Fantastic Wireless Gaming Headset

The Corsair HS80 is a new gaming wireless headset Mike combo from Corsair. The headset features 50 mm neodymium neodymium speakers with USBC charging a scroll wheel volume, a flip out mic and a suspension headband.
The suspension headband is adjustable and the ear cups have a fabric covering with memory foam padding. Overall, the comfort of these headsets is really great. There is not excessive sweating and your ears only become mildly warm after several hours of use.
The wireless headset uses Corsair slipstream dongle to allow fantastic range which is more than 50 ft from the receiver. I noticed no lag in the audio and no dropouts.
As for audio the out of box response is pretty flat with the base and the trebles being slightly lower than they should be. If you use the free Dolby Atmos for headphones enablement in your PC they Become fantastic. I recommend setting Atmos for detailed and adjusting the equalizer to slightly boost the base and treble. When adjusted in this way these headphones easily compete with more expensive brands.
The mic is a swivel down type and is not detachable it's it is omnidirectional which gives a great sound full range pickup while gaming. The only detraction from this is If you are in a noisy room, it also picks up fan noise or other surrounding noise. The Mike has a light that turns on when it's active. This can be turned off in the IQ software.
The IQ software is Corsairs software suite to control the functions of the headset as well as the RGB it. If you have other Corsair devices it can control those as well. You can turn off the RGB or adjust the brightness and color in the software. If you do not use the Dolby Atmos or are using this headphone with it PlayStation, you can use the equalizer function in the IQ software. The presets in the software can be scroll through by depressing. The volume button on the headphone. The presets were not very good compared to the atmos. Hopefully Corsair will work on these to improve them.
The ear cups are held onto the band with a swivel yoke mechanism that is metal and very sturdy. The materials used for this headset feel premium and the headset feels good on your head and in your hands. I received the white version for review and I really like them. They give the headset a good clean look. The finish on the headset does not pick up fingerprints. The position of the volume and power buttons is good and has a good feel to them with good tactile feedback.
The battery life in this headset is rated at 20 hours, I never use them for that long, but they lasted at least 10 hours without a charge. USBA to USBC cable is included it is used for charging.
Overall, this is a great headset with the sound of a more expensive at a great price. They look really good with great comfort. They do not work with Xbox only PC and PS4 or 5, i removed 1 star for that. I think Corsair has done a really good job picking the right components to make this a great addition to your gaming rig.

Corsair Flexes Their Mastery in Gaming!

These Corsair Gaming Headphones are another example of how Corsair is a master of their craft! To jump start, the audio quality is great on my PC (especially when Dolby Atmos kicks it)-I mean it is crazy good! On my PS5 the sounds are as differentiated in a battle but I am sure this is user error and something I need to tweak. The battery life is by far the best I have had in a while, I play 4-6 hours at a time 5-6 days a week and they maintain their performance and the mic will start to blink red when you need to charge them (neat little feature).
The wireless technology is ahead of the game as well. Normally I can't go into another room to grab a drink but with these I can walk across my first floor and not lose connection so I can keep chatting with people on my team. The ear cushions are also the best i've had and at first I thought cotton would be hotter than my pleather ones on another set. They are actually cooler and my ears aren't hot. I also buzz my head so I love the head band with the flexibility to mold to my head. Unlike other headsets where it feels like my head is being squeezed which causes headaches.
As far as looks, the silicone like microphone, the arm, and actual sound are great, of course tailoring the RGB lights is super fun to match my game, and the volume dial is precise and very responsive.
Overall a great headphone that I can't brag on enough and definitely your choice if you're looking to cut the cord on connected headsets!

