This remote starter was purchased at Best Buy and installed by Best Buy in Jan 2015. It is now mid Feb and it no longer works. Calls to Best Buy install team have been met with answers such as "we are booked through March, sorry". This is not acceptable considering it is both the remote starting and door locking functions that do not work; therefore the truck has been unlocked without my knowledge since I was not aware until today that function was also faulty! Best Buy's lack of response to my request for a service appointment to resolve this issue is not acceptable. Its days like these that I truly miss Circuit City and other competition in the electronics provider ring. Would not recommend this starter or install package from Best Buy.

The self starter works wonders on a cold morning. Its nice to get into a warm car.

So I wasn't too familiar with the CompuStar brand but it seems to be working well. The remotes seem solid and work from a good distance. I had the geek squad install it so I can't speak for ease of install but it appears to be a good remote starter.

I had something similar on an older car. It lasted over 12 years and was still going when I sold the car. This car starter is the basic model, but definitely worth paying for. It’s simple to use, reliable and a great feature to have on your car.

This is a good remote starter. I actually bought the upgrade for the remotes, which increases the distance and has one 2 way remote (to verify it started.) So far I haven't had any problems with it.

I bought this as a package deal, which meant the installation was free. My daughter really likes it. Even though it is only one way, you still know when your car has received the signal because the remote blinks twice.

I received this remote starter for Christmas and had it installed on January 4th just before Minnesota's second plunge into the deep freeze. I couldn't be happier with the starter and the Geek squad installation.
