Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Vengeance i7200 gaming PC's graphics processing unit (GPU), noting its ability to maintain cool temperatures even during demanding games. However, many customers report significant performance issues, including random shutdowns and reboots during gameplay, rendering the system unusable for its intended purpose. These problems make the PC unreliable for gaming. The off-the-shelf components and fast SSD are also mentioned as positive aspects.

Specs are amazing.. Tried building one on different sites but had to lower RAM and Storage to get it at this price so this was just perfect. Only tested 2 games so far, Warzone getting 160+ FPS on HIGH 1080P & some settings are set on ULTRA so even better. CSGO FPS won't pop up for some reason but if I am getting 160+ on warzone CSGO isn't going to be a problem. No issues thus far. GPU and CPU also stayed cool when playing warzone.

    Solved Shutdown/Restart Issue

4 stars because Corsair should have done this before shipping these. To fix the issue, you need to do a BIOS update for the motherboard, but you have to download the BIOS update from the corsair page for this PC. I've linked it below. The one's on MSIs website won't even run. I also linked MSI's guide for updating BIOS. That said, this PC is a beast for 1440p gaming. Mine shipped with an overclocked Gigabyte 3070. Everything but the motherboard, gpu, and cpu(obviously) are off the shelf parts. Outside of dropping the ball with the BIOS update, which I'm sure has caused a lot if disappointment and frustration fir many, it's all quality stuff. Seeing as I've seen them respond, I would hope that Corsair would get ahead of this and install the proper BIOS before shipping these to store, because it really is a fantastic product. I'm sure you and best buy are sick of returns and having a stock of open box items.

    Restarting Issue

Having the same random reboot/restart issue that others have reported here. When checking Windows Event Viewer, I saw that I was having Event ID 41 Kernel Power at each instance of a random reboot. This is a power related issue, so I thought the problem might be my surge protector, or possibly the power supply provided with the system. I replaced the included 750 Watt power supply with a brand new Corsair RM1000x from Best Buy, thinking that would solve the problem. No dice, still having the same restarting issues that others have reported here. Some also stated that it could be a problem with iCue forcing the computer to emergency shutdown when the GPU reaches 70 degrees, but I turned that setting off as well and am still experiencing the issue. I’ve done every power-user troubleshooting tip that I can imagine at this point. I am currently taking an online class and need the system (for as long as it stays on!) to do my work. Once I am finished with the class, I will reinstall Windows from scratch and see if that resolves the issue. Barring that being the fix, I will have to return this system. Another annoyance is that I cannot configure the system to wake from USB (my mouse or keyboard). The options in the BIOS for “Wake Up Event Setup” are entirely grayed out, with no internet resources being of any help to this point. Given that so many people are having the issue, I almost wonder if there is a missing standoff somewhere and that is causing an electrical short in the system. I’m stumped.

This is a solid system in components. I've had no lock ups or kicked from a game. My issue is end build. Cable routing I question. My first computer was more thought out. Why not include the PSU cables. I cant add a hard rive without purchasing additional cables. If I keep it I'll re route this mess. Dell does a better job. Just hoped for more quality in workmanship and detail. If you're building these all the same get instructions to the builders to be consistent. I've personally seen 4 and all of the same builds and all completely different cable routing. Any way nice components other than the generic antennas sent and not the motherboard provided that have ability with a cable to move. Corsair must have a dumpster full somewhere.

The boot time is a tad bit slow (by like seconds) but runs well and shockingly quiet. I haven't pushed it to see what it can really do yet, but it runs Civ VI well. The LEDs are pretty, but they struggle with deep purple. The program for them isn't the most straight forward either.

Purchased this for my son who wanted a nice gaming system. His system was to replace an iBuyPower that kept turning off when he played intensive games. Turns out this Corsair reboots itself during intensive gaming. Ended up returning it as it was twice the price of the IBuyPower for the same effect.

Worked great for the first week. Then was unable to play games because after 5 minutes - 1 hour of playtime, the screen would go blank with the audio going for about 2 seconds afterwards. Would then restart the computer. Looked it up and others are having this problem and Corsair has no answer to this problem. Had to return while I could, which sucks cause everything was great until this started to happen.

Just like the others said, it randomly shuts down in the middle of tasks. I’ve built all of my other computers but decided to get a prebuilt and even I couldn’t figure out why it was randomly restarting. On occasion it would shut down an application that I was in while I was working.

Just got this PC a few days ago and finally got around to playing my first game of Apex Legends and not even 10 minutes into the game...both my monitors turned off and the PC rebooted and could not start back up automatically. I had to do a hard shutdown and turn the PC back on again. I should have listened to the reviews and spend my money else where!

Please do NOT buy this pc. Read the other reviews… it randomly shuts off. The pc can just be idling, no high stress gaming and it will restart on its own. Blue screen events are tracked on its Corsair diagnostics app, but there is nothing you can do to fix it without replacing parts. You’d be better off building your own rig with this price tag…

This has been the first PC, I have bought and the worse one, the computer would randomly shut down, I contacted Corsair, they gave me random fix's that never worked, and I have been struggling for a month to get a replacement for this horrid machine; I would not recommend this machine to anyone; this was intend as a gift and has been a nightmare to deal with, Corsair giving me random fixes that only would Band-Aid the issue to seemingly make it past the date of non-refundability for Best Buy, only to have Corsair constantly lie to you about the steps they are taking to fix this issue, go with something different please!

Computer seemed fine for a day or two but soon started shutting down randomly. Screen would go blank, it would power off and then restart after a short while - this occurred both while playing games and also streaming video. Thought the system might be overheating (although the tasks being performed at the time shouldn't have been that taxing on the system) but didn't see any evidence of that. Sounds like others have had similar issues. Will update if there is a resolution to this issue.
