Unfortunately this did not work as expected. The voltage regulator next to the CPU began to smoke! Fortunately I was able to turn it off. Tried again later and o m surprise the system booted, but under any load it would reset. Reverted to original PSU and no problems. Had to get damaged motherboard exchanged.

I have not noticed much, if any, difference in how my computer runs. My original power supply was only a 280 W unit, so now I can upgrade my PC if and when I feel like it. Much easier to install than I thought it would be and very quiet.

Worst PSU, coil whining

This is the worst PSU I have ever bought. Started coil whining noise immediately after I installed and put under 100% GPU load. Then I researched and found people complaining all over the internet. Only plus, 5.5 inches in length, the reason that I bought it for my mATX casing.

Bought it at the beginning of January. End of February now and it died. First the m.2 wasn't recognized. Turned it off and it wouldn't turn back on. Swapped out to an old spare psu and everything else is working fine. Lasted just long enough to not be returnable.

It gets real loud under minimal load. sounds like a hair dryer. Don't know if this unit was defective but returned it for an evga psu which was whisper silent even after hours of load . If you are sensitive to fan noise , please don't buy this psu.

I purchased this to replace an inadequate power supply in my son's gaming PC. Unfortunately, it will not power up; it simply pulses (acts like it is going to start and then powers right back down and will cycle in this fashion continuously. I have yet to figure out the issue. In any case, I am disappointed that the installation did not go as easy as advertised.

i built a new computer and was encountering issues when I was playing games and the computer deciding it was a fine time to reboot. Did a lot of debugging and found out that this PSU was the cause. Took it back and picked up an eVGA PSU and no more reboot issues when gaming.

Under load, this PSU will cause the system to crash and restart. After literal days of troubleshooting I found the culprit to be this PSU, which I bought brand new.

It may have been a bad unit but it was loud at all times, and even louder when playing video games. Read up on it and it seems common with this power supply.

Didn’t work from the start. Would play for a few hours then just randomly shut off. After buying I saw other people with the same problem with the specific power supply. Returned it and got a rm850x Corsair power supply and it works like a charm.
