Too noisy

Maybe its me asking too much from a 100 dollar PSU, but this is way too loud. It is always the loudest part in my PC, and even the loudest thing in my room except my speakers.
Still, it is a power supply. It does supply power.

Easy to install, much better than the 350 watt I had that died. Very quiet and I like the modular wiring setup. One thing I would change is instead of a daisy chain of 4 SATA connectors, at least one of the cables having just 2. Cable management can be a problem with the 4. Otherwise great PSU.

Disclaimer: Already contacted Corsair to RMA this PSU, hopefully the next one isn’t faulty.
This PSU causes my computer to restart as soon as my GPU pushes any sort of power through it. I’ve been using Corsair products for 10 years now, and if the next PSU I receive is faulty, they will never receive my business again and I’ll be sure to dissuade anyone else from buying PSU’s from them again. In the course of a few months, the price has ironically also went up $20.

Literally the worst power supply you could buy. Unless you want to hear coil whine every time you boot up, save up $20 and buy yourself an EVGA.

recently had my computer break down on me and thought maybe it was the power supply or the motherboard so i purchased this power supply which did not fix my problem. Following that i purchased a new motherboard, this did fix my problem. however with this power supply in my pc build everytime i would start a demanding game my computer would crash, realizing that this could be a power supply problem i replaced it with my old power supply and i havent had any issues since (both PSU are 750w) i returned this one no hassle im sure this was one of those rare occurences of recieving a faulty product.

What does the power my sons high end best top. As soon as it was hooked up a continual high frequency wine was emitted from the unit. Only a hearing impaired person wouldn't notice. Return the unit for a refund.

DO NOT BUY THIS. If you need more confirmation just google : "CX750M restarts". This PSU, even the one with the silver labels has a notorious issue of rebooting under heavy GPU CPU load playing any sort of graphics intensive game regardless of GPU/CPU.

ATTENTION:
This is NOT a fully modular power supply. Read up on what “modular” means. You cannot remove all of the cables from this unit. Don’t be fooled.

Hi ryoni,
That's correct, this power supply is a semi-modular unit, meaning the majority of cables are modular. The ones that are permanently attached are those which are essential to powering a system, the ATX 24-pin and the EPS 12v 4+4 pin. If you have any further questions about the PSU, please reach out to our support team: support.corsair.com

Great Power Supply

Well this is my first PC upgrade I'm working on and I purchased a Galaxy - GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card. It needed a new power supply and I wanted to get one that would be strong and last a while. A friend at Best Buy recommended going with the 750 and after reading the reviews I chose this power supply. I ordered it early on a Friday and received it Monday at the store. The reviews I read did not disappoint. This was my first time upgrading a power supply and it was really easy. I like how the cables are removable from the power supply and it keeps everything clutter free. I have a rather small computer and I still fit it in smoothly. I have an older motherboard and the 8-pin connector easily pulls apart to a 4-pin connecter to connect to my CPU. My computer is quieter than before even after installing a much better graphics card and PSU. The matte black finish easily scratched in my smaller computer shell and the sticker in the middle of the PSU is already coming off. I still give it all 5 stars!

Avoid this model PSU. Within one month of moderate use after building my own PC, the PC would randomly shut down and restart while in the middle of playing a game. The problem has since only gotten worse and worse as time has gone on (now about 4-5 months into the problem). Tested different CPUs, different graphics cards & memory trying to figure out what was causing the restarting. Turns out it was this POS PSU. So ya, don't buy it.
