This game has a Penguin in it!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never played a crash game before. I always through the years hear about the games over and over again. Then recently Activision rereleases HD remakes that look beautiful. This is my first crash game, and I honestly sold Mario Kart 8 deluxe because I’ve played MK8 since Wii U Release, and Crash racing is such a refreshing and fun kart racing game. The graphics are beautiful, such a clean HD remastering of the old and blocky PS1 graphics. Highly recommend this game, not bad for the price point. And this game has a penguin. Penta Penguin...that has a NINJA SKIN!! That is SWEET!!

Nitro Fueled Racing
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You will likely not be going back to Mario Kart any time soon! This game is intense fun with slightly more challenge than the other Kart type racing games. You will be addicted to this game.

Great game
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game. Bought this game to play with my kids, and we have been having a blast. There are many tricks to learn to give you an advantage, or should I say to help you keep up (similar to Mario Kart). I suggest practicing before beginning the actual races since they do have a steep learning curve.

A fun kart racer.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is a fun racer. It takes a little bit getting used to the controls. And it is difficult if not playing on Easy mode. It is packed with content. Lots of tracks, modes, and characters. Fun to play solo and with friends or family. If you are done with Mario Kart try this one. The price is decent too.

The Best Non-Mario Racing Game is Back and Better!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ah, my favorite non-Nintendo video game mascot along with Spyro is back in his original glory. Lots of remastered and new content and very much worth the price. Some unfair difficulty spikes here and there for fully completing the game past 100%, but it's a very enjoyable game overall.

Very Good remaster / remake. Sometimes difficult.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game, once you figure it out, is a lot of fun. However you have to figure it out. Once you learnt he maps and proper drifting skills it's very fun to go play through the maps on a Medium difficulty. If you're not very good at the game Medium will be very hard to beat. The downside is, going down to easy, is too easy. There needs to be an in between or you need to get very good. There are lots of modes to play, grand prix, adventure, multiplayer, battle, time trials, and more. Lots of characters as well but some come at a cost. This game is very grindy, and they've now added in microtransactions for unlocking characters if you dont want to spend your hard earned credits. Flaws but very fun in my opinion. Its rewardingly difficult.

Almost as Good as I Remember
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Boy, the nostalgia hits home with this game. It feels harder than the original, or maybe I just got worse as I got older... But overall the tracks look stunning (maybe a bit too much detail as it can be mildly distracting while driving). There is little mercy in the races and you can go from first to last with one hit, there doesn't seem to be any rubberband mechanics aside from the usual better weapons when in a bad place. If you loved the original get it and if you want something a little harder than Mario Kart, get it!

Excellent Kart racer for Switch
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game handles just as well as the original CTR and is straight-up beautiful. Load times can be a little long, but if you lose, you can retry instantaneously without having to wait again. I think this game lends itself to the Switch better than Mario Kart because you don't have to commit to four races in order to unlock additional characters/karts - you can do one quick race here and there and receive a small reward even if you don't place first. Because of that, I never feel like my time in this game is being wasted.

Good, but takes some getting used to...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've held off from buying Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, since I already owned it on the Wii U. So, since I've been itching for a new kart racer, I jumped on this. I never played the original, despite loving the original crash trilogy on the PS1. The game looks great, and I love the overall vibes, but boy, the controls took some getting used to. I initially wasn't a fan of power-sliding, since it required 2 separate buttons to initiate, along with specific timing. But after putting some hours into the game, I'm finally starting to get the hang of it. That said, even though I'm generally having fun, I still find myself getting frustrated on occasion. Definitely recommended, but don't expect a straight Mario Kart clone.

A Fun, Yet Challenging Kart Racer!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having never played the original Crash Team Racing, I was pretty excited to see this first announced back in December 2018. Now that I have played it for about almost two months, the game has been on an interesting collision course to say the least. Let's get this out of the way. CTR is vastly different than Mario Kart. I learned this the hard way. It took me a good while to learn the controls and drifting mechanics of CTR, but through playing through the game's different modes and finding different ways to win, I found myself getting better at the game through practice. Similar to Mario Kart, there are vast array of characters in the Crash series, with many still being added through the seasonal Grand Prix mode. Customization, while only cosmetic, is also fun. CTR comes packed with content outside of the aforementioned characters and Grand Prix mode. Players have access to an adventure mode, several tracks (including ones from Nitro Kart), battle modes, and different time trials. There is a lot to do in this game. One of the downsides to this game have to be its online. While I do have a pretty good internet connection, I still find myself getting hit with items frequently without knowing they are oncoming or where they are. Another downer is the inclusion of microtransactions, which allow players to use real money to buy wumpa coins. While the game items, such as karts, skins, and wheels, do not enhance character statistics, in-game purchases encourage the targeted people to buy more coins with real money. Despite those issues, CTR: Nitro-Fueled is packed with a lot of content, ranging from characters, modes, and a seasonal Grand Prix. The high difficulty learning curve might be a turn off for some, especially those playing at parties, but this latest Crash remake is fun for those looking for a brand new challenge.

So Nostalgic
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Similar enough to the original CTR but updated enough that it takes on a new life of itself own. Much better graphics. And a new Grand Pric mode that allows you to unlock items & characters. Also online mode as well. I will say this game is no joke it's actually pretty difficult I had to turn it down to easy mode when I first got started.

One of the best kart racers around!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is absolutely amazing and definitely a better alternative (in my humble opinion) compared to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This game shines in fast and engaging gameplay , a wide variety of game modes compared to most kart racers, and a hilarious/great lineup of Crash characters. Though the biggest problem is definitely online, especially with the disconnects, peer-to-peer system, and poor item balancing.

Another remastered classic
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Crash Team Racing is a great kart racer, probably the best one on the Switch besides Mario Kart. It’s super fun, it looks great and there’s a ton of tracks to race. My only complaint is that the difficulty seems to be pretty sporadic. Some races are extremely difficult and others are pretty easy. I wish this issue would get fixed but it’s still worth picking up and playing.

Good and Challenging
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.CTR brings back the nostalgia for the remastered version. It can be a bit challenging and frustrating at times. You must master the power slide technique in order to succeed in the game. New comers may find the game unfair and difficult, but the game is satisfying and worth the challenge.