I will be really honest, if I did not receive these as a test product I more than likely would not have tried them. That said, I am so glad I did get to test them out with my PC gaming setup. These Corsair HS80 are absolute rock stars. I switched a few years back from turtle beaches to astros. I swore by my astro a50s, but I am a converted man and now swear by these HS80.
The major factors for me here follow some simple cadences. The first one is style; these are ultra-sleek and made exceptionally well. Then the comfort is stellar and at just under thirteen ounces these are hardly noticeable even after extended game play. Then the battery during those extended game plays is wonderful. I will note that several other wireless brands have equally good battery lives. So, this is more of a box checked, than a differentiator but that box is checked. Next, we can talk about the iCUE fully synchronized app and how cool it is to fully engage all of my Corsair RGB peripherals from one source. I do think though, that this app and all the features are the real differentiator for Corsair. One thing I adamantly grew to dislike with one of my other headsets was the tweaking of the EQ. I would have to pair the headset outside of a game and then go back and play from there. With the iCUE I can tweak the EQ in game in real time so that I can maximize my audio experience and immersion. Again, that said, these have not required any real special tuning. From the factory default, I have successfully played Warzone, PUBG, MLB 22, and Assassins' Creed. Each game has been crisp, and the 50 mm deliver a full world sound matrix that allows you to actually hear things back behind or far off. I was going to mention two things that I did not like but the iCUE squashed one of them just while I was typing this review. Within the iCUE settings for the HS80 headphones you can disable the light on the microphone. I found that when the boom was glowing, that it seriously jacked with my vision, and I would have to leave the mic on mute. On that note, the microphone on the HS80 is probably the best I have ever heard. My audio play files are crazy good, hard to explain but the mic only picks up the speaker’s voice in normal environments. The lighted boom was annoying but now I know it was just user error. The one thing then that I do not like is not having a stand, but I guess I could just make one or buy one so not a deal breaker.
Like I said these have been converted to my daily drivers and I use them nonstop for movies, gaming, or just jamming out. Superior product at a less than price, 9 out of 10 highly recommend!

Corsair really does a great job of designing things after doing their research and listening to their customers. These HS80s are a great headset that leaves most of its competition in the dust.
The design is sleek and beautiful, I would rate it a 4/5. Only drawback that's a personal annoyance of mine is the way the ear cups swivel outwards instead of inwards when you orient it the proper way. They do lay down pretty flat and the ear cups are soft and comfortable. After wearing for 2 hours at a time while gaming or sitting through a meeting I can say this is one of the most comfortable headset with its adjustable floating head band. Icue software allows for you to customize the RGB logos or turn off completely, which helps if you are using in a professional setting via video chat to not look out of place.
Now for audible sound, rated at 3.5/5. It leaves a little more to be desired for an audiophile like myself. It comes with EQ settings that are setup fine. The limitation seems to be in the internal drivers themselves. Bass sucks and is hardly there. On top of that, when sound seems to be transitioning from a loud bang or boom into a voice there is a weird leveling off that is hard to describe but is detectable. Dolby Atmos being included helps the EQ settings but again, these aren't made for high end sound comparing.
The microphone on this thing is amazing. Probably one of the best ones attached to a headset that you can get your hands on in this price point. I switch between the ps5 and pc on this and everyone comments about my voice sounding great. Rating the mic a 5/5 for it's crispy clean voice.
I am a PC and ps5 gamer, so I love the rgb being included. I also have to jump on Teams meetings every now and then so being able to use this for multiple platforms by just moving the dongle around easily makes this a great investment.

Great headset but fabric around the ear cups started tearing about 6 months in. I use this headset about maybe 3 times a week. Dissappointed to see a lot of wear after light use.

Solid Gaming Headset

Fresh out of the box I lover the look of this gaming headset. Comfort is solid. I was able to adjust the inside strap to expand to my large size dome. Material on ear pads is like a flannel. Different than what I’m used to, but comfortable. I’ve gamed with it for about a week now playing PUBG and I’m satisfied with how it fits on my head during game play. I would give the overall comfort an A-/B+.
Let’s talk about the DolbyAtmos sound. Great quality in game sound, but a little week on the bass based off of personal preference. Overall very spacious sound with no problem hearing footsteps approaching. One of the only issues I was having was my teammates saying it was hard to hear me in voice chat. I had all settings to 100%. Luckily we use discord so they just increased my volume there. Battery life could use some improvement as well. I could just be spoiled with my RIG 800 which seems to have the longest battery life of all my headsets. I think overall it’s reasonably priced. Better to wait for a sale though since there are a lot of headsets to choose from out there. I really like the DolbyAtmos feature, comfort and look. If they improve the mic, I would give this 5 stars. But for now, I give it a 4

