Verdict. This is a great curling iron with some useful features. While this is our first curling iron and we are still learning how to use it, we have gotten some great results to take some formal pictures. Of note, there is a bit of learning curve initially. Features. This curling iron has a comfortable handle with conveniently located buttons and heating adjustments. The ceramic coating works really well on the hair. The curling iron heats up pretty fast, and heat appears to be pretty stable based on the setting you select. On top of that there is a turbo button that give you extra heat if you need it during styling. The heating adjustment switch clicks when you move it so that you can easily tell that you are adjusting the temperature without looking at it. There are a total of 30 heat settings, so you can really dial-in what works for your hair. The clip provides sufficient pressure to hold the hair while you curl. Performance. We used this curling iron after straightening my daughter’s hair with a straightening iron. The curls were easy to make and lasted quite a while. I couldn’t say if they lasted longer than curls from other machines since we haven’t had one of these before. Overall, we were able to get great results from this iron after watching some videos online, but it took some adjustments because we are used to only using straightening irons, and you can't really get burned with a straightening iron. This requires a more careful approach! Things I love: - It heats really fast - The turbo button gives extra heat when you need it - Comfortable to hold - Ample heat settings for perfect adjustment Things I don’t love: - Would it be possible to make the thumb press on the clip a little wider and more ergonomic? - I wish it came with a storage case, even a cloth storage case, to better protect the iron when it is in a drawer or closet Overall, great curling iron for the price. It seems to have everything one would want from a curling iron!

I let my sister test this out because she has the hair for it. :) She says that it gets the job done and tames her frizz when she tried it out. It doesn't take long to heat up, but that's kind of standard for majority of curling irons. It's affordable for what it can do, and the sleek look it has definitely helps. The cord length is just what you're looking for because depending on your bathroom set up, if it's like ours, the outlet is far from the counter top so you need the just right size cord, and this one is just long enough but not too long. It has a nice grip when you use it, and it's very light weight. It says 1" but it seems smaller than 1", more like 0.75" (didn't measure it, but just from visually looking it seems this way compared to other curling irons owned). It would have been nice to have the digital display for the temperature. This one is just a number scale that includes 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, but it would be better if it showed the actual temperature as a digital display (however, for the price maybe it would be too costly to add it for this particular model). The clamp is also a little heavy resistance-wise, and with the clamp having tough resistance, it makes your hand cramp up a little bit when using for an extended period of time. Overall it's not perfect, but good for the price.

Night two of getting ready and mom wanted to try curls. She’s got a short bob haircut right now and so this was going to go one of two ways. Nice bouncy curls or way to tight of a curl. Thankfully it was nice and bouncy. She loves a loose curl that she can spray some hairspray into to add volume. She looked awesome and the best part was how quick she was able to curl her hair, and then put the curling iron away. The only bit of feedback was the buttons feel very cheaply made and like after a year or so we might have issues. It’s a great beauty tool to keep on hand as an extra like I do.

It leaves nice curls on my hair and it doesn’t burn it like other curling irons I purchased in the past. It doesn’t take long at all to do all my hair. It doesn’t smell like other ones either whenever is on.

Love it holds a curl really good. Does get hot fast love the different settings.

Not happy with this curling iron. The clamp doesn’t hold my hair so therefore I can’t curl it! Hair falls off barrel cuz the clamp is way to loose…I do have fine hair, but I never had this problem with any other curling irons

So happy with this purchase. I've been wanting a new curling iron that works best with my fine hair. Recommend you try this one out.

Right. Do not need hairspray prior curling and my hairs are curled well as long as the heat is set around 15-20.

This is a lightweight, 1 inch curling iron that has a max heat of 450 degrees, with the use of turbo setting. Its designed for coarse, thick, wavy, curly, and frizzy hair. Its tourmaline ceramic to control frizz, 30 heat settings, yes 30!! There are no hot spots, it is nice and uniform from end to end. The cord is long enough to use comfortably and has an auto shut-off incase you forget. This thing works great and is a super value . The comfort grip handle really helps with extended use and if you need a blast of extra heat. You simply hit the turbo button to get 450 degrees ultra high heat. I would not recommend this for children. The end result is very nice, shiny curls. Its well made and lightweight ..It preforms like a professional wand and is a great value.

This is my first curling iron and so far, it has been working pretty well. It takes a few minutes to heat up and keep the hair in shape for a long time. This product is amazing for an affordable price.

I have 3 daughters all of which have different hair texture, we were excited and curious about this curling iron. One thing that caught my eye immediately was the “Instant Heat Technology” which allows you to select and adjust the temperature of the to accommodate to thin/fragile, Normal hair, wavy/cury hair and thick hair. It has 30 temperatures settings. Next thing I really liked was the safety feature which automatically shuts off the curling iron within 60 minutes, this is especially important since I have a preteen that can be a bit forgetful. The curling iron is pretty self explanatory, my eleven year old daughter was able to easily operate it and curl her younger sister hair without any issues. There is a “Turbo Heat” feature that gives you a burst of heat for difficult styling spots. Once plugged in the iron warmed up within 30 seconds which was nice, so we didn’t have to wait long to get started styling their hair. The barrel is what they call “tourmaline ceramic” this made it really easy to wipe and clean hair product build up on the barrel. Overall we liked the curling iron although it didn’t seem much different than other basic curling irons I’ve owned in the past. I would recommend it to a friend or family member if they are looking for a basic curling iron, it didn’t really give my girls the “beach-wave” look they were hoping for but it did curl well and did so fairly quickly.

I needed a smaller barrel and choose this one for the quality and price.
