Vengeance DDR5 32GB review

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The first time I went into the store to buy laptop memory, I told the sales person I was looking for memory for my gaming laptop. However, I made a mistake and didn't say "gaming laptop", instead mentioned the model of my laptop. I was fairly inexperienced with buying memory for a laptop, so I accepted the item the sales person recommended. Well, the problem was, they didn't ask additional questions to confirm exactly what kind of memory I needed, and instead by memory sticks for a PC. As soon as I got home, and opened it up, I realized the mistake and had to return it of course. I returned it, and bout the correct stick of ram, but again, when I asked the sales person about options, they just grabbed 1 32GB stick. After I got home, opened the laptop, and realized there was two slots I could put memory in, I did a little research on line, and found that due to dual channel it is better to have 2 16GB of ram, than 1 32GB. So, I returned to the store, and returned it and got 2 16 GB sticks. The first thing I would say about this review is, Best Buy, you would save yourself money with returns, by making sure your sales people be a little more inquisitive, and help the customer confirm exactly what they need and want. Unfortunately, after all of that, and getting the 2 sticks of 16GB ram installed, it still didn't boost my gaming laptop enough to handle what I was trying to do with some VR modding. To pay over $400 for just 32GBs of ram and it not boost performance enough is why I gave this product 2 starts, and because of the lack of expert help at Best Buy.
