Very uncomfortable after a short amount of time!

I want to start of by saying this is the first review I have ever written for an item I've purchased before that's how strong I feel about this review. I've been in the market for a wireless headset for a bit now, before I purchased these I had owned two pairs of Hyperx cloud 2's. The first one I owned for a little under 4 years and my second pair after the cable caused the mic to cut out for over 2 years (own going). I started looking at these once the urge to cut the cable grew and the wearables like the earcups and headband started to wear out. Pro's: Price (When discounted!): I paid $89.99 for mine during a sale, this seems to be a somewhat common sale and other reviews have also stated this. I would absolutely not pay the $179.99 these are priced normally at, new or refurb's. Microphone: Good for a wireless headset, no complains on discord calls. Has a red led for when you're muted and a button on the mic, also removeable. Build quality / features: Feels and looks good, can't tell it was refurbished. This is one of the only headsets I could find with A good mic that's removeable with a led indicator, non-plasticky gamer look that's black, usb-c, 7.1 audio. The Bad: My god these get uncomfortable after a very short amount of time. When I first got these I went a few hours kind of pushing through the pain they caused my ears because I was still excited about them. Now just a few days later it's hard to wear them more than 1 hour without needing to take them off briefly or replugging in my cloud 2's to give me ears a break, yes you read that right I'm keeping my old headset on it's stand so I can still use it due to the pain! Some of the pain might be caused due to the weight, which admittedly is because of the build quality I praised but putting my cloud 2's back on its a huge difference in weight and comfort! This doesn't seem to be a issue just for me as looking online it's very apparent and some people stating its hard to find a headset more comfortable than the virtuoso's. For reference I have smaller ears and an average head size. I looked and some people replace the earpads with aftermarket ones but I'm not sure I want to spend the extra money and as test using my cloud 2 earcups with the pressure of the headset holding them in place made almost no difference for me. I have no idea why these have so many good complements for comfort, looking online it's very clear I'm not the only one complaining. Audio quality / software: Right out of the box these were a huge disappointment coming from the cloud 2's, I'm not a audio file or anything but geeez these sounded bad. I messed around with the eq sliders to find a decent quality sound for me but it's still not where I would like it compared to the cloud's but almost there and probably should be expected due to the wireless nature. And man Icue what a bad experience, absolute garbage! Due to the sound quality being so bad without changing the eq settings it's basically required but man I wish it wasn't. Even the simple things you think like showing battery level is annoying like "high" instead of a actual value. My main complaint with the software though is it's a huge resource hog, I've seen it using .5gb, why does it need half a gigabyte of ram! Battery life / range: Not great even with all the rgb disabled it's hard to get two days use of of them, to be fair though it could be bad software (actually knowing Icue most likely true). I had the voice tell me it was low and I continued to use them for over another hour before it said it another two times but I shortly after stopped using my pc and charged them. Range wasn't very good either, 15ft away from my pc with one wall and that's about it, notable drop of in audio quality 5-10ft away, only good really if being used in the same room as your pc. Honestly even with the not great battery life and range, having to deal with Icue and audio almost as good as my cloud 2's I would still keep these due to the price I paid, nothing comes close for the price and features. But man they are just so uncomfortable after 30 minutes to a hour. I can get used to the audio being a little worse but with my ears in physical pain I'm pretty sure I will be returning these. (Break down bar's based off my purchase price not msrp).

Headphones sound good and have good connectivity. One annoying thing is no obvious battery life indicator. I appreciate the quick mute and mute indicator for conference calls. The ear cushion has split after about 18 months, and they get hot after over an hour of use, so my ears need a break. I wish they were more comfortable for the price.

Couldn’t be happier with these! I got them for use with my ps5, and was a little weary about them being refurbished. Those worries were quickly put to rest when I got them tho. They can be wireless via the usb dongle, or come with the aux 3.5 to 3.5 wire to plug directly into the controller. The sound is amazing, and to get them for $90 was a steal!

