Excellent story on how first contact with extraterrestrials may occur. Diverges completely from the typical space alien invasion plot line. Very interesting and easy-to-follow depiction of a SETI team monitoring the electromagnetic signals of the cosmos, and the exciting, captivating action they take upon detecting communication with a source of origin that is obviously alien.

I wanted this movie for a long time and I grabbed it from Best Buy when it was on sale. It looks great on Blu-Ray; which is mostly why I waited to buy it. The sound is excellent and the behind the scenes are..."OK." Overall, I'm glad I made the investment.

Easily one of my favorite movies, it's a science fiction movie that asks what if, not your typical space alien movie... Jodie Foster was made for the role and the quality of the Blu-Ray is noticeable... One to buy and watch again and again!

The blu-ray version of this movie is the definitive version. It's not the best transfer out there, but it's much better than the DVD version. For the price, it's a must get.

Adapted from Car Sagan's Novel "Contact". Nice depiction of the human struggles between understaning and superstion.... GREAT MOVIE.

Possibly Jodie Foster's best film; I was happy to get the br upgrade at a great price.

Show was great, the color and the definition was great.

The movie was incredible and the music was amazing!

Some decent special effects but the ending was a bit off with the government hiding the 18 hours of tape.
