I bought this rig to replace my gaming laptop. Looking back, I totally regret this decision. Approximately a month after purchase, the computer started to exhibit erratic behavior, repeatedly turning off and on. On occasions, it would boot up normally only to shut down after about five minutes. I reached out to Corsair for support, who suggested the issue could be a faulty power supply or motherboard. They recommended returning the product to Best Buy as it was still within the 60-day return period. The computer worked great for the first 30 days, however, the issues that started to pop-up after this period turned what seemed like a great purchase into a major disappointment.

I got it home and it didn't even work. The partitions weren't set up correctly so the windows system wouldn't boot. Ended up trading it in for a cheaper PC that works way better and had more storage.

This is probably one of the best entries into a gaming desktop PC out there without going overboard into the big $$$$ range. Everything about the Corsair Vengeance i7400 13th Gen i5 with RTX 3070 screams quality. For most, a gaming PC that is absolutely top of the line is not an option. They can run several thousand dollars. For others, they might like to build a PC. Sounds fun, but it's a lot of work. So this is where this PC fits nicely. It isn't the best of the best, but it's more than most need. And as far as the components it's what you might build yourself anyways. The case is a Corsair 4000 series. If you know anything about gaming PC's then you know this is one of the highest rated (and selling) cases out there. It is built with cooling in mind. The airflow is excellent with a large mesh-like front and large openings on the back & top. This combined with the six fans will keep things running cool. If you are someone who likes to tinker with things, it is very easy to access. The GPU, RAM and even CPU are easy to get to making future upgrades a breeze. It ships with two sticks of 16 GB DDR5 5600 RAM but there are two open slots to ad more if you like. And the ram is Corsair Vengeance, some of the best out there. The graphics card is an Nvidia RTX 3070. Not the newest generation of card, but not old either and still a high end card. The CPU is a 13th Gen i5. The days of the i5 being inferior to either the i7 or even the i9 are over. This is an amazing CPU that is fast. More than enough for a gaming machine. The RGB lighting is nice and all customizable. And I should mention this is a very quiet PC for a gamer. Even under load it is one of the quietest desktops I have ever used. Like I said earlier, this PC just exudes quality. So how does it perform? Well the best word I can use for it is "smooth". Everything from web browsing to gaming just runs smooth. I haven't had any crashing during gaming and it has been able to run every game I have tossed at it great. I'm using this with a 27" 4k 120HRz monitor so needless to say I wanted to see how things run at the highest resolution and maxed out settings. There has been nothing that has hung or crashed. Just smooth game play. Even at these settings frame rates have been in the 60's and 70's. Now most are never going to run games at these settings so it goes without saying at more traditional gaming resolutions the frame rates are very high. I can't imagine even the newest AAA games not working great. I like the fact that there is very little "bloat" as far as programs go. Nothing worse than setting up a new PC and needing to delete a ton of unwanted programs. Not an issue here. Also, I do a lot of photography so I wanted to see how well programs such as Lightroom ran on it. I can honestly say if you are creative minded and use a PC for photography or graphic design then I think this will work great for you. I have certain photo applications (de-noising and such) that can sometimes take a few minutes to complete with other computers. We are down to seconds to complete them now. Just amazing. There are a ton of pre-built gaming machines on the market. Most cut corners to save money. Not with this Corsair. All of the components are top quality and it looks & works great. Very highly recommended!

This is the best pre-built for the price I've seen

This computer is really good and I think it's a good pre-built if you don't want to build your own PC. The specs on this is fantastic for gaming in 1440p, which I think is the new standard for gaming resolutions. The computer is also great for production work with its 3070 and i5 13600KF. The only issue I have with the chosen CPU for this is that it doesn't come with a pre-built graphics card so it's a bit harder to diagnose any issues you have with the computer but that's not that big of a deal since Corsair's support is really good. There isn't a lot of bloat software installed either. iCUE controls your RGB settings so you can control the RGB lighting of the computer and it also comes with a Diagnostic program so you can check up on your computer. That's honestly about it that I found. I've played games from Apex Legends to Shadow of the Tomb Raider and I'm able to run them just fine with the maximum settings. I noticed that FPS doesn't stay completely on 144 for me (144 Hz monitor), but it doesn't drop significantly enough for me to notice. Overall, this computer is great and I recommend it for anyone looking for a good PC.

"Game with a vengeance"

Corsair has continued to cement themselves as one of the top leaders in the gaming pc community. Their vengeance line on offer, in particular the Vengeance i7400 makes a bold statement, "game with a vengeance".
The i7400 is reasonably priced for the amount of tech under the hood. Though the somewhat outdated cpu is an i5, it's
still a beast with a 13th gen Intel core paired with Nvidia's rtx 3070 gpu. Corsair has provided a hidden gem with above average performance and simple yet prolific design, coupled with Corsair's own iCUE interface. You can customize your rig with various options including profiles for games and complete suite of rgb lighting modes.
All while keeping performance at the forefront of your gaming needs. The vengeance can comfortably run triple A games like cyberpunk 2077 with fps upwards of 80 on 4k ultra settings, which is truly impressive. I myself have been having a blast playing apex legends with well over 130 fps on high settings. And with Xbox gamepass, you can enjoy a host of games on demand with cloud streaming. Individual performances will vary but playing Microsofts gears of war 5 on the cloud was surprisingly smooth and the Vengeance held its own. Corsair's i7400 flawlessly blends performance, high end quality and a fair price all wrapped in one.

So far so good, I’ve only had it for two weeks but have had zero issues so far. Getting 150ish fps on high settings. The best part is it’s 100% upgradable.
