Great cooler. I had a computer with a stock cooler and a cramped case. The CPU was heating up to 95c and throttling. With this cooler and a more roomy case the CPU runs 30c cooler maxed out. It also doesn't make a lot of noise.

The price for performance is outstanding keeps temps at around 30 to 32 degrees vs the stock cooler at 40 45. I have 2 fans running and don't hardly hear anything spinning. Install was fairly simple you do have to get underneath mobo and the clips could be better seem flimsy and cheap. I prefer the plastic backplate vs a metal previously that other hyper 212's models use so the mobo doesn't short out. I like the black color scheme. These coolers are the kings of stable performance and price been using for years!!.

A really good option for CPU cooling. A great price and it works really well. Much cooler temps than a stock cooler. Cheaper than water cooling, but similar performance.

Boss fan, its real quiet, and keeps my CPU processor cool.
The instructions are detailed, and pictures; as you have to assemble the correct chassis, AMD or INTEL;
The fan is versatile, and can be mounted in a 'push' or 'pull' configuration; or additional fan (purchased separately) if additional air-cooling is necessary for your build.
I got this fan, as the processor is capable of over-clocking when I need it.

I had prebuilt desktop PC that had horrible cooling. Even the thermals being repasted on the cpu, it was running at 88-91 temps while gaming. I grabbed one of these cpu coolers for $30 and BOOM…70-75 temps all day long even under heavy load. Tip: just make sure your case is large enough, becuase this cooler is about the size of a softball.

Keeps temps really cool and looks clean. Very good quality item! Just make sure it fits in your case!! It could be too big for some cases! Very good value for your money!

Works great! My pc used run about 100° while gaming but now after installing this cpu fan it runs at 34° highest 45° big drop! Also this cpu fan includes instructions that are easy to follow! Comes with everything you need to mount it to your motherboard! Even came with its own thermal paste! It is Def worth your money! Keeps your pc working and without over heating! Money well spent!

Okay, this CPU cooler is awesome. I'll preface this by saying I've messed around with computers for something like 30 years, but I've never actually bought a CPU cooler. The first few computers didn't even have CPU coolers!
Anyway, I've used stock coolers on at least five desktops, and they were generally fine. The two main desktops have AIOs, and they're fantastic. I recently upgraded the server with a used enterprise Sunmicro board and a Core i7 4770S. It came with a tiny low profile Dynatron T450 CPU cooler and fan, which was not even adequate for idle, so never went to low RPM. Under load, the CPU temperature would immediately shoot up well past 70C and continue climbing. As soon as I installed the Hyper 212 Black Edition, I loaded the CPU for max power and heat with prime95, and in 10 minutes, the CPU never went above 66C and never got anywhere near close to throttling. Great results!
Additional: Packaging is great. Build quality is great. I think it's silent, but I can't hear the CPU cooler at all over the chassis fans anyway, since they're 3-pin and run at max speed. 4-pin PWM fans are next for upgrade.
The Hyper 212 line has long been recognized as the best budget enthusiast cooler on the market. I'm impressed and can only agree!

For the price, this fan vastly outperformed my expectations. Its keeping my cpu at target temperatures and at low volume levels. Highly recommend for the price.

One of the best cpu fans ive ever purchased! Im nee to the tall vertical mount coolers like this one and its just great. My ryzen 5 5600g on the stock fan when on max cpu loads for loading or caching shader would go almost to 80 Celsius even at 60 fps, but after installing this? Not even breaking 60 on max loads TRULY it has great heat dissipation and cooling for the price there is better but this is pretty good for the price.

The 212 has been my go to cooler for almost 10 years now.
The black edition keeps my money coming now being the most affordable cooler out there that can keep my cpu at good temperatures.
I was able to use this with LGA 1200 with the same hardware and no modifications. Not overclocking and dont see any crazy thermal throttling.

I would Recommend this Air cooler for anyone who plans on gaming or editing if you're on a bit of a budget. For the price, it performs extraordinarily well. I was running on a Ryzen 5 3600 at stock frequency and with the stock cooler and idle temperatures were in the low to mid 40's C. After switching to this cooler, it's now running at a relatively stable 34 C WITH the 3600 overclocked to 4.2 GHz. In fact, it rarely gets above 70 C when maxed out when gaming at higher resolutions with raytracing enabled (my GPU is the Asus Dual 3060 ti).
The highest I have ever seen it peak was at 73 C with Battlefield V high settings at 1440p with RTX enabled. But it usually hovers around 68-69 C with those settings. The Hyper 212 is truly a beast at its price range, and for most people, a better option than even most $100 liquid coolers.
It shines best when you have a good airflow case. I have the CoolerMaster NR600 with both case fans that come with it as well as one extra corsair fan at the front. The NR600 is also a cheaper air flow case ($70). Higher quality cases will yield even better results. Again, fantastic product for a fantastic price.

I bought this at my local Best Buy for about $50. I used a Noctua fan I had instead of the fan it came with. They seem to be a good match. Doing a good job of keeping my i7-8700k cool. Runs quiet. I'm very happy with my purchase.
Only issue I had was with the clips that are used to connect the fan to the unit, they had me talking to myself. But it all worked out well in the end.
