It’s okay. It does have to adjust to your movements for a minute for it to be actually accurate.like I ran 4 miles on the treadmill and it thought I did 5.

Effortless Comfort and Reliability Around the Clock
As someone who’s always on the move, whether I am hitting the trails or navigating the daily grind, the COROS PACE 3 has been an absolute revelation. The super-light and sleek design, with a body just 11.7mm thick and weighing a mere 30g with the nylon band, makes it so comfortable that I often forget I'm wearing it. It’s perfect for 24/7 wear, ensuring no distractions whether I am awake or asleep.
Clarity and Convenience at Your Fingertips
The always-on 1.2" transflective touchscreen display is a standout feature. It is a clear and easy-to-navigate interface in various lighting conditions, from bright outdoor sunlight to dim indoor rooms, and enhances usability. I especially appreciate the customizable touchscreen settings, which include options like Always On, Navigation and Activity Interface, and Navigation Only, making it versatile for different needs and preferences.
Unmatched Battery Life Keeps You Going Longer
Battery life is critical for any sports enthusiast, and the COROS PACE 3 does not disappoint. It offers up to 38 hours of continuous GPS use and an impressive 17 days of constant daily use. This extended battery life means less time tethered to a charger and more time exploring, training, and competing.
Precision Tracking Wherever You Go
This watch's GPS accuracy is phenomenal. Thanks to its dual-frequency GPS and a redesigned satellite chipset, my data stays precise even in areas with high-rise buildings that usually pose a challenge for signal reception. Whether I am running in a crowded city or hiking in secluded trails, the COROS PACE 3 keeps me on track without a hitch.
Navigation and Custom Routes Made Simple
Building and following custom routes has never been easier. The ROUTE PLANNER feature allows me to create routes or find destinations and sync them directly to the watch via the COROS app. The breadcrumb navigation feature is handy, ensuring I never stray from my path during my adventures.
Tailored for All Types of Training
No matter what sport it is, the COROS PACE 3 has a mode for it. From running to snowboarding, each activity mode is designed to deliver accurate measurements, enhancing my training sessions and helping me monitor my progress across a wide range of activities. This versatility is something I highly value as a multi-sport athlete.
Seamless Integration with Other Apps and Devices
The ability to sync with third-party applications like Strava, Nike Run Club, and Apple Health, as well as control devices like my GoPro and Insta360 cameras directly from my wrist, is incredibly convenient. It allows me to stay connected and share my achievements while keeping my phone safely tucked away.
Final Thoughts
The COROS PACE 3 GPS Sports Watch is more than just a watch; it is a comprehensive tool that enhances my athletic performance and fits seamlessly into my daily life. Durable, lightweight, and packed with advanced features, it stands out as a top contender in the sports watch market. For anyone serious about their fitness and outdoor activities, this watch is a must-have.

THE watch to get for endurance training

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Between my spouse and I, we've had a number of "smart" watches over the years. For endurance athletes (or those who would be), this COROS is phenomenal and the best I've tried. That said, if you're not in that category, you may want to look elsewhere. Read on to decide for yourself!
A bit of background on other experience - my spouse is an Apple ecosystem adherent so it's been an Apple Watch from the beginning. I on the other hand started out FitBit and have tried other things along the way before settling on my current "daily driver" of a Garmin Venu 3. The COROS Pace 3 will likely supplement the Garmin rather than truly replacing it, and I'll switch off depending on what I'm doing.
Why is that, you may ask? And, if I'll only use the COROS part time, why a 5 star rating? It all comes down to be a specialist in a single trade vs a generalist. This COROS - while you COULD wear it as your every day watch - is clearly designed as a specialist for endurance training, particularly for running. It's made to achieve lightness and LOONG battery life with an easy to read always-on screen at the expense of many other things. The band even has lots of perforations to keep weight down.
And at what it's meant to do, the COROS is a phenomenal achievement. While I haven't had the watch long enough to truly run the battery down, I fully believe the stated 38 hours in continuous GPS mode and 15 days in normal use - I've been using the two modes and have barely budged the battery indicator. The GPS seems highly accurate and the screen is clear and readable - the watch itself is super easy to use and I actually prefer the "twist and click crown" plus an extra button to the touch bezel / buttons on my Garmin. I haven't tried the coaching yet, but it seems decent enough and targeted to runners (I mix cycling and running and the watch works fine for both).
Compared to the Garmin, the COROS Pace 3 is a huge winner in battery life (offering 2-3x the daily use time and over 4x what I get in GPS mode) and readability of the screen during activities. It's also MUCH lighter though not in a way that feels cheap or flimsy - I do fully believe this watch will last through many runs / rides. HOWEVER, for as good an endurance specialist as the COROS is, it's nowhere near the generalist the Garmin is (nor that an Apple Watch would be). It doesn't have the same type of app ecosystem the others do nor the features like music / bluetooth playback, nearfield payments and so on. Nor is the screen anywhere near as vibrant / colorful, particularly for things other than straight text. So I feel like I'd be giving up a lot to use this as my every day wear watch, meaning I'll keep this for what it was so clearly designed to be - a great companion during long runs/rides.
So if you're in the market for an amazing watch that is designed to be the best it can be for endurance trianing / competition, I can handily recommend the COROS Pace 3. Between the weight, CRAZY long battery life and useful / easy to read screen, it's the thing to have for your runs, rides, swims, etc. But if you're looking for a general purpose watch with a deep app-ecosystem, I'd say to look elsewhere.