Excellent sound with no noise canceling

This nice comfortable set. The sound is crisp, clear and enclosing. No distortion at high levels. I don't like noise canceling so this set is perfect, I can hear when I'm being summoned. The cloth cups are very comfortable and softer theny old leather set. Moving up and down the mic mutes it or activates it which is nice. There are a couple of things I not fond of such as the size of the bluetooth receiver, it should be smaller or nonexistent with today's technology. I also don't like the elastic band that serves as a length adjustment. It does not come with a mic covering to prevent wind effects. The battery life is excellent, I've gone two full days without recharging. I have not detected a delay while playing games or holding conferences. It comes with the essentials, nothing fanc6: charging cable USB-C and manual. There are LED lights in both ear pieces which are pleasant and not too bright. The mic turns red when it's in mute. I can't say anything about range of bluetooth since I'm at the desk and this is for games anyway. For comfort and sound it should be in anyone's list of choices to buy.

I recently replaced my old Corsair headsets that unfortunately broke with the Corsair HS80 Wireless Headset, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in many ways.
First and foremost, the battery life on these headphones is exceptional. I rarely find myself needing to recharge them throughout the day, and when I do, they charge quickly, which is incredibly convenient.
One of my favorite features is the ability to pace around while presenting in Teams meetings, thanks to the wireless design.
The mute functionality, where simply putting the microphone up mutes the headset, is incredibly intuitive and ensures that I never accidentally broadcast unintentionally during calls.
Comfort is key when wearing headphones for long periods, and the HS80 excels in this regard. I can wear them all day without any discomfort, allowing me to stay focused and productive.
In terms of sound quality, these headphones deliver crisp and clear audio, whether I'm on a call, listening to music, or watching videos. The immersive sound adds to the overall experience and helps me stay engaged with my work.
Additionally, the USB-C charging port is a welcomed feature. Its bidirectional functionality means you don't have to fumble with plugging in the charging cable, adding to the convenience.
Overall, I highly recommend the Corsair HS80 Wireless Headset for anyone in need of a reliable and affordable wireless headset for work or leisure. It offers excellent battery life, comfort, sound quality, and intuitive features that enhance the overall user experience.

When I walked into the store I was originally looking to replace my Logitech pro wireless headphones after learning that I could not fix the usb and would need to purchase another headset. After looking at the price of the new generation of Logitech headphones I was let down, they are not cheap. North of $300. I don’t doubt that the new generation of headphones lived up to that price; however, I did not have the money. I was a little upset and told myself I’d have to “settle” for a cheaper pair of headphones. So I bought these corsair headphones with the expectation that they would be underwhelming and I was immediately proven wrong. These headphones amazed me, the sound was beautiful, the comfort was very satisfactory and the battery life was very exceptional. This is the best pair of headphones I have ever owned and I plan to purchase more in the future. The best headphones you can buy for $200 hands down!

I absolutely love this headset! As someone who has had the typical Gamer Boy Logitech headset for ages, this was an excellent upgrade. It has a fantastic battery life and recognizes when it isn't being used, so it will turn off after a while of no sound coming through to save battery. This is so nice for someone who forgets to turn things off. It's also pretty comfortable despite having an array of piercings, which was a bit surprising. Of course, both the audio and microphone quality are great, making this overall a really nice mid to high-tier headset if you aren't looking to break the bank. If you plan on buying this, definitely wait for it to go on sale. It happens pretty often and makes it a steal.

The one thing that sets Corsair headsets apart from their competition to me is the feeling of quality when you first handle them. When you take these out of the box, the aluminum and premium feeling plastic feel a step or two above most other gaming headsets I’ve used. This is my second Corsair headset and they both feel like they could be priced well above their asking price. Look and feel are all well and good, but at the end of the day performance and comfort are really the most important element of something you could be wearing for hours. The HS80s don’t disappoint in the these two categories.
In terms of performance, the audio has been exceptional weather I was on PC or PS4. The sound is very robust on the PS4 even though you don’t have any sound customization like you do on PC with Corsairs iCue software. With in game chat the other players were crystal clear. The iCue software on PC gives you multiple sound profiles to choose from or you can customize them to your liking. You also have the option of Dolby Atmos with these on PC to add that extra element of sound. The RGB lighting is also highly customizable thru iCue with not just different colors but also effects. Though the headset has a nice robust feeling to them, they’re still very comfortable when you’re wearing them. The soft fabric ear cups and the adjustable headband make it easy to get a comfortable fit. The HS80s are a premium headset but not at a premium price. The saying is definitely true, “you get what you pay for”, and in this case you get more than what you pay for!

