This really threw me for a loop, but I went back to Best Buy and exchanged it with another pack for free. Both worked. Now my pc has 20 extra fps from the RGB

I build gaming computers so RGB is a big deal, but these stick’s RGB can only be controlled through Corsair’s proprietary iCue software. That means the lighting will overwrite ASUS, MSI or any other motherboard light control software. This forces you to run the iCue software every time you turn your computer on to synchronize the RAM’s lighting to everything else. If you’re planning on using all corsair components this is not a problem. They’re also pricey compared to something from Team Group or G Skills.