This Coros sport watch is a decent smart watch, if you know what it's for and you do not expect more from it than it's meant for.
The first thing I noticed about it upon taking it out of the box is just how lite it is. Seriously, this thing makes my Apple Watch seem heavy by comparison. Despite the lack of serious "heft" it feels remarkably well put together. The included wrist band is a mixed bag in my opinion. Seems sturdy enough for what the watch is meant for but the clasp could be designed better for easy on and off use. One thing that could be designed better is the method of charging. The charging cable is way too short and be USB-C instead of USB-A. That's good I guess for folks still holding on to an old USB-A charger but a longer cable would be a "must" to me seeing as how it is proprietary and not easy to replace.
Battery life is impressive. Seriously impressive. I've gone the better part of a week without having to recharge.
The screen could stand to be a bit brighter but with battery life like this I guess I won't complain too much.
Upon installing to Coros app to my iPhone it was simple to get it paired to the watch. The first thing that happens is a firmware update that takes about 20 minutes. Upon starting up your are fronted by a pop-up for the GPS saying you have a one week trail. Not good in my book if you'll be using this to track any walks, runs, or hikes.
Through the app you can set this up to track a wide range of activities.
Overall, if you're looking for very specific set of things to use your watch for then this if more for you.

The COROS - PACE 3 GPS Sport Watch is a nice sport watch for the money. There are a lot of features their competitors do not offer at this price point. The addition of a touchscreen is great to have. Battery life at 38 hours with GPS and 24 days in smartwatch mode is more than plenty for the average user. Not having to worry about battery charge is a huge benefit compared to some watches that last mere days. The design is just right, not overbearing. It is super light and barely noticeable weight wise. The plastic band is very flexible and has some give for movement without feeling tight. The only slight slight drawback with the band being flexible is that sometimes it’s a little difficult to get the band in the straps.
The watch is plenty customizable with a variety of faces to choose from. It is nice to be able to choose which metrics and parameters you want to see first. They range from minimalist designs that function like a traditional watch face all the way to tracking real time data like steps and heart rate. Each of Coros’ widgets open to show detailed metrics depending on the user’s needs. Linked to your smartphone you can receive notifications, weather forecasts and much more. You can also pair this watch with action cameras like a GoPro. You can start and stop recordings with the Pace 3. There are many activities you can track with the Pace 3. Runs, swims, cycling, the list goes on, but it does not have tennis listed, lol. Each one of the activity widgets can be customized to the user’s liking. You can pick and choose which metric you want to see and where they go on your screen. The Pace 3 supports many Bluetooth sensors so you can get even more accuracy and detail in your activities. The GPS function/tracking is pretty spot on!
Menu navigation could be improved with the addition of a button or two. Menus and settings can be streamlined with the introduction of more buttons. Things can be accessed better and faster with dedicated buttons rather than relying on the crown and a single button. I would almost wish it had a little bigger lip over the screen, so I wouldn’t have to worry about brushing the screen over something and scratching my pretty watch :) It would have been nice to have a standard USB-C charging port instead of the style it comes with. You will always have to have the “one” that is included with it if you travel. But it does have a long battery life though, but still would be nice to have USB-C.
Overall, the COROS - PACE 3 GPS Sport Watch is a solid watch for the money. It packs a lot into one watch that your average person will enjoy. Even seasoned athletes will get plenty of use out of this watch. I’m pretty stoked with all the information I get from it. One of my favorites is the sleep tracker! The COROS - PACE 3 GPS Sport Watch is a nice all-around sports watch.

