The Cooler Master does its job well in keeping my laptop from overheating. It's quiet and efficient and also provides a better typing service. My only complaint is that it is only adjustable to two setting, whereas I would like to have multiple settings.

Very large fan, but it is surprisingly quiet. And the built in USB port is nice to have. The blue light is nice I guess. Not really needed though. I have only had it a few weeks so that is the reason for only four stars. I bought this for my gaming laptop. And so far it has kept it cool. Only $20 as a daily deal email. Great price.

I got this Cooling deck as the Deal of the Day from Best Buy for 20 bucks. At that price I'd say its a really good deal. I have owned 4 cooling decks over the years, and this one is far better than any other. The fan is very large compared to the total size, the rubber pads grip the table well. Your laptop will need to have rubber pads of its own to grip the surface. The LED lights are novel, but with a 17 inch laptop on it you can't really even see them, fortunately you can push a click button to turn both on and off. The USB port in the pad works well, I use a barcode scanner on a regular basis for as many as 50 scans a day, and it has never acted up. The Fan speed can be slowed down using a wheel next to the on/off switch, though I've kept mine at high speed. My laptop used to get quite warm and even shut down a few times from overheating. Now with this cooling deck it will be cool to the touch. That's good performance!!! The best piece of advice I can offer: Vacuum your unit weekly to keep dust buildup down. This will keep it in like new condition for a long time. An excellent investment to keep your laptop cool

I purchased this X3 rather than the X2 because it was on sale for $20. I feel it was worth it sense the cost was lower than most other coolers with similar features and plus it has a 200mm fan! The four(4) blue LEDs(which it comes with a push button to turn them on/off) look really cool with the fan running. The X3 also has a push button to turn the fan on/off as well as a variable speed adjustment for the fan also. All of this combined along with the $20 pricetag I snagged it at made it an excellent purchase in my opinion. The material is a hardened plastic with a metal screen to allow the airflow taking air in from beneath and t also has a front vent to blow some air toward the user to help keep your hands dry should the need arise, such as during gaming. Although, it needs to be at higher speed to really feel any air coming out the front vent in my experience. It may be the clearance between the cooler and the laptop(my laptop, an ASUS G73, has larger rubber feet) wich might not be causing enough backpressure to force more air out the front vent. The X3 also has two hinged stand-off legs on the rear to angle it making the laptop therefre also angled towards the user. I found it better with my G73 however t keep the legs folded in(closed) as it already has an angled profile of it's own. Using the fold legs made the angle too steep. But may be nicer for flatter laptops such as business type laptops and the like.

If you need a really need a good cooling pad, then look no further. With the extra large fan, cooling is a "breeze" and laptop temps dropped within minutes. I am not a gamer but this would be perfect for those that are. The cooling pad has two switches and a variable controller for the speed of the fan. One switch is to turn the fan off/on and the other is to turn on on/off the four blue lights within the unit. Does not effect the cooling but just a cool extra. The unit has a front a large vent that does help dry your palms, something I did not expect to do a as well as it does.

Although I have not used the cooler very much I like it for cooling the laptop. Like so many others that reviewed this item, I agree that the led lights are nice, but they are not visible when the laptop is in place. Also I cannot see myself using the fan speed adjustment because I will always use it in the highest setting. Doesn't seem to move enough air in any other speed.

The fan is quieter than my laptop's fan so it works nice. Adjustable wheel on the side that works nicely. Recommend laptops for any laptops up to 15 inches.

My laptop is used as a desktop replacement, so I primarily use it at home, plugged in. I also play a lot of games. Before getting this fan, my laptop would get warm just doing normal web surfing. Playing games would overheat my laptop and either brought everything to a crawl or shutdown my computer. After getting this fan, all these problems went away. I can now properly use my laptop and can play PC games again. As an experiment, I've kept the fan off, turning it on only when I notice my laptop get hot. After turning the fan on, my laptop becomes noticeably cooler in minutes. I would recommend this fan to anyone who has overheating problem.s

I use this for my Asus gaming laptop and it does very well in keeping the temps down. Definitely recommend.

Bought it on a Deal of the Day, when it was exceptional value for the money. Keeps my old beast of a Dell Inspiron (mixed 9300/XPS Gen 2) running at steady temps of about 110 CPU, 105 GPU, 95 RAM no matter what so far. Has an integrated cable-management system, which helps with stowing the cable. Downside: it's not really portable unless you carry your laptop in a HUGE backpack or a small suitcase (I use a catalog-case BARELY within airport carry-on limits and had to gut my gear load to make room), "Built-In USB Hub" only replaces the port used to power the pad rather than allowing the expansion of a true USB hub. Cable-management depends on the cable being JUST the right length (mine's a little long). Bottom line: Would I buy it again? At the price I paid (~$20), ABSOLUTELY. At full price, I'd probably have to think on it a while, though Cooler Master usually makes pretty good hardware. As high as halfway, maybe even 3/4-way between those two prices, I probably would still buy again.

the cooling pad is a little bigger than it looks online but is quiet and has been working great

I have a Toshiba Qosmio laptop (17" screen) that runs warm and isn't designed properly to keep itself cool (too small of a fan and not accessible for cleaning). My Qosmio fan even got so plugged up with dust a year ago the computer overheated and shut down. I had to take it in to get it professionally cleaned. With this Cooler Master fan feeding the machine, the Qosmio fan runs on low speed -- if it runs at all -- so it's not getting clogged up. The Cooler Master Cooling Pad fan provides many times the air that the little Qosmio fan provides. I would highly recommend this fan to anyone with a laptop that runs hot.

My 17.3" laptop was getting very hot. I've tried other fans and cooling desks, but none worked as well as this one. I love that it has a USB port to plug things into while the fan is plugged into my computer. I highly recommend this product.

Does well cooling even my furnace of a laptop. It is powerful but quiet. the only downside is that the 4 LEDs are compleatly covered by my laptop and thus serve no purpose.

I am totally happy with the product. Light weight and cools my laptop very well.

It cools very nicely. I have an Alienware laptop that is known for running hot. This thing keeps it cool enough to sit in my lap without overheating. However, the USB power cord is on the lower left side which just gets in the way when I am sitting in a chair. The top surface is very smooth and slippery plastic. I have to be very careful that the laptop doesn't slide off into the floor.

Great value,works well. lights are kinda neat although unnecessary. great that you have on off switches as well as fan speed control. probably more than you need unless your a gamer,however it can't be too cool to protect the laptop.

Very quiet The blue led light is cool it is very stable on my work space no problem so far

I bought this fan to cool my laptop down because my wife stole my other cooling pad. I love that you can adjust the fan speeds and the extra usb slots. The one thing I do not like is when you pick up the colling pad when it is on the case for the cooling pad rubs against the fan and makes a god awful noise.

Fan works great under the computer. It keeps it from getting as hot if you are using it for any length of time. My computer is 17 inches so I can't really see the purpose of the light but it looks cool if the computer isn't on it.
