Assembly was ok... a couple of the bolts took some pressure to get the holes to line up properly but were not awful. There are eight washers included (instructions say there are four) but not shown anywhere in the instructions... they probably go in the bolts that hold the metal swivel plate on the bottom of the seat base. Total assembly time was about a half hour. The arms are reasonably comfortable, though not padded at all. Everything operates quietly and the chair really is made of good sturdy materials. My only gripe, and this will probably have me returning it, is that the headrest juts out right into my shoulder blades. Even adjusted all the way up it sits at the base of my neck and shoulders. It forces my upper back forward into a hunched position and really causes some awful posture. I'm 6'2" with a 33" inseam. Someone with a shorter torso would likely fit much better. If the headrest was not there, the lumbar support seems pretty good and the overall comfort is good. The springy plastic bar/pad in your lumbar area does push a tad hard and creates a pressure point.

Would put 5 stars if the backing was thicker or angled; I had to buy one of those lumbar support pillows, but I really like it
