Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the piece of plastic that sits over the light??? was broken and it was not sitting on the heatsink properly. causing the corsair software to unsync with it. making me have to restart. i have bought 2 sets of this ram from best buy and both are broken! the second ram kit i got BOOT LOOPS MY COMPUTER! beware when BESTBUY puts stuff on sale! sometimes its just because a product has a lot of returns and had bad Quality control so they discount it to get rid of broken inventory! it must be because so many discounted items ive bought from bestbuy has been broken!

However, one of the 2 ram chips was damaged. Upon plugging it in I had to switch around all my ports, and troubleshoot for over an hour, to find that the ram was the problem. Simply put, if you buy something from Best Buy, perhaps be apprehensive of the purchase enough to buy packs of 2.

Memory is sometimes faulty, so most likely this kit was as such from the factory, unfortunately. This isn't normal nor does it happen all the time, but it does happen, so I'm sorry to hear it happened to you. Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought on October 20th and had problems with the entire set up up until now when I FINALLY got it chalked down to the STICKS being FAULTY and that’s the entire reason me PC keeps crashing and blue screening. Memory management crashes, fault hardware crashes, and many more blue screen crashes because of these faulty sticks. Will not be buying from this brand again.

The new gen Corsair ram sticks are absolute garbage. I tried to clock them at there rated speed and my PC would crash. Looked at 100 reviews and people seemed to say the same thing. Gskill for new gen is the only way to go.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I would suggest making sure your motherboard's BIOS is up-to-date and that you are using this memory kit with an Intel system, rather than AMD.