I recently purchased a high end gaming laptop so I was excited to get my hands on this wireless headset for gaming. The headset itself feels very premium. The headband is very strong yet flexible and comfortable. The ear pads are also very soft and comfortable but they did get my ears warm in my experience after a couple of hours of use. There is no 3.5mm input on these so it’ll be strictly wireless with the included dongle. Corsair provides software that you can download to your PC to tweak the EQ and provides different presets for gaming, movies, music, and competitive shooters. The competitive shooter setting was the most “boring” to my ears and sounded pretty flat. I had to turn on 3D audio on fortnite to get a sense of where footsteps and gunfire was coming from. I have to say that I didn’t hear much difference when changing presets on the PC. The good thing is that Corsair can update the software and improve upon this in the future or perhaps I need to dig into the software and mess with the settings some more. That being said.. they do sound pretty good though. Especially at higher volumes. When playing Resident Evil 2 I could tell which direction Mr X was coming at me from before he burst through the door lol. His heavy footsteps sounded deep and made the game immersive and anxiety inducing :D Fortnite for whatever reason sounded unimpressive through these headphones. It could just be the game itself. Apex Legends, modern warfare , and resident evil 2 and 8 sounded great and immersive with these headphones. They provide good passive sound cancellation. One thing to note is that my friends all told me that my voice sounded very low when chatting on the PS4 with this headset. I’m not sure why. I tried raising my microphone volume in setting and I had to put it at the highest and they still told me I sounded lower than usual. I did like that the mic will mute by flipping the boom upward. But you can’t bend it and place it closer to your mouth. Perhaps that is why I sounded lower. I might have to speak louder. All in all… I would recommend this headset if you are looking for an affordable , comfortable wireless headset that sounds very good and is compatible with Dolby atmos.

50mm drivers produce excellent sound, bass is very solid, mid range and voice is clear, high tone is natural. Mic also produces excellent studio quality sound, very clear and no breathing noise or keyboard typing noise. It comes with free Dolby Atmos spatial audio.
Setting up the headset is very easy, just plug and play and the headset is ready to use. Only download and install iCUE if you want to update the device or customize the device. To use Dolby Atmos, go to Windows Store and install Dolby Access.
Excellent wireless range, tested about 40 feet, could be further if I have line of sight. Can be used wirelessly via 2.4GHz radio wave or use the included USB cable.
Battery life is also very good, I get 9 hours of use per charge. I suspect over time I will get even longer battery life.
I like that the included USB cable is 1.8m long, it is long enough to charge the headset while using the headset.
Floating headband is very comfortable. Ear cups feel like regular foam, not memory foam, it is soft and comfortable, however the headset is a bit small and I can feel both cups pressing on my head and becomes uncomfortable because I am wearing glasses. I don't have a big head, so if you have a big head, it might be uncomfortable. I hope after a while it will not be so tight.
Watching Dolby Atmos movie is very satisfying because of the excellent sound quality. For games, I only tested it with Shadow of the Tomb Raider because that is the only game I have that supports Dolby Atmos. I can pinpoint the source of the sound and it makes playing the game more immersive.

Got a pair of these, for myself and the spouse. We both use these daily as well as the occasional use for WFH. I love the sound quality and features, they are very comfortable to wear long term. We have had these about 2 years now and the only real issue we have is the wireless connection problem that has been mentioned. The only resolution that seems to help is setting the audio output to 2ch 48000hz in your sound settings, annoyingly every time you power them on. Wired is flawless, but we specifically chose these to be wire free. The connectivity issue can be REALLY annoying so be weary, and with that in mind I would only get these on sale, full price is a bit much for an issue that they can not seem to fix with any of their updates.