So, I love finding a deal with Open Box at Best Buy. Got this headset for about $90 and it came in perfect condition as far as I can tell, maybe missing a few accessories? Not sure. Overall, the headset is great. A bit heavier than my old RIG 800LX, but the build quality is infinitely better. Been using this headset everyday (work and gaming) for over a year now, maybe more, and the cushion around the headband is still as comfortable as every. I don't get fatique after wearing for a long time, and there are definitely days I am wearing them for 10+ hours. The microphone is good for a headset mic. I also use a studio microphone with my computer so obviously it cant compare in audio quality there, but it is definitely a huge upgrade from my old headset. Also love that it has a mic mute button and not a boom arm so you don't have to worry about loose solder and crackling after using it for a while. Anyway, for $90 I am wayyyyyy satisfied with my purchase. For the retail $220? I think there may be better headphones out there at that price, but I love Corsair products, and they work great with iCue.

Battery didn’t last as much as I thought it would. The headset is a little tight for my head, even when completely extended. Sound quality is very good. Issue I have is that I expected the refurbished to come with the headset holder but it did not. However, for the price, it is very good.

Overall happy with this purchase. The microphone is pretty clear and if not needed can be easily removed. The sound from the headphones is decent, but not the greatest. With the proper software, the sound can probably be pretty good. The iCue software is very limited for audio adjustments. It seems more geared to controlling RGB effects than anything else. The dial volume is a nice touch and much easier to use then having to click on screen to adjust volume. And switching from wireless to wired (via USB) happens smoothly.

I was actually looking at a different set of Corsair headphones, a have a set of wired steelseries, and a set of wired Razer headphones, the steelseries started to give me problems, I have to computer systems and one is all Corsair, so I kinda wanted something that would fit right in, and these do, they are very comfortable, I love that I can connect three different ways, 3.5mm cord, USB cord,or wireless, I bought the refurbished ones at just over $90, and you would never know they were refurbished, except for the packaging, everything was included. I would recommend these.

One of the best looking and solid headphone on the market. Did I tell you it also sounds great? It has 50mm drivers. This headset sounds better than my Sony WH1000XM4; therefore, I use it to listen to the music and not for gaming, despite it is a "gaming headset." The only difference between the Sony and most others is that this one does not have Bluetooth connection, ANC, and music controls - such as FF REW, STOP, etc. Everything has to be done via computer and tablet. But, the sound it produces can't be beat!. Highly recommend. BTW, the renewed unit looked brand new, but it did not included the case.

Although refurbished, they work perfectly. Great sound and they look awesome with the lights on the mic and ear pieces. Which can be controlled through the iCue app. Only missing item is the protective case that's described in the listing. BTW these do not work directly with Xbox One consoles. The listing should be clearer about it.

Pros 1. Great Audio 2. Comfie Seating on my head 3. Mic work very well Cons 1. No Caring Case, nor instructions 2. Constant Re PAIRing with PC 3. Waking from sleep mode, PC and Headset loose sync completely audio feature disabled; after resync still must REBOOT PC to reenable audio. My first Real Gaming Headset, I have a screaming PC. I can run multi instances of ANY MMO , so i Know its not my pc. For what I paid im feeling i might as well have bought some cheapo's and not deal with the above

So far it has been a great headset. Just picked it up today. My only issue so far and I don't know it its because I got a refurbished headset, but the little switch on the bottom tends to rub against my sweater while at my desk. The switch isn't a firm switch it kind of wiggles. So when it wiggles you can hear it in the right ear piece. A little annoying, but so far not a deal breaker. Won't know until the future if this would sway my decision on them. You also have to go into the iCue software in order to check the charge level on the headset and to enable the option to see the battery level on your task bar. The RGB in the mic itself doesn't see to be customizable. So far its been a solid green and doesn't seem to be able to change it with the outer ear pieces.
