After purchasing the remote start package with installation I contacted Geek Squad for installation but was told they were too busy to install it for 2 months. Was told I could 'go to other BB locations that might not be so busy.'

Its okay for price?? Transmitor range sucks. Wish I bought a viper better should of forked out extra?? Best buy salesman told me Compustar was better them installer said Viper is better?? Not recommended

Love how to be able to get in my car and it at the right temp. Instead of blasting heat when I open the door in the summer. Instead of freezing cold when its winter.

It says it works up to a 1000 ft but I have a problem when I try to start the car inside my house less than 300 ft away

Very disappointed in unit. Had it install in a 06 trailblazer. Sometimes it starts. Most of the time it doesn't start. It starts, than shuts off. Does this a lot. Doors won't even open on the 1st or 2nd try. Going back in to see if they can be correct it. Was Xmas present for my spouse. Hopefully , able to update review if it gets fixed.

The installer insisted that my vehicle already had a remote start system and that he couldn’t install new one. Took it to another business, they said there was no system installed on vehicle and they hooked me up with a remote starter and alarm.

I have had 2 of these installed on the same vehicle. The first one was running battery down and would not start vehicle from 25 feet away. Had it warrantied out. The second one just won't start vehicle from 25 feet away standing in living room. A waste of money.

Would never get my car done. There was a 3 weeks waiting list to get my remote starter installed. Then my laurel said they could do it earlier. But then had to reschedule and wait for another 3 weeks. So I just returned the product.

I purchased this remote starter at a hefty discount during the holiday season. It works great! It came with installation but I did need to pay for a couple extra parts when I had it installed (~$50 after tax). I'm glad I got the installation done at Best Buy because they have a lifetime warranty on labor. The Compustar brand of remote starts is known for how well it works in extreme cold weather, which is what I need in Chicago. Thank you to Brandon at the Belmont Best Buy in Chicago for installing on New Year's Eve in record time (he seemed a little frustrated, but reasonable since it was New Year's eve and the store was closing early).

I bought this for my wife. It's advertised as having a range of up to 1,000 feet. My first warning should have been when the installer trying to demonstrate couldn't get it to work from 30 feet through an open garage door. But after having been waiting for almost 6 hours I accepted the installation and left. For the most part it did what was desired and allowed starting the car to warm up on cold mornings. However, I quickly learned not to expect it to work beyond about 20 feet. Spring came and we quit using it, then once it began getting really hot I figured we should be using it to start the car with the air-conditioning on so it wouldn't feel like an oven when we got in it. I learned then that the only location I could start it from was either sitting in the driver's seat or standing at the front left corner of the car. Standing on the passenger side corner would not work, nor standing behind the car or beside it on the passenger side. I replaced the batteries in both remotes, but that didn't make any difference. I have an appointment to have it checked out this weekend, 8 months after initial installation. I will have to drive 100 miles one way to get to the closest Best Buy location that installs these starters. Honestly, I can't say that I have high expectations for good results. I will update this review if I wind up with a product that performs as advertised.

Good remote start. Works great with no issues and is easy to use.

Constantly loses the signal. Now my middle sliding door opens randomly, even while parked. The Tech at my local store said Best Buy should not even be selling this piece of garbage. Stick with Viper

Just purchased model RSG6/AL from Best Buy had them install it I would not waste your time or money it is a piece of junk it has no range it all it says 1000 feet on the box it or to say 100 feet It will work if your standing right next to the truck