The Corsair HS80 Pro wireless headphones is an excellent set of headphones that is best used without the accompanying ICue software. I've tested a ton of gaming headsets and in my opinion, the HS80's are a great mix of comfort, build quality, sound quality and affordability.
Some of the features that make these great are the soft foam ear cups, onboard volume slider, folding microphone and Dolby Atmos sound built in. Best of all this headset is completely wireless.
As for the sound quality, they sound amazing! The factory tuning of the 50MM drivers is spot on. It perfectly balances the highs, mids and lows to give you the best sound while both gaming or listening to music. Just make sure you download the Dolby access app from the Microsoft store.
The only negative I found about these headphones is that there is no Bluetooth and it only uses USB A for the slipstream dongle or USB cable. So if your computer fully embraced USB C you will be living the hub life.
With all that being said, if you are looking for a great set of gaming headphones give these a shot. You won't be disappointed.

OMG! These headsets are the best of the best of Corsair. No doubt that Corsair has long listened to customers and developed these headsets to prove that HS80 is designed and built based on durability and comfort, and sound quality. Design is much improved as I love this HS80 design over the predecessors in terms of design as the HS80 is an ear-shaped design that makes sense that covers the entire ears without causing any pressure or heat. Hinges are also durable, and aluminum is well-constructed that allows the ear cups to swivel 90 degrees to rest on the collarbone, giving my head the freedom to move in both directions. The flexible headband is adjustable. The headband was too tight out of the box, so I had to pull off the velcro strips and loosen them, which gave me more comfort to the extent of having a gaming session for 8 hours without any discomfort feeling. The connection can be via USB-C cable or USB dongle to use on PC and PlayStation. The mic is also much improved and competes with other gaming headsets. The clarity of voice is noticeable as when I played, my friends never complained. In contrast, they realized that I'm using new headsets. I like the light indicator of the mic; if the mic is flipped down (unmuted), it is white with a voice prompt, while it is red (muted) when flipped up. The sound quality is impressive, especially with Dolby Atmos onboard. The separation of sounds reveals why Dolby Atmos is a significant need; I'm able to hear who is coming behind me and footsteps, gunshots, also playing online gives me a direction of which player is talking. I had to go to the Microsoft Store on PC and downloaded the Dolby application, and then I connected the headsets via cable, and Dolby settings pope up. The application provides various EQs that add more sound choices and enhance the gaming experience. RGB is subtle but gorgeous, it is customizable through Corsair ICUE, but color effects are only available when connected to a PC. When connected to PlayStation, is it solid while only. Charging via USB-C is exactly what I have been looking for, one cable for most of my devices. These headsets are premium, premium, & premium, and I'm so happy with them—best of the best. Bing THANK YOU, Corsair.

My friend used to use his phone to play games with us, and it was very annoying. To be honest. I ended up purchasing this for him as a gift and it’s absolutely amazing the wireless capabilities, the battery, life, the overall comfort, adjustable, head strap, microphone, even all sound absolutely amazing and feel great too. It looks good it’s not too bulky. It doesn’t get in the way the ability to just shut the mike off by flipping it up is a must have! If you have any questions about this thing, ask anybody at a Best Buy they are super knowledgeable.

I love almost everything about the HS80. Out of headsets I've used from Astro, Steelseries, and Razer it's by far my favorite in terms of sound and mic quality and it's up there in terms of comfort. I just wish the battery life was better and that's the only thing keeping me from giving it a full 5-star rating.
I love the design of the HS80's compared to the older Corsair headsets (I still like the older headsets too though). It has an understated professional look that I really appreciate ad the built-in illumination isn't too crazy. The materials are mostly plastic, but the construction is very high quality and keeps everything lightweight. It's got the 'ski goggle' style headband that I love so much from the Steelseries headsets and the foam earpads breathe well. The flip-down microphone holds its position well, though I've noticed it's loosened up ever so slightly in the months I've had it. It's nowhere near the point of it becoming unstable, but something to keep any eye on longterm.
In the box you get the headset, a wireless receiver, and a charging cable that also pulls double duty for wired usage. The receiver is on the slightly larger side compared to other dongles I've used, but it's nothing egregious and it has an LED light indicate whether or not the headset is connected which is nice. The setup and settings management is done via Corsair's iCUE software. I personal find Corsair's software to be a little clunky, but it works well enough for adjusting the settings on the headset.
Wirelessly you get 24-bit 48kHz and 96kHz wired. I can't say if I really notice the difference compared to 16-bit 44kHz on other headsets, but it sounds great in either scenario for a variety of content. Most recently I have switched from playing Halo on my Xbox with a Steelseries Arctis 7X to playing on my PC with the HS80, using Dolby Atmos in both situations, and I was very surprised at how much more easily I could identify what was going on around me. The headset gets plenty loud too and in general I'm below 50% volume most of the time, which is not something I can say about a lot of other headsets. The connection wirelessly is mostly solid; I noticed some interference having the receiver connected directly to the front of my PC from time to time, but moving it to the USB port on my keyboard eliminated that issue. The microphone is incredible and the best I've heard on any headset I've used. It rivals the Blue condenser mics I have even. It does let in a fair amount of background noise though, so be aware of that.
My only real problem with the headset is its battery life. Most other wireless headsets I've used I don't really think about the battery life while I'm using them and with the HS80's I do. The battery will frequently go from full to 'Medium' in a single gaming session (maybe ~2-3 hours) and it seems like I'm only getting around 10-12 hours before I need to plug them in to charge. It's not the worst, but it's bad enough that it's always something that's in the back of my head. It's a shame since the quoted battery life of 20 hours would put it in line with other wireless headsets I've used, but it definitely does not keep up with them. At least the headset can still be used in a wired mode, so you're not completely out of luck when the battery dies.
Despite my issues with the battery life the HS80 is my new favorite headset. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a higher-end wireless headset as long as you can cope with the below-average battery life.

