    Crash 4 on the Go!

I really enjoyed Crash 4 on my PS4. When they announced that it was coming to Switch, I was very excited. I got it on sale during Black Friday (November 2021). I've been enjoying playing on the go on Switch. Now as for the graphics, it actually looks almost the same. Of course, the other console versions have a higher resolution, but the graphics still look pretty good. There are some minor differences in lighting or shadows, but its minor. Is there any lag? The only lag I experienced was at the beginning where Crash reveals the Toys 4 Bob logo and lag during the loading screens. Speaking of loading screens, I'm not sure if it's longer or not. I played the PS4 version as well. I think it's about the same. I think. I'm not sure. Otherwise, I didn't really experience that much lag during gameplay. When docked, the graphics look good, in handheld mode, there is a bit of dithering when enemies or obstacles are farther away. Or some other shading details. It's not too bad really. The game still looks decent on the Switch. The Switch case looks nice. Sadly, no reversible cover. Overall, I had a good time playing it on the Switch. Would recommend for those who love this game and want to play it on the go.

Just want to start saying that this game it's worth every penny of it's $40 price tag. It's the best Crash game on the series with the same game play and fun expected plus on the Nintendo Switch it looks fantastic and the controls work great too. I believe it's one of the best looking games on the Switch right now so don't hesitate to grab this one for your collection, you will thank me later.

As a Nintendo gamer I never got a chance to play a Crash Bandicoot game before so I was excited to see Crash 4 come to the Switch. It look a little while to get a feel for Crash, such as the running towards/away from the camera (which was very different), but once I did I had a great time. In the game you play as Crash or Coco, going through levels in different themed worlds, each of which has challenges to beat on top of just finishing the levels. Eventually you unlock mirrored versions of the levels, each with a fun visual effect per world. At various points in the game you also play as some other characters with their own mechanics, which adds some nice variety. Despite all the fun, this game gets really hard at times, often frustratingly so. But with practice you will get better, and you will want to complete some of the challenges to unlock character skins and art galleries, etc. The game has a retro option that lets you play like old Crash games with only 3 lives per level, but the modern option gives you unlimited lives, a generous checkpoint system, and more - that is the way I would recommend playing. Completionists beware though - there is even more to do than I’ve mentioned here and even the best gamers will tear their hair out trying to do it all, so I would say just beat the game, and do the extras you want. Port-wise the game runs really well. There’s some loading before each level, but respawning after dying is fast thankfully (and trust me, you will due a lot!). The game looks terrific despite the Switch being less powerful than the other systems Crash 4 is on, and the sound is fantastic, especially the voice acting. In summary, Crash 4 is a great game for platform fans, but can be very challenging. If you aren’t fond of tough games, maybe knock one star off the score for yourself.

Love crash bandicoot. It was my all time favorite game growing up as a young teen. My daughter had grown to love it. This new take on crash is cool I've not had chance to play myself yet but I've watched my daughter and it looks fun a d she enjoys it.

After so many years, we finally get a legitimate sequel in the Crash Bandicoot franchise and it lives up to the expectations. It plays really well on the switch but keep in mind, it is a very difficult game, especially if you're aiming to 100% it.

I'm not a big Crash fan. I found #4 to be way too frustrating. I'm not a huge platform player so it's just not what I like. I don't like dying so much and having to time things exactly or you'll die. I'm sure it's fine if you like this kind of game. It does look and play well on the Switch. Maybe not as good as PS4/5, but still good.
