I've been using the Razer Black Window Ultimate gaming keyboard for about two years now. I wanted to go with a chroma keyboard, but didn't want to pay chroma prices.
So, I found the Corsair Strafe Silent, and I've been extremely happy. I type very hard, so you can hear me all over the house with the Razer keyboard, yet this one I get the full benefits of a mechanical without the noise.
Full customization possibilities with the color of the keyboard to suit every gaming need. Also, a huge benefit is keeping this thing clean. The keys are off of the keyboard, so nothing gets stuck underneath them. A little canned air, and you're good.
For $99 on sale, this is A HUGE value for the price.

So I almost bought a Razer keyboard until I had an epiphany... Razer is to gaming, as Beats is to music. Marketing is great, it gets the job done, but it's overpriced for what you get (because of marketing). Someone recommended Corsair and I am SO thankful. The keys don't click, and I thought I wouldn't like it... but 10 minutes in and I loved it. Is the first mechanical keyboard I have owned personally, but it's better than most I have tried. Also, the software for the color lighting gives you unlimited customization. Plus, there's a community where you can download other users' color profiles. Haven't tried their mouse, but I can highly recommend this brand as a whole

I was looking for over a week for the PERFECT Keyboard for my FPS Gaming fix. This was by far the BEST choice and highly recommended product that Best Buy carried. The keys are amazing. The extra grip buttons that come with the keytboard for ASDERQFW Keys are AMAZING.

I bought this keyboard because my Logitech G15 developed a short and would constantly press the G3 key. I decided not to buy another Logitech board because they never updated their software. I have a nice Corsair PC case and thought I'd try one of their keyboards.
Pros: the keys feel great, the handrest is at an awesome angle, and the lights aren't bad (often they're so gaudy).
Cons: Even though this model is supposed to be silent, it's very clacky. Specifically in the space bar, the backspace, and the enter key. Basically if the key is more than one key width it clacks with a plasticky snick sound. It also feels like the keys are spaced a little strangely, although it might be their height. Either way, I find this key to be terrible for writing. Lastly, sometimes keys will ghost press and I'll get multiple letters for a single stroke.
Bottom line: great for gaming. Not so great for writing anything more than a few words at a time.

I am loving this keyboard so far. Very nice to use for gaming and I have no issues typing on this keyboard. I like how easy it is to edit the profiles and there are many lighting profiles already out there to use. I'd most definitely buy another Corsair keyboard in the future.

I went through an array of keyboards before giving this one a go. This model was actually cheaper and had less features than others I had tried. Although it's minimalist it really just works! The key presses feel crisp. And it is very durable (so far). This keyboard also comes with replacement keys that have textured areas and a tool to assist you with removing the keys. You can download the corsair utility engine software which you can use to customize the different colors, and can even choose to lock stuff like alt tab or the windows key.

The programmable LEDs are very entertaining. When we first purchased it, we spent a good two hours just trying different effects. The keyboard seems to have solid build quality and the gaming keys are a nice way to provide a tactile difference between keys. I wouldn't buy this for the full $160 though; wait for a sale and snag it for $120 to $140.

I went from a Logitech 105s, then to a Corsair K70 RGB. I noticed the keys were too stiff for my liking along with being extremely loud. I went to the Corsair Strafe and noticed the sound difference and an easier key to push while typing hours on end.

Was looking for a mechanical keyboard that wouldn't drive me to go insane with the clickyness of the keys, and the silent keys on this are fantastic! RGB is always a plus, and it's really fitting into my setup.

Let me just say the keys on this are amazing. I love the mechanical feel but does not have that mechanical sound. There's not much of a response when you press a key but to me this produces a much smoother feel. The RGB is great with many profiles to chose from stock also at Corsairs website there are many user uploaded themes I was floored.
-Cons some of the colors can appear a little off.. For example the white isn't pure white its got more of a blue hue to it which is tolerable. Also there are two colors in the top right that are always white/red i believe this is a profile identifier. You can see in the picture the "1" "A" and I guess thats the caps lock key in the top right.. This is the only real reason I remove a star. If you can handle that its great. Comes with textured WASD keys so you can always feel where your fingers are for gaming.

I have been having pain in my fingers using a traditional keyboard. And wanted to get a mechanical board. I found that many of the alternatives at Best Buy were too clicky and would likely be too noisy. However, this Corsair MX Silent was about the same sound as a mebrane keyboard but had the fluid key response that I wanted from a mechanical keyboard. The lighting looks spectacular and with the amount of customization available in the software I feel that I can truly change it however I desire!

The mechanical switches are not as loud as my backlit membrane keyboard. I have not had time to setup much beyond the lighting to match on the keyboard and RGB mouse. No complaints for the price!

The leds on this keyboard are bright and the colors look rich, better lighting than the k70 IMO. The Cherry silent switches are nice and relatively quiet. The wrist rest is also a must. Haven't had a single issue with this product, my only minor complaint is that the USB covers on the ends on the chord are bright yellow and look a bit silly, I would have prefered they made them black, but not a real issue. Other than that, I would recommend this keyboard, especially if you like RBG.

I find that I can type quickly and accurately with the new keyboard. I like that back lighting. It just is cool. I don't do any games, but just wanted a good keyboard that had a great feel to the keys. This is it.

K70s don't have cherry MX silent. You can buy this one at much cheaper price and play your favorite game even when your cat is sleeping. +) cherry MX silent has fancier RGB then normal MX.

I bought this after using my Ducky with MX Reds for a while, and I prefer Red switches over the others. I found these with RGB so I had to get it, and I've had it for a month now and couldn't be happier.
