The reason I purchased this PSU is because it was on sale and I've always wanted a modular PSU. If I could, I would give it 4.5/5 stars because it is only semi-modular. Somewhat misleading title. The main powers are not modular. Other than that, it is a great item to have in my desktop.

Its a PSU, it is semi modular, as in that aside from the connections to the motherboard itself, the accessory cabling is plugged in to use, so you only use the cables you need. The modular cables are of the flat variety, so this could be a positive or a negative, depending what your view on the differing cable configurations out there are. One word of advice, and this goes with ANY PSU that you install, please ensure you install the PSU with the cables supplied, do NOT be tempted to reuse the cables from your old PSU (going to the various drives and accessories) if this is a replacement. Sadly there is no set "standard" for the PSU side of the cable, unlike the drive end. If you try and re-use the installed existing cables, and the pin-out doesn't match on the PSU end (multi-meter can confirm if you really want to know) you could fry every component you connect to this. Even if the cable actually fits into the PSU it does not mean they are compatible by any means. Some people have come to find this out the hard way, and have thankfully shared their experience for everyone to learn (I am glad I checked before install) Installation went as you would expect, it fit my case well, is the same dimensions as the 700w supply it was replacing. I cannot attest to the longevity of this unit yet, but will try and remember to update this in the future, once it has some hours on it. Good price, good brand and an easy install. what more can you ask?

This power supply feels very sturdy, has very nice cables, and was easy to install. Good value for the money!

Purchased this Corsair Power Supply back in March as part of a planned PC Gaming Build. . before they started closing stores and slowing down deliveries on these items due to the virus. Just now integrated this into my Gaming build, it is powering an AMD AM4 3700X CPU, Radeon RX 5700 XT video card and four Disk Drives with capacity to spare. The modular design allow me to only the power connections I needed to make cable management in my Fractal R5 Case much easier.

Great modular power supply with ample plugs for all connection types, and at a good price. Also very quiet during operation.

Purchased this power supply to replace a broken part. This is a high efficiency unit - translation: it runs cool. The modular design will be handy for future expansion. My experience with Corsair products have been positive. This one is no exception.

I purchased this for a rebuild of an existing computer. It is a quality unit. The fan is quiet, the shell is built nicely. It being modular is a great benefit for those who do not have many different cables to plug in; you won't have to waste space or tuck in the unnecessary wiring won't collect dust inside the case. The only slight downside is the wiring is quite stiff and is not as flexible to reach drives that are installed closely together, but honestly, that is a pretty small flaw to an otherwise great unit.

Had all the conneections, cables etc to replace existing power supply. Easy to install and make operations. Have purchased other corsair products in past and they have always been great!

I've been using it for a few weeks and so far so good. The installation was easy and I haven't seen any odd behavior out of it. I'm not an overclocker nor running video in an SLI configuration so it's hard to say how it would perform when pushed.

Not the one I wanted but couldn't afford to completely go to water cooled. This was the best option I had to stay aircooled. All in all its a pretty good power supply it works well and does what i need it to do. Hasn't gone out on me so it obviously is able to handle the strain. Would buy it again.

Had a 3 yr old PSU die. This was on sale in the store for a great price. So far, it works. Only weirdness was that the modular plugs from the previous PSU fit, but caused the pc to not boot. no big deal, was just being lazy with them.

Super easy to install, very clean setup. Had every cable I could ever need and pretty much silent.

Very happy with it, easy replacement. Be sure to decide which peripheral cables you need to connect before installing this in the case, since it can be difficult to see which cable plugs into which socket inside an already crowded box.

Great Product. Easy to install. Provides plenty of power and runs cool and quiet

Nice solid power supply that works well with my new motherboard, processor and video card. Didn't need the floppy connectors and could use more SATA connectors, but using SATA power splitters works well. BestBuy's price is quite a bit more than getting it online elsewhere, but when you gotta have it, you gotta have it.
