apartment (multiple apartment buildings between mine and the parking lot) and from my 3rd floor office at work (on a completely different side of the building/decent distance from the parking lot). The 2-way option is an absolute necessity to KNOW that the various functions are actually going as intended. Ryan at my Champaign BB is excellent and got everything hooked up perfectly. I got this Compustar 2-way with the installation package, and I strongly suggest letting BB install this. Ryan also connected the rear defrost option to the remote, and I strongly suggest you get this done too. I honestly don't know why I never thought to get a remote start a long time ago, but I'm thankful I got this Compustar 2-way package when I did for a really great price. Had the Compustar system installed at the local Best Buy, system works great with my wife's 2015 Honda Accord. The tech did a good job, the remote starter works great. At work the car is parked in a parking lot on the other side of the building she is in, car consistently starts. Only criticism of the installation is that the antenna for the system could have been mounted in the center of the windshield instead of all the way on the left (nbd).

I purchased this online from Bestbuy.com and the price included installation. I'm only sorry I didn't buy this years ago! Those cold, frosty mornings are now bearable, as I hit the remote start from the warmth of my living room. By the time I get in my truck, it's toasty warm. The only thing is, my Nissan Titan didn't play well with the unlock setting on the remote start key fob. The installer called CompuStar and they didn't know about the issue. It's no big deal to me. I carry both the CompuStar fob and the Nissan fob. And, I overrode the issue by changing my vehicle electronic settings on my Nissan display unit. Problem solved. The Best Buy tech told me he'd still further research it and call me if there was any permanent fix available. Lastly, you have to love the lifetime guarantee on the install! I recommend purchasing/installing by Best Buy!

I purchased this kit for $250 total including install. I no longer have to worry about paying Lexus $379 to remote start my car. I have to carry an extra fob but I can start my car from almost anywhere.The install went without any issues.

Great package pricing. This works so well with my Nissan Rogue and thr timing of the installation couldn't be better....winter temps are just around the corner.

I purchased this unit because it was on sale for a great deal including the installation and so far it has been a great product. I had it installed in a Kia Optima and it works great. The range is also amazing for the remote start and unlocking and locking doors, even from inside a building with the car a good distance away. I would highly recommend this unit.

To say that I am pleased would be an understatement! Geek Squad did an excellent installation job. The range on this is amazing. The feedback that the 2 way remote gives is useful. It is so nice to get in a car that is warmed up and ready to go - from the comfort of my house. I am now spoiled...

I switched jobs and lost my heated garage space. Decided to pick this up when on sale - was not familiar with the brand but talked to the installer and had any concerns resolved. Installed on an 08 Highlander. Paid the extra $40 to have the rear window defrost added as well. I have been amazed how great the range is. Very happy thus far.

This is a great product. The main reason I bought this is because it includes bypass module which will save me $100. Also it is 2way and it has 1/2mile range which is great. I can start my vehicle from my desk and I get notified if it starts. Overall great buy. I would recommend this remote starter.

Purchased this item as a gift for my son. I previously purchased the same item for myself about a year ago and was pleased with the range at which the remote start can be used. When on sale, it is a good value for the item and installation is included. Really like the two-way remote for confirming the start command was successful.