I have been using a smartwatch since 2017, and even after upgrading to the latest flagship smartwatch, I always keep wishing the battery lasted longer. This year, I have realized that I am more interested in tracking my fitness than I am about having access a watch that basically has everything I have on my phone. For this reason, I decided to give this Coros Pace 3 a try, and so far in the first couple of weeks, I am impressed at how much it can track and how accurate it is for such an affordable and comfortable sports watch. Equally important, the battery is no comparison to my previous smartwatch experiences! I charged it to full when I first got it and it went for about 14 days without it needing a charge. I don’t even how that’s possible. Yes, the screen quality is not a bright oled or the best pixel quality, but it’s decent enough and again, I am personally interested in the tracking capabilities, and this is here it surpassed my expectations!
Here is a quick breakdown of my rating for this watch.
Battery 5/5 – there is probably other fitness watches out there with better battery, but I don’t think there is one at this price point. Super impressed by this especially because I came from a watch that needed to be charged every single night!
Fit and Comfort 5/5 – it’s on the smaller scale of watches, but I don’t think it looks feminine on my wrist. I am 5’7 and 155lbs. It barely weights anything, so I forget that it’s even there and I like this personally.
Tracking 5/5 – it’s accurate and provides me with the data that I like to read and understand. It also tracks my sleep which I like. My other watch did this, and I don’t necessarily pay lots of attention to it besides seeing the hours I got it. My other watch did not provide information on recovery and stress, and this watch provides this and I like this a lot. I am still understanding how it works, but I appreciate having this additional data for me to review and try to improve!
Coros App 5/5 – I am completely new to this Coros environment, and I did not feel confused or overwhelmed when setting up the watch or when looking at the data in the phone app. I love the charts and data points it provides. I don’t want to compare my Ultra experience with this Coros Pace 3 because they are completely different watches.

Context: I am a regular runner (road & trail), cyclist & walker/hiker. Generally, 4-5 GPS-tracked workouts per week. I've used Garmin & Apple trackers for most of the last 15 years, this is my first time using COROS
As with so many things in life, your best GPS-enabled watch/tracker solution depends on assessing your needs & assessing how various solutions align with them in this crowded and competitive market.
My takes based on my comparisons:
Bang for your buck: COROS products, from their introduction, stood out based on their price to functionality ratio relative to the competition.
Battery life: Again, COROS is known for this. I first started looking at COROS when my slow self signed up for a 50 mile ultramarathon- 12+ hours for me. The Pace 3 claims 38 hours of battery life with GPS tracking- 17 DAYS if you're just using it as a watch/fitness tracker. Others offer long-life products- some cost as much as a laptop!
Workouts: I really like the COROS "Training Hub"- it will download pre-set workouts to your watch. There are runs/bikes/gym workouts- again, other offer workout functionality, but it may require manual set-up & more effort
Customization: there are plenty of ways to customize the COROS- data fields & screens by workout type, pre-defined watch faces, etc.. Apple & Garmin have more extensive app & customization libraries
"Smart Watch" functions: I can't control my thermostat or see my front door bell cam while on a run... that's not generally what I'm looking for, so that's OK. I also can't talk through the watch like Maxwell Smart... again, not what I'm looking for.
Screen: my only real beef with the COROS Pace 3 is the display- my aging eyes have a slightly hard time seeing the smaller LCD screen vs. larger OLED screens on competitors. I'm told it's easier to see in direct sun, though haven't had an opportunity to test that yet.

This is not the average smart watch to have! This one was made to be more as a fitness and activities tracker! They have in mind that it should be a light weight watch with battery that should last LONG TIME! So far, I like everything about it! The screen is amazing. It can be easily seen in daylight. When it goes to sleep, it is still on and visible (in light condition). The watch is really elegant and very light on your wrist.
The tracker app is more targeted to professionals with too many good features and useful information. I compared it with other sport watch / smart watch and with medical devices, the readings are coherent and accurate. The GPS and Altimeter are very effective and accurate as well without affecting the battery life (by much). I switched it to continuous heart rate monitoring instead of periodical monitoring and honestly the battery life is still very acceptable. I have charged it in the morning and passed a very active day with a lot of watch checking and by the end of the day I was still about 77% of battery life.
The only thing that I don't really like about it is the charging method. I believe a watch only way to charge should be wireless. That's my opinion.
Coros will help you get in shape and better understand your body's reaction to the activities you are doing. I love that. Again, it is maybe more professional addressed information but it is good to learn then keep on the easy data. Vital readings are more thorough with Coros than some other big names.
I'd recommend getting it if you do a lot of outdoor activities and benefits from the coaching that it offers. I like the storm alert feature. I'll be going mountain hiking soon! I am sure that I'll enjoy having it on my wrist. Battery life is also a big plus to me!