The Corsair HS80 RGB headset is a well made and versatile wireless headset. Corsair brings a sold mid-range gaming offering worth checking out. The design is simple, and the controls are easy to use. The RGB is typical of a “gaming” style headset and can be managed with the Corsair iCue software. A fold up microphone and an adjustable floating headband round out the sleek design.
Overall, the sound quality was decent on both the mic and audio. Both are clear and the audio provides punch and clarity. They wont wow you but they will provide a solid gaming and music experience. The iCue software comes with an adjustable EQ and audio profiles.
Where these really shine is comfort. Hands down some of the most comfortable gaming cans around! The ear cups provide solid coverage, and the material is soft and breathable. I spent a good amount of time gaming with these and managed to avoid any sweaty or cramped ears – that can’t be said about a lot of headsets out there.
If you’re a fan of Corsair, use iCue and/or just want an incredibly comfortable gaming headset – the HS80 might be the set for you.

I have to say I'm really surprised that the reviews on these aren't much higher.
I just did a geek squad replacement of my OG virtuosos due to a problem they started having after a whole year of use.
I'm a big tech geek so I love new device so I thought I would try this new model and I couldn't be happier.
The things I didn't really like about my virtuoso we're all addressed in these new hs80s.
They are more ear shaped versus round which IMHO is a way better design.
The pads are thicker than my old ones so the comfort is a big upgrade.
I was surprised the foam was softer than the pleather. They seem to rest on your head much nicer than the virtuoso ones and don't apply as much pressure over the top of your head over long use.
Don't get me wrong, I loved my virtuosos but these are lighter, don't hurt your head after a few hours, isolate sound wayyyy better and at the same time still allow you to hear outside a small amount (which I prefer).
I also really love the fact that I can just flip the mic out of the way.
Sound quality is awesome and the EQ settings give me some adjustments to what I am doing.
I first put them on and joined my mythic plus group on WoW in discord and immediately loved them. The difference was night and day with how clear and smooth the sound was when listening to teammates talk. Less outside noise than the virtuoso but still able to hear if I kept the volume down.
I did turn them up to 100 and play some good electro music, and I felt like I didn't want to take them off.
I feel very confident in saying I could use these all day and I've only used them for about 5 hours straight so far.
If you look at a lot of YouTube videos like I did you will see a common thing with Corsair headphones. The clarity is fantastic. I highly recommend if you give them a chance you will like them. Best buy has a good return policy so why not right? I try stuff all the time, most of the stuff I keep and these are no exception. I want to pickup a second pair that I can take to my office but I may just get a nice carrying case so I can enjoy them everyday everywhere.
Corsair killed it with these headphones. I think the only possible negative is that if your head height or width is a bit bigger than mine, the strap adjustments may not go far enough. I've got a larger chin with a beard and a more oval shaped head profile so I'd say try the fit first but even if they were a little snug, the comfort of the ear cups might still make up for that. They feel so good, I don't want to stop using them.
