Corsair Gaming - Strafe Mechanical Gaming Keyboard: Pro's: 100% Anti-Ghosting, Solid Construction, Near Silent Keystrokes, USB port on Keyboard, Comes with lots of extra keys and a handy tool that makes removing and installing them VERY easy. Con's: The User Interface Software that came with it is supposed to be able to update drivers and firmware but has failed to work every time I've tried... So, I've had to DL all updates directly from Corsair website (Lost a star for that one). Wish it were RGB or simply a white backlighting scheme, it has red backlighting and only the brightness can be controlled from the user interface software, but I knew that when I bought it. Not really a "Con" but be aware that it has a VERY THICK cable that's VERY rigid and VERY heavy, just keep that in mind when choosing USB ports to plug it into your PC. Other Thoughts: This was my first Mechanical Keyboard and I'm very happy with the purchase. The price to quality ratio makes this an excellent choice for gamers.

So I was getting tired of my razer chiklet keyboard and being a college student who types a lot and enjoys gaming, I wanted a nice mechanical keyboard to use that was suitable to my needs. The amount of typos I did with the ckicklet keyboard was about 10-20 per page. I type fast and sometimes miss the point where the key registers. With the corsair Brown Cherry Strafe my typos have gone down to a max of 8 and that's on a bad day. On to the gaming, this keyboard does come with those fancy A,S,D,W keys and honestly they are very nice to have and they don't hurt the gaming experience at all, but I can't say they help, but it does help my fingers know where they are. Lighting is about the main complaint. Simply by having only the G,V,T keys also light up the O,L, and the ',' keys which is pretty irritating even though I have not activated them via the software. Other than that this keyboard is fairly amazing. The build quality is nice and I like the bit of clicky that comes with the brown cherry keys. I would Highly recommend this if you are a college student especially if you want a balance between typing and gameing

Corsair - Strafe Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Pros: Solid, well built keyboard with a very beefy (8guage?) USB cord. Keystrokes are smooth, almost silent, and not as "clicky" as expected. Adjustable backlighting is very nice (Red only). Includes extra sets of "gaming" keys, along with a tool that makes them easy to replace. A true ANTI-GHOSTING keyboard. Cons: Software/firmware updates keep failing through keyboard software, have to DL them directly from Corsair website... -1 star for that. The "beefy" cord, is a little too beefy... Very heavy and rigid, which puts a great deal of stress on the USB port. The weight of the cord WILL pull itself out from horizontal ports near the top of your PC, if allowed to dangle. No stars deducted for this "con", I like that it's beefy, however buyers should be aware of it. Overall: Excellent Anti-Ghosting/Mechanical Keyboard, Corsair name and ultra-high quality, at a price that doesn't kick you in the wallet.

I prefer cherry brown for my mechanical keyboard. This keyboard is good for both gaming and typing.

There may be better mechanical keyboards, but not at this price. Cherry MX Brown is a nice middle road that I am personally used to, but choosing the keys (Blue, etc.) is really a personal preference. I bought one for my office and one for my home office and have no regrets. I would probably have preferred a blue LED backlight, but don't mind the red.