Expensive metrics at a budget price!

This is a nice budget-oriented watch with not so budget features!
I will start by saying my daily watch is a Garmin Fenix 7, so I have some high expectations! Out of the box you can tell it’s a solid product and has a good build quality. It is definitely a watch that kind of models it self off the high end Garmin line in the look and feel of the watch.
Getting it set up and connected to my phone was a very easy process. I had no problems at all getting it set up with my phone. I found the app to be very intuitive and it displayed all of the information that I was looking for. Your daily step, floor, and calorie count as well as your workouts you did that day. There is also your training load, status, and recovery levels. So it’s a good way to easily get a glance at your daily statistics. You can go in depth for each thing as well to get more detailed information if you like.
The watch has GPS, optical hear rate sensor, SpO2 monitoring, HRV tracking, sleep monitoring and a nice touchscreen to easily navigate through everything.
For my testing I had the Coros on one arm, and my Garmin on the other. I wanted to get a good comparison with one of the best of the best watches to see how it compared. I compared simple daily statistics as well as workout statistics and sleep monitoring over a few days.
The basic things like step count, floor count and heart rate were all very similar. I wouldn’t say one is better than the other in that category. They don’t go into quite as bit of a deep dive as other watches do, but you’ll get the basic information.
The sleep tracking was pretty good, but not quite as accurate as my other watch. The main thing I had a problem with is if I am sleeping and I got up for a little while to go to the bathroom, or let the dog out or something like that, sometimes it thinks that is the end of my sleep. Even if I go back to sleep after those activities. This is something that my Garmin doesn’t do. So I think that needs to be tweaked a little bit. The sleep stages and things I don’t take that much stake in because the tools that watches have to measure that aren’t that great and accurate to begin with.
The metrics for workouts were the next thing I tested. My main activities are walking, hiking and bike riding. It took a bit longer to get the heart rate and GPS lock than it did on my other watch, but it was only a matter of a few seconds and I was good to go. During the activity you were able to view all of the usual metrics that you can on basically any other watch. Compared to my Garmin, again, they were very close, nothing drastically stood out as being radically different.
The training load and recovery levels and things like that aren’t quite as good. I think the Garmin does more of a deep dive into your information to calculate those levels. So that is one place I did see quite a big difference.
As far as the smartwatch type features. You will be able to see your notifications and things like that on the watch and control music and very basic things like that, but its definitely not something like an apple watch with tons of smart features. If you’re buying something like this, you are using it more for the health metrics anyways, so the limited smart features are just a bonus!
Overall, I would say this is a solid budget watch for recording your health and workout data. The metrics are on par with watches that cost 2-3 times as much. Sure, you’re not getting a sapphire screen, or solar charging, but you will get something that does a very good job of recording your data. If that’s what you are looking for, you’d be hard pressed to find a better watch than this!

The watch itself is lightweight. I have trouble getting the charger to connect completely. Sometimes I'll connect, it'll say it's charging, and when I come back later it wasn't actually charging and has died. I have to mess with the connection for a few minutes to get it to charge. Luckily the battery lasts for a couple weeks so I don't have to deal with this much.
I'm an average person, not an elite athlete, and I do multiple sports. The workout analysis is pretty spot-on (aside from the Coros-specific algorithm, which I'll address later). The metrics and tracking work well, sleep tracking works well, etc. It's easy to read and customize the view workouts, though it's not intuitive to find where to make that customization. The watch interface isn't stellar, but it's certainly fine. The face of the watch is tough to get to appear the way I want it to, but for the price that's fine with me. I do wish there were more bands so I didn't always feel like a sporty bro. But again, for the price that's fine. Adding custom workouts and sports is possible but clunky, and it has to be done online.
My biggest issue is with the app - specifically the Coros algorithms. This watch is really ONLY for runners, despite the many sports they say they accommodate. In the app and on the watch, they show you their calculated training load and effort, which are built for runners. Can't run because you have an injury? Well, Coros will tell you after every workout that you're not working hard enough. As someone who is injured precisely because I've pushed myself too hard, this is a dangerous metric for me. If I look at my workouts in another app, I'm pleased with the results. But I have to open the Coros app to sync, and there are those low numbers and "Inefficient" staring at me. I don't like it.
If you're someone who can repeatedly see very low marks and not feel like your watch is telling you every day that you're not good enough, maybe this is totally fine for you. Personally, if I knew this before I bought the watch I would have bought a Garmin instead. Coros is not for me.

Hey Kate,
Thanks so much for the review and your feedback on the PACE 3! I wanted to give some additional details and address your concerns here.
1. We are aware that the charger can at times, be a bit finicky and we apologize! Later this week, we will have a new charging adapter that is compatible with any USB-C cable and we expect should be a bit of a better fit. If you'd like, please contact support next week (tell them Darian sent you) and we'll make sure to set you up with an adapter to try and solve that problem.
Regarding the interface, feedback received. We are working on a better onboarding process when anyone connects a new watch to show further how you can customize widgets, workouts, and more - but in the meantime you can access any of these from the Profile Page in the COROS app. We tend to keep most customization options within the COROS app as we find it to be a better experience on mobile with a larger more responsive screen to make these edits, rather than on the watch itself.
For the algorithm piece, I want to make sure I am understanding you correctly and I'll do my best here. It sounds like you may be looking at Training Status on the main page which likely is decreasing recently due to injury? If so, this is completely normal to see - whether you are a runner, cyclist, swimmer, or otherwise. This does not mean that you are inefficient in the sense that Base Fitness is decreasing, but just that overall Training Load as of recent is less than your recent 6-week average! In fact this also is not an indication that you should immediately increase Training Load again (and risk injury), but simply telling you that your overall Training Load is decreasing - just like if you were taking a break or off-period between training cycles, which is normal and recommended.
If you are speaking about the Running Efficiency score, in the same vein, low scores do not mean to imply that you should increase training or intensity. What this score specifically means is that compared to normal, your heart rate and exertion compared to pace is higher than normal. This could be due to injury, changes in weather (hotter outside), sickness, or many other factors.
I'll link a couple of articles below that may help, but I hope that this information is of assistance to you. Please let us know if you have any other questions and we'll do our best to answer - thank you for being a part of the COROS community, Kate!

The COROS PACE 3 GPS Sport Watch may not look like much but it's a terrific device. Being an avid cyclist and living in the boonies, I wanted a device that would be able to track any kind of workout I do, track my sleep as well as a few other items I have on my checklist. Speaking of lists, you have a ton of activities to choose from on this watch. You will need to download the COROS app. Now you may be asking, once I download the app then what? Through this app you can track your different activities, its all laid out in a very easy to follow way. This is the most straight forward product I've ever reviewed. The app doesn't require any kind of subscription for GPS tracking or activities. More companies need to get away from the constant money grab when it comes to today's wearable devices. I live in a pretty secluded area with terrible cell service. I haven't had any issues with the GPS signal. My only complaint about the watch is the lack of a more customizable display. The display is also kind of dark but it's also minimalist. The battery life has been superb. I've been using this watch for a week now, on a full charge and I'm currently at 52% remaining. This is also the most comfortable sports watch I've ever worn, it's extremely light and the materials are great for those of you that may sweat alot. Love this watch, go get yourself one if your in the market for a GPS/fitness watch.

The watch fits great - first of all, very comfortable. The highly adjustable wrist strap is a huge point for me as I have pretty thick wrists and watches tend to be either too loose or too tight. Given the fitness component, having a properly fitted watch on a hike, walk, or exercise session is crucial. The venting or ribbing that allows for the accurate fit also helps with sweat and makes the watch less noticable due to reduced weight.
The customizable display allows easy switching between data and time as well as altering the face of the watch to suit preference. I like to see data during a work out but want a watch that, well, looks like a watch when I am wearing it around. The app and ability to track GPS location and distances along with bread crumbing of data is also a big improvement over other options I have tried.
Charging with the included cable was quick and seems long lasting thus far. The watch is also easy to clean and the app was simple to install and use on my phone.
I am very pleased with the watch and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a full features, stylish and lightweight sports watch.

It does far more than I'm interested in, but the menus are easily customizable to filter down to what I want. Running, biking and lap swimming distance have been very accurate. The battery seems very good, but 30 days is probably not realistic - more like 10 days if you work out daily. The rotating bezel selector knob seems a bit sensitive and I've inadvertently changed the selection as I push the button. A tighter or more tactile movement would be an improvement. The Coros app is very good and it links easily to Strava and a few other workout apps. Overall, I like it and may even benefit from some of the data I've previously not had such as recovery status, resting heart rate and others. It is a nice watch! It has all the hardware a $500 Garmin watch would have! Super comfy plus it has a nice design compared to the Garmin watches. Tons of "faces" to change. And super light weighted. I am in the ecosystem of apple and I never thought I would switch to non Apple Watch but I’m definitely not going back
